The HyperX Alloy Rise is a very effective product when it comes to comfort, typing experience, and general keyboard use, but it seems to forget about the gamer. It is more closely related to the streaming community, who are looking for a new shiny object to put on camera or for kids who need something fun and entertaining to fiddle with.
More compromises arise where the major selling points of switch, color, frame, and badge customization seem a bit premature and misguided. I don't think gamers will resonate as much as they want with this product or the additional accessories that aren't even available in mass. By the time the Alloy Rise keyboard has a large amount of add-ons or colors, a new product will be released, and life will go on. This is just my prediction, as I hope they prove me wrong, but this item release seems big-headed.

Gaming keyboards have come a long way. Only gonna get better with time too. Thanks for the review! 👍
1. Can the wheel button be used as sound mute button? 2. How quiet is the red switch?
not sure if you mentioned it or not, but can you put other switches on this keyboard? or does it have to be the hyperx options? I have several third party switches that I would like to use
It's fully hot-swappable. You can use any switch you want (except optical switches).
@@user-vw7kc5tk3v Perfect, Thank you! I just got mine and its great so far stock. Glad to know I can change it to other switches if I wanted to. I'm excited to see once they release the plate options
Around 175USD for a 100% MKB w/ hotswappable switches does sound like a just-above standard deal, totally get the C+.
That being said, the only time I want my keyboard to be flat in the traditional grid is when it's the default that comes w/ the device.
Give me tent and splay or with thee I shan't play.
I really hate that yours is the only "review/preview" of this keyboard right now. I didn't need to see your face for 95% of the video. Just show the product.
the video is labeled review after 5 min as the beginning is the unboxing. The review has 0 of my face in it for 8 min straight :)
@@NoisyPixelNewsI think he's just jealous of your good looks
$200.
I know right
@@NoisyPixelNewsYour review wasn't very thorough. You missed key features. 8K polling, gasket mounted, ambient light sensor. Didn't call out the fact there is a 75% for $169.99
Please be more comprehensive if you plan on reviewing product.
Honestly these new age polling rates are so fast that you would not notice any difference in my opinion. It’s like discussing wireless over wired nowadays, there isn’t a difference anymore, and it gets repetitive to state in reviews when it doesn’t really affect my opinion on the hardware.
The fact that it goes on sale is neither here nor there.
Regarding the gasket structure I do a sound test during the unboxing section and do mention typing comfort and experience but I guess you got me on the fact I never used the word “gasket” 😦
@@NoisyPixelNews The point of a review is to be informative though right? Just because you don't think it is beneficial doesn't mean others feel the same. For example, if a keyboard has optical switches, would you not call it out because you don't see the benefit in them vs mechanical? That's kinda odd. To add, I didn't mention anything about the keyboard going on sale. There is a 75% version of this keyboard. 75% is a keyboard form factor.
Have a good night.
I thought you meant 75% as a sale lmao. There is a line i draw during reviews where you have to ask yourself, am I just reading specs, or am I actually reflecting on the product's user experience.
I suppose watching other reviews helps too, because I might discuss topics that others dont, and vice versa.
