If you're really tight on the money, the CIY tester 68 (available basically around the world)is also an option. It is as barebones as it possibly can. It was my first board and I would say it does what it is meant to do.
If you missed out on getting the Cycle 8, then you would probably like the NEO 80. It also has ball-and-catch for the case plus a magnetic connector for the PCB
Totally agree and I owned 3 of them personally and they are great for guys that are not too demanding but want to elevate their typing experience with wonderful price performance ratio.
Trick: If you want a TKL that can be build no foam, clacky like higher end boards, buy the mainland Chinese version of the Monsgeek M3. It has everything you want: "accidently" well designed sound chamber, 1.6 mm pcb without flex cut, almost evenly distributed gasket point (just remove the one under the spacebar) and north facing stab wire.
AULA F75 is budget king in my opinion. Just ordered it from (taobao) for 199 yuan (about 20-30 USD original price in America is 69.99) it’s kinda like a better HI75 but a plastic case.
I'VE ALREADY REWATCHED THE PREVIOUS ONE LIKE 7 TIMES JUST WAITING FOR THE NEW ONE TO DROP AND YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT WITH THIS ONE AT ALL! also (taking a break from the caps lock lol) congrats on 100k!!
This is a pretty solid list. The one I wish I had the money for right now, is the Killer65. I know it's your board, but it definitely deserves to be on the list anyway. Really solid board for not an insane amount of money. (just more than my poverty level income ass can afford right now...maybe FB will stop throttling the reach for my page and I can get one eventually now that I'm monetized there)
dude, u say that the GMK series are very cheap and viable option bt for us here in India,, its around 15000/- ~ 180$(approx) which is a lot of money for a keyboard man,,, please do some keyboards which are little more viable for us too.. coz India is a very large market
I'm sure someone has or will mention the Neo series but I would add the Luminkey65, you can get it barebones or pre-built. I went barebones with WS Heavy Tactiles and GMK BoW and it is definitely one of the best sounding keyboard I own. They might send you one if you ask as they are trying to keep them in stock and probably need to get the word out. The NuPhy GEM80 is also very nice and has, at least to me, a unique sound signature as well. I would hope they as well would send you a review unit... I mean you are over 100K subs, they both should want to hear your thoughts as we do. Great list, guess I need to try the Cycle7 soon!
I truly can't wait to try one of your boards! You have consistently given great information and recommendations throughout my little mech adventure! It is really exciting to see someone trusted in the community branching out into creating products for the community at large!I I will definitely be reviewing one of your boards and getting it into some of my placement photos! Thanks for all that you do, my friend!
Big thumbs up and love the awesome content up my guy!! I've been sucked into the keyboard hobby for a while and am in love with the horizontal scroll wheels (not knobs) on keyboards like the Luminkey75. It would be awesome if you could make a video about the niche-r aspects of the community, like solenoid keyboards!
I just ordered a Monsgeek M1W for around 55US delivered, I was thinking about the Sugar65 but I couldn’t find it in stock for a good price compared to the M1W
@@LewisToh you really should, in my opinion they the neo65 and neo70 are better than all the mid tier boards (80-130) and the neo80 rivals the top budget tkls
Probably was already said but Neo series. Just my opinion but I prefer them to the TKD Cycle boards and they tend to be cheaper with everything or more.
I'm very sure you've probably gotten this question, what are those keycaps in the thumbnail because I love them! Unless you've answered it in the video.
Crap. I wished your video came out earlier. Not sure what i would want as i am just starting out. So waiting for my Machenike K500 wired keyboard to arrive as i am typing this. Got it as it's one of the cheapest i can find. And since i am a beginner. I figured i can use it a couple of months then mod it a bit. Then maybe find something else in future if i decide to fall down that rabbit hole
I personally think that any board that is under 200$ is like low-mid tier, while there is no accurate price for the high end segment at all since there are a lot of fucking expensive board like austin, keycult, glacier and much more
Does the Monsgeek m series support VIA? I thought most of them didn’t, because there is now a M1W VIA edition coming out. No VIA support is what broke the deal for me.
I am looking for a budget silent keyboard I can use to game on, what would your recommendations be for one like this. My wife is starting to hate the sound of my keyboard 😂
In some online shopping applications, you can select 1000% off. Without this, it costs about 50 USD. Shopee for example provides vouchers depending on the paid price.
For those who lives in a country that uses ISO, i‘d say good fkn luck finding keycaps😂. I just got a Zoom75 recently for 300€ and i‘m still trying to find a keycap set that fits my keyboard
Hello! I love your videos, wanna scratch that off! I have a question though: I really dig the Sugar65 and HI75 and the prices you show for them are really appealing, but I cannot find them with these 35$ price tags. Can you please tell me where I can source them from? :)
$80-100 price point is Keychron V/V Max. I think they offer a lot of value for the price. They are coming out with the new Lemokey P1 with aluminum right at the $100 price point. Otherwise the Rainy75 when (or if) it comes down to the $100 price point is probably a good option as well. The SK71 is also interesting to me as a budget keyboard, they recently had it on sale for $61 on AliExpress.

weird that the sub growth went down so quickly after getting 100k 🤔🤔🤔
im just as confused honestly LOL
Probably cause the killer65 GB he ran was a pretty bad train wreck 🤷🏻♂️
There’s only so many keyboard nerds ig
I'm quite new here but congrats on the 100K. A comparison keycap video would be great to go with the budget custom keyboards

Thank you I wanted to start custom keyboards with something budget
lets go, get on
congratulations! 100k subs now 🎉
I can't even find Sugar65 boards anywhere. Everywhere that used to have them, they're sold out or discontinued.
they’re discontinued
I can't go down this rabbit hole. Great video.
Nice vid, rainy75 is also a good alternative budget keeb
havent tried it :(
sad they don't ship to third world countries
Womier SK71 is probably one of the best budget keyboards around too. Somewhat budget, complete kit at 100 bucks
What’s with the Yunzii AL Keyboards?
I'd love to see something about the Qwertykeys series, specifically the Qk75n 😊

Imo the ak820 pro was amazing especially for the price
Thanks for recommendation, very informative and detail
Hey man, you should do a video on most “premium keyboard” above the 200$ price range. I’d be interested to see your thoughts.
I recommend Yunzii AL66 , its wireless, aluminum, and 65%, its like a metal Gmk67
i got the gmk67 aluminum, honestly sounds exactly the same as the tofu boards
I just ordered a Monsgeek M1W for around 55US delivered, I was thinking about the Sugar65 but I couldn’t find it in stock for a good price compared to the M1W
thats a good option! sugar65 isnt very accessible to everyone

Rainy75 beat most if not all keyboard at $
I get worried that when I buy the key caps some bigger keys like shift and caps lock won’t fit does anyone know how to check
the gmk brand is actually most likley the best on here
wish you talk more about keycaps! Super support!
Have a good day;❤
you too❤️
cool vid i like the break down but imo id replace the tofu with a qk65 or 60 since its better and a bit cheaper

awww its alright, you can always still mod it as you said
as cycle7 user yes it is ez assemble BUT if you're using the FR4 plate it's not ez at all to disassemble 😅
The tofu 2.0 is a bit misleading for “mid” budget. A full complete build is more than $200
Hi Lewis. I love the killer65 you have created and noticed that you're working on a TKL. Will you be doing a Polycarbonate version of the TKL??
the TKL will be aluminium only, we havent really ventured into the polycarbonate side of things, but definitely looking into it!
