The entire line of Taurus G series pistols are the best pistols available today, reliability- and dollar-wise. Their value is unbeatable. Taurus rules!
The Daggers are pretty impressive too. They dont have many series upgrades yet but there are tons of variations availiable and a brand new pistol with optics cut and threaded barrel for $300ish bucks is impressive. The triggers are great and they just run.
Taurus realized they could make more money if they didn't make crappy guns and instead made stuff people actually want to buy. They're really coming around.
@@MA-lq6eb My experience with Caniks is they are great shooters at the range. But when it comes to carrying it on you, they feel more bulky than the Taurus' G-series do. A pistol also has to feel good in your hand, almost like it is a natural extension of it. The Tauruses do that for me more than the Caniks do. Your mileage may differ, of course.
Taurus doesn't get enough respect on the gun channels. Of the ones I do see, you and Hop from TFBTV are the most positive, with Honest Outlaw close behind. I have the G2C and the TH9C, and they've both been very reliable. Only issues I've had is the recoil spring on the G2C wimped out after 2 or 3 thousand rounds, replaced it with a better one from Lakeline, and swapping out the sights on the TH9C was a nightmare because the front does not have a set screw, it relies purely on a tight friction fit. Gunsmith finally had to drill a pin into the slide.

I had the G3 in black before the G3B with steel sights. I got the Fiber Optics sights from Lakeline llc, and even surprised myself by putting them on myself. It looked menacing afterward. I have this Taurus G3. In black I paid $286.00 plus tax. I haven’t shot it yet but I’m planning on taking it to the range. I’m gonna put 200 rounds through it to break it in. This gun is reliable and has quality. Nice review sir second amendment carry on.
I bought one over a year ago and would not chamber the round properly. Never got one shot out of it… I returned it. Probably won’t buy another Taurus. However I’m glad this gentleman likes his and hopes it works great for him for years to come.
You have good taste in firearms sir. I have a g2c and the highpoint carbine, both have been very dependable firearms even though they are budget guns. I'm glad there are options for people like me that want to protect their family, but do not have the funds to get the top dollar firearms. Good video sir.
I must agree with yo on your opinion of the Taurus G3. I own one and when I got it home the first thing I did was clean the gun and the magazines. First range session of 200+ rounds of 115 gr FMJ, 124 gr FMJ, 124 gr. JHP, 124 gr FMJ steel case, 125 gr RNFP cast & PCed. and 125 gr RNFP cast nekkid. I had zero FTF and very good accuracy. I prefer the "full size" over a compact and the G3 fits me perfectly. Good video!
So very sad with my P365X, bought almost $700 in my area. Tested 1st magazine failed to battery in the 6th round, second magazine failed to battery in the 7th round and the third magazine gone through. It is my EDC. Now, I trust it 50/50. Waiting for CSX new generation.
That looks sweet. I don't currently have any wonder 9s. Definitely high on the consideration list. Good shooting my friends and thank you for the years of unbiased practical non snob entertaining content. Much love and peace on the plane. Cheers
Taurus has definitely stepped up in quality over the past few years. Given their previous yo-yo reputation for quality control and customer service, I would love to see high round count long term testing done on their newer offerings. I can appreciate how expensive & time consuming such an undertaking would be.
Hello Chris. I would love to be able to perform high round count reviews in my videos but unfortunately I just don't have the money or resources to do so. Bigger channels have ammo manufacturers send them ammo but my channel is too small for that to happen, at least for now.
Ive bought 3 G series and one TX22: G2C : now Wifes gun -1,200 Rounds, no issues. G3 : Son now owns it. - 2,000 at least, no Issues. G3C : 1,700 rounds, no issues. TX-22 : Sons first handgun - way over 2,000 rounds of .22. He keeps it cleaned and it keeps on chugging. Taurus builds dependable Guns. Honest Outlaw has put over 2,000 rounds through both a G2C and a G3 with Zero malfunctions! Interestingly he says the G2C is more accuarate than the G3. (For you G2C Owners)
@Echosdad2 Thank you for the very kind words. I love shooting, I love firearms and I love making these simple, fun videos. And I agree, I really am just like my audience......except I have a transporter 😁
Had the G2C but I let it get away. Wish I still had it. GX4 next on my list. Glad to see you appreciate Taurus. They’ve really come a long way and are true contenders. Good shooting!
I picked up the Tactical version as a low cost suppressor host and I did get it for dealer price, so it helped. I do have some nice pistols and honestly for the price/performance I agree 100% you cannot beat it. I have one client "female" has really latched onto these and keeps buying different versions and loves them all. I wouldn't have believed myself that they were that cool until I fired my own and I like the trigger better than a Glock by far.
Hello Michael. I also own some nice pistols but I always seem to grab my Taurus pistol when I'm headed out into the desert to explore or shoot. Glock, Ruger and Sig have some serious competition with the Taurus G-series and they better take note.
Love the g3 full sized. Bought it as kind of a gunbroker impulse buy. It turned into one of my favorite pistols. Trigger breaks a bit far back for me but i learned to just stick a bit more finger in it and youll be shooting fine.
Always happy to see a new video from you guys! Congrats on the new addition. It looks especially cool in that color combo. This whole 9mm series from Taurus looks like a really good value. You guys showed it off well! 👏 👍
I dig the G series. I have the PT111 G2, G2C and G3 T.O.R.O… Best money I have spent on firearms. All 3 guns for the price of a Glock with aftermarket sights and a trigger job. Now all of the reviewers need to leave Taurus’ past in the past. I don’t see people doing Sig reviews constantly mentioning the problems with the P365 when it launched. It’s time to put Taurus past to bed when reviewing their firearms. The quality has improved and getting better and has for quite some time now.
Hello Darren. I have been a Star Trek fan since I was about ten years old, although I wouldn't call myself a Trekkie. I have never been to a convention, I don't own any pointed ears, Starfleet uniforms, or a Tricorder (only because my wife won't let me). I might have a phaser laying around somewhere though 👍😎
One of those is next up on my wishlist! Love my G3c has been perfect almost! Just picked up a TX22 and now need the full size G3. Its really nice that the slides and mags will all interchange with exception of the 12rd mags wont fit the G3 or G3x of course. Really love the Taurus lineup. I have G3c, 6"-M66 357-7rd, TX22 and also a Rossi 22LR Rio Bravo lever with wood furniture. I have zero complaints on any of them except I wish I had them all lol! Ya'll Have a great weekend! Planning on doing a little range time with my son this weekend as well :D
Love the echo's after each shot. Adds a bit of a unique feature to your already great video's. Love the "Star Wars" beam down at the beginning. I have a Taurus G3 black with stainless slide and just ordered a G3c this afternoon, trading in a Ruger LCP 380 acp that is just too rough on my 72 year old hands.
Hello Robert. I have a feeling that you are going to love your new G3c and you made a good trade. I am hoping to pick up a GX4 sometime in the future and doing a review on it, which should be a lot of fun.
I love my taurs compact. Stright shooting, grip texture is very good, sights do fine for me. I even grew to like the loaded chamber thingy. 2nd strike? Use it or not it is up to you. I don't understand why folks hate on them. Not everyone can afford a top end gun this day and age we live in. I say spend what you save on it for ammo and PRACTICE! As always top notch video. Always informative and entertaining.
I was 👮🏼♀️for 36 years. When most agencies starting transitioning to semi autos in late 80s a lot went to glocks. My dept started out with the 17 9mm then went to the 22 40s&w. I shot them from 89 to 17 never had problems with them. Eventually I got a s&w shield 9mm still got decent gun. Taurus years ago had issues with quality. Ive had good luck with them though. I bought a taurus g2c several years ago and put about 5k rds through it. I was leary when I got it but its well worth the money. I carry it now all the time. A great product only gripe I have is slide finish aint as great as some others but hard to beat for the price. 👍🏼
My g2c was marked off from 268 to 161 and it was brand new. I had it for 3 years and I love it and it’s never let me down. I look forward to upgrading to the g3 pretty soon
My G3 C is stainless with black polymer and was 300. Everyone gives me a glare when I say I like it as good as my Glock 19 if not a little better. I agree you can’t beat the price with the quality of these handguns!!
I waited longer before buying my G3C because I wanted it in OD Green and Black.... Finally found one online and got it. Now 1,700 rounds later, I still love it!
I never was much of a Taurus fan but I bought one and liked it so much I went back and bought another one.. For $250.00 I dont think you can find a better pistol. I put about 500 rounds through my pistol and had several stove pipes. That was because of cheap ATS X-Force ammo. Runs perfect on good ammo.
I have the G3TORO and it shoots and feels great. The bundles for the G3C at Academy Sports and Outdoors are amazing. I won’t the G3C and GX4XL next. Awesome job on the video has usual .
8:49 ejects a perfectly good round from the chamber lol. Jokes aside. Thank you for showing this. Love the various sizes on the G series Taurus pistols. Good test!
I went from carrying a Glock26 to a G2c cause it felt better in my hand , now I carry a G3 toro . Great guns , accurate c, reliable and feel much better in my hand than my Glocks .
I got all 3 G series G2c...G3c and the Tungsten slide 2 tone GX4....I love Taurus guns price is great but not the reason I own my 4....including a 856 revolver...Taurus is making Just plain good guns ...I have Smith and Wessons and Rugers these are up there too...I feel Taurus has redeemed itself and is now a world Player to stay in the gun Industry!!...Taurus new Leadership and Vision has paid off....CEO did Great Job on Turnaround!!!
Love the outtakes, looked like you guys had fun. You guys are great shots and fun to watch , even if your not shooting. My friend recently picked up the g3x and we put over 100 rounds though it last weekend, with no problems. But I have seen a couple people having issues with their Taurus revolvers gun Sam revolver had a issue with a 856 and garageguy879 had a 942 22 magnum. Thanks for the video
I have the original G2 and carry it just about every day as a welder/mechanic it’s been in the dirt or in the grit while metal working, it has been banged and dropped and not cleaned much or taken care of well- because I didn’t want or need a nice pretty gun. It works every time I have pulled it out to shoot any rodents etc around the house- I’ve never had it malfunction in the 2-3 years I’ve had it. Upgraded sights and the SS tube are the only additions. Honestly, many times I’ve almost went and bought a Glock, S&W, etc for twice what I paid for the G2- and each time I think what am I buying for 2-3-400 $ more? Then I think: Nothing really- and walk away with the trusty G2..
My Taurus G pistols all shoot just as well as my Glock pistols, and at half the price. Because of the reliability, low cost, and high demand for these pistols I will predict that the Taurus G-series pistols will double in price over the next two or three years.
You are a wise man and quite correct. No issues with my G2C. Got an M&P 2.0 compact recently ( new gun) and it had almost 100% feeding failure first time at the range. Twice the price of my Taurus. I couldn't believe. Fortunately, S&W fixed it under warranty and its good now. But it is concerning it apparently got past S&W quality control in the first place.
My first Pistol was a G2C... Loved shooting it. It ate everything with zero complaints. My wife shot it and really wanted one. So Santa gave her the G2C for Chrismas. She put a Laser on it, and named it Petunia, and now its a Purse Gun... lol. The Full size G3 had just came out and I wanted it bad anyway.... So it gave me the perfect excuse to get one. Then the G3C (my favorite) when it came out a year after that.
Awesome! Glad someone else likes my go to house Gun! Mine's all black but I got it for $260 awhile back. It's now in a MCK gen 2 brace. You guys can really shoot!
I'm a glock person, but I also like these Taurus g3's. I think the takedown lever on the Taurus g3 is way better than the little bitty ones the glocks have.
I ( Used!) To be a Gun Snobb & Taurus HATER! Due to my Past experiences back in Late 80's early 90's..Longg story short?? I NOW OWN 4 G3's! All RUN GREAT! Picked up my 4th Today. Great Meat n Potatoes Knock around Range pieces, EDC, or Nitestand. They 've Been Utterly Reliable! Live & Learn..God Bless...😊
My 1st G3 was just like yours. I put Truglo Professional tritium/fiber optic sights on it, added a 1200 lumen light and ended up around $450. My 2nd G3 was all black for $249. Adding the same Truglo Professional sights to it up to $370. Not yet satisfied, I picked up a G3C for $249 and added Ameriglo sights from Taurus for $65. The stainless over green G3 with the light is my night stand gun, the black G3 is my normal EDC, and the G2C is my staying around the house gun although it serves as a back up for either of the G3s. When my back and sciatica problems kick up. I sometimes find my self carrying my Taurus 856 Defender so my right hip won't be mean to me. All of these are much better than the PT-111 my brother bought 20 years ago. Stay safe.
i got a black one awhile back since i wanted a full size pistol, really like it.only had 1 problem but was ammo fault, new box of fiocchi 115 fmj, 1 round would not chamber all the way ,hit the back of slide to force into battery, took care of it
I love my G3 and G3C's. Mine are basic black but they shoot great. One thing I noticed that I don't think you mention is that the G3 now sports the same Glock-type sights as the G-3. Both of mine are uber reliable (so far) and very accurate. They both are easy to shoot well too - they feel good as you're shooting. I do have a complaint about your vids.... you don't make enough! lol
You're right, I didn't mention that the G-3 uses Glock type sights. I also didn't mention that the G-series also uses Sig P226 magazines. It sucks getting old 👍😁
I wish Taurus would put more color variations out into the market... Its been years and I'm still waiting for colored frame G3's and G3C's in my area. It's not like these firearms aren't popular.
I own a G3, pt140 and a model 66 revolver and love them all! Carry the G3 daily, pt140 is my truck gun. Take the model 66 deer hunting, drops them where they stand!
I now have two G3s and both are brown with a black slide. I bought both from pawn shops about a year apart, the last one I only paid $105.50 for it and it looks new.

that exact pistol is the third reason I will never touch another Taurus product. Ever.
I own a G2C , G3X & GX4
All run fantastic
Confirmation that Taurus pistols work well in the right hands. Nice shooting and great video. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
I love your channel. You tell us how it is, you aren’t biased. Just giving us great content and you review guns of all different price ranges.
So very sad with my P365X, bought almost $700 in my area. Tested 1st magazine failed to battery in the 6th round, second magazine failed to battery in the 7th round and the third magazine gone through. It is my EDC. Now, I trust it 50/50. Waiting for CSX new generation.
taurus are awesome! my bro use to have a taurus slim 9mm and we put thousands of rounds thru it
That looks sweet.
I don't currently have any wonder 9s.
Definitely high on the consideration list.
Good shooting my friends and thank you for the years of unbiased practical non snob entertaining content.
Much love and peace on the plane.
Cheers
Nothing is like having a shootout with your son on a great day. Thank you for sharing.
Ive bought 3 G series and one TX22:
G2C : now Wifes gun -1,200 Rounds, no issues.
@@VonGoth Useful info, thanks.
Left handed shots tell the tale. Still accurate and well designed enuff to pull off one handed and non dominate hand shoyd.
Had the G2C but I let it get away. Wish I still had it. GX4 next on my list. Glad to see you appreciate Taurus. They’ve really come a long way and are true contenders. Good shooting!
Hello Alan. The GX4 is also on my list and I hope to do a review on it sometime in the future.
Thanks for the nice compliment E 👍🤠 👍😎
I love the G series from Taurus, I have the G3C and it's been great. Nice shooting and I love that color on that one, sweet!!
Best pistol in the world for the money, can't beat it
That is a nice two-tone! I foolishly sold my G3C last year, but am looking to get the full size here soon. Just a nice budget option for anyone.
I have the g2c. I love it. I will get the 3 of those as well.
The G3 is next on my list. I have the G2C and and SD9 am a big fan of both. Great job on the review, I always enjoy your content!
Much appreciated Adam. My son and I had a blast making this video and we are glad you enjoyed it.
Ive bought 4 Taurus, but Ive heard good things about the SD9...
I really like these videos. The Lake Meade videos are interesting too. Love the intro, where you teleport in. I'm thinking you have to be a Trekkie. 😁
You also have a great weekend. Have fun at the range with your son and cherish the memories.
These pistols just work, period! Great video as always man! 👍🏻👊🏻👍🏻
@@VonGoth that’s awesome I bet it is a handsome piece
Awesome gun. They took a great model and made it even better.
Taurus G Series are definitely a Best Buy 4 Your Bucks. They keep on working. 🇺🇸 👍
Excellent! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on my video. 👍😎
I have the G3TORO and it shoots and feels great. The bundles for the G3C at Academy Sports and Outdoors are amazing. I won’t the G3C and GX4XL next. Awesome job on the video has usual .
Great simple video! I appreciate the honest test
I want a place to shoot that has the awesome echo you folks have! Good video …
Thank you Richard 👍👍
8:49 ejects a perfectly good round from the chamber lol. Jokes aside. Thank you for showing this. Love the various sizes on the G series Taurus pistols. Good test!
You guys are expert shots! Holy cow!
Thank you Richard 👍👍
Still the best channel on you tube, keep up the good work.
Wow, thanks Daryle. You just made our day!
@@mixup98 Chuck Connors Approved!
I totally agree with you Leonard. Taurus has been producing some very nice firearms under their new leadership.
Absolutely love my Taurus pistols G2c G2s G3 black and G3 two tone and 709 Slim best bang for buck hands down
I have the original G2 and carry it just about every day as a welder/mechanic it’s been in the dirt or in the grit while metal working, it has been banged and dropped and not cleaned much or taken care of well- because I didn’t want or need a nice pretty gun.
I had the gc2 which I love shooting it and just purchased the gx4 also a great shooter
I have a 709 slim 9mm. Single stack. Great gun
I just bought this exact model for my main carry.💙💙
Excellent choice! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on my video.
Nice shooting I just bought a g3 last week I love it
Good choice 👍😎
Awesome! Glad someone else likes my go to house Gun! Mine's all black but I got it for $260 awhile back. It's now in a MCK gen 2 brace. You guys can really shoot!
Hello Tim. I have looking at the MCK brace and I just might pick one up in the near future and do a review on it.
@@mixup98 Cool! You should. It's a solid and inexpensive upgrade. I love mine!
If you've been watching Mixup for long, than you know that the best $200 he ever spent on a gun was on a Maverick 88.
Facts
Gorgeous video, man. I love it.
Stay safe.
i got a black one awhile back since i wanted a full size pistol, really like it.only had 1 problem but was ammo fault, new box of fiocchi 115 fmj, 1 round would not chamber all the way ,hit the back of slide to force into battery, took care of it
I need this gun next. With that little bit of extra length, I know it will be more accurate with less recoil than my g2c. Thanks for the video 📹
You are very welcome and thank you for being a one-year subscriber to my channel.
We have the same G3, I love mine! My other Taurus are the G2C (12rnd) and the 605 poly .357.
Hello Brock. I also own a 605 poly .357 Great minds think alike 👍😁
I purchased the very same guns, G3 and Poly Protector 357. Love them.
It sucks getting old 👍😁
@@mixup98 touche - I didn't know about the Sig mags.... good to know thanks!!
Nice shooting by both of you. Looks like a lot of fun.
Holy shit that fade-in at the beginning was something… aha LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Thank you Brandon....we love you too and have a great weekend.
I love seeing your pawn shop finds.
This G3 wasnt a Pawn Shop Find. He paid that New, out the door Price at a Gun Shop.
I wish Taurus would put more color variations out into the market... Its been years and I'm still waiting for colored frame G3's and G3C's in my area.
It's not like these firearms aren't popular.
Good video… I bought one of these as soon as it became available and it’s been a flawless gun, I don’t think you can buy a better pistol at that price
The Father and Son team have done it again! Great gun and great video!
I’m waiting for the full size G3 without the manual saftey then I might grab one. They look great for the price!
I rely on your recommendation, and I think it would make an ideal piece to my collection. Thanks guys!🇺🇸😊
Mixup 98 has sold quite a few guns for Taurus, mhm.
I own a G3, pt140 and a model 66 revolver and love them all! Carry the G3 daily, pt140 is my truck gun. Take the model 66 deer hunting, drops them where they stand!
That photo of father and son sitting in the end with that music in the background was so good.
Thank you Farhan 👍😎 👍😎
I now have two G3s and both are brown with a black slide. I bought both from pawn shops about a year apart, the last one I only paid $105.50 for it and it looks new.
What an amazing price!!!
Thank you for the great content. Enjoy your channel immensely. Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated Bodine 👍😎
