5:45 No, full-size has been the standard for so long because if someone is spending over 100 dollars on a gaming keyboard, they’re not only going to game, it is going to be used for work, and most people would prefer not to spend even more money to get another keyboard for work/fully mechanical numpad to match their tkl. So they’re very useful and ‘transitioning to tkl’ (meaning mainly tkl) wont be the right choice at all.

Just want to point out that the keycap is ABS that attracts your fingerprint very easily. The board itself might not attract fignerprints as bad, but black generally makes those tiny flake dust very visible if it sits on your desk for a long period of time.
the problem with HyperX right now is the software, Ngenuity is buggy as hell and it seems like no matter how much ppl complain they aren't doing anything about it.

I loved the Pulsefire Surge but having to create a virtual desktop to HIDE Ngenuity every day was annoying the crap out of me... I wrote to them and you what they said? Oh you cant minizine the software because it was developed in AWP, and I was like; IF YOU KNOW PPL HATE AWP APPS why would develop one that is intended for hardcore gamers using that platform? what is wrong with Win32? Cleary your Engineers did not do their research before starting the project... And as you might guess they have not replay to me after that one lol.

Purchased it earlier today. Absolutely loving the switches. I'm used to Cherry MX Brown, but these Red switches are A-MA-ZING! Best I've ever had. The keyboard is also so bright, incredible! The only downside is the price (€159), no wrist thing (not like I mind) and that it's full size. Would've loved a TKL version. Ah yes, and the crappy software. Overall a solid 9/10.
@@Kensai127 Software is not required. Honestly, I've done the RGB settings once in the software and never touched the program after again. It also doesn't start with boot. So I assume the keyboard has some internal memory regarding color/rgb profiles.

I have the 2018 board. I love the keyboard. HyperX released these keycaps for US layout but not for UK :( been trying to get them for over 6 months :( feels bad man. Might have to buy the keyboard just for it
While you might not need or want a num pad, taking it away entirely from gaming board would be a mistake. modular keyboards would be a good middle ground for this I suppose cause you can attach and detach them whenever you want, but the last thing I want to have to do is buy an extra thinjg I have to plug in because I hate typing numbers using a 1 - 9 layout instead of a keypad. it'll stick out from everything else too. I'm all about saving desk space but my setup is a home studio, I have much less space than all of you, my desk is always full of midi controllers and a numpad on my keyboard (logitech g512 for size reference) has not been an issue at all. you all just get too obsessed with Order and forget about functions.
I love these style keyboards because of the ease to cleaning the faceplate. I hate my key getting stuck because one of my animals deciding to rub up against it or sleep on it or next to it lol.
I just want the standard full size layout to have the numpad moved over to the left side. Then you have the hand spacing of a TKL with benefits of a numpad.
I’ve had this board for a good while now and I absolutely love it. The switches are the best I’ve used, the RGB is amazing and the build quality is really great. I plan on keeping this for a long time!

I love the Hyper X is not conforming to the TKL trend. I don't want to have to switch keyboards when I need to get some work done. I need my number pad, which is why I love my original Alloy Elite.
I got this keyboard just because it was the only one with an ISO spanish layout in the store (i am a native spanishj speaker. What a happy coincidence because I loved it!
its my first mechanical keyboard and i love it my dad got it for me when it was on sale at best buy. it's pretty much perfect for me with the way i got everything setup on my desk. i had a little paint peel off at the bottom but that's probably from using it so much, some testors paint helped cover it up. the rgb shining through the pudding keyboard keycaps is pretty and bright, and i like the way it sounds and feels when typing. i've been using openrgb for rgb software since i got a hyperx keyboard, razer mouse, and gigabyte motherboard, it lets me control all 3 of them, doesn't support as many effects but just want good matching colors for my wallpaper scheme. if you wear glasses the red accents underneath can give off a kinda cool "3d glasses" glare effect if you have your keys set to a nice blue or purple color
I hope that all my favorite mouse, keyboard, monitor and headset from one brand it will be nice looking setup, unfortunately I can't find my all my favorite things in one company..
Hyperx makes great keyboards and headsets, but their ram and mice are meh right now. I do have a hunch that they’re gonna do what’s called a pro gamer move with a great mouse in the near future though.
@@sish9912 their ram is prrtty good honestly, if you look at timings the only one better i could find was crucial ballistix 3600mhz cl16, to hyperx 3600mhz cl17, and yeah their mice arent that great, but there are some good ones

Im kinda late on the ball here but on the market for a new keyboard and after using membrane boards for basically my entire life, I'm being careful on what to switch to when it comes to Mechanical switches. I've seen this one aswell as HyperX Origins and Origins Core, but this one seems to be the way to go. 😁Although in terms of software, I would definitely recommend using the Light Studio inside the HP Omen Gaming Hub instead. That's why I'm looking at the keyboards I mentioned earlier as they are compatible with that software along with my HP X1000 Speakers. I like continuity. 😁
i can only warn everyone buying products from hyperX. the keyboard looks amazing, feels stiff and strong but the long term quality is terrible and not worthy a flagship, hyperX knows that, but refuses to help you, in case you contact the support, save yourselves troubles and look for other brands, my alloy elite lasted 2,2 years and the switches started to break down, talking about a minimum of 50mio clicks per switch... disappointing considering my last keyboard ve lasted over 12 years! same care and usage as always, i don't know if razer, corsair etc. got similar issues, i can only tell you not to waste your time and money on hyperX products
I decided to go for the Allow instead of this one because of the size. The top bar looks great but I feel like it’ll make my desk a bit more bulky than it should be. Plus, the top buttons are also integrated in the key with the Alloy. Regardless, both look great. The RGB and the typing sound with Hyperx red linear key sound absolutely amazing.
@@IMastexI keyboard still going strong but I also bought the Hyperx Pudding Keycaps because the keys do feel a bit cheap tbh. With the new keycaps (that make the keyboard feel and look better), it’s a great buy. The typing sound is amazing. The biggest thing I regret is not buying the version without the num pad. The upper number keys feel good enough to just use those (unless you have to you num pad) otherwise, my typing posture is a bit odd having my right hand typing closer to my left side of the body instead of shoulder with apart. Software: I haven’t installed it scared that is might mess up my keyboard or something. The reviews are beyond terrible. But the 3 presets it has already are good enough for me until (if there is one) a fix is placed.

it depends on your fingers if your have greasy fingers (which i don't have) then it will attract oil on keycaps

I have alloy origins core TKL and HyperX do really make good products, but the software is questionable.

Only HyperX Red switch is available, they should also put HyperX Aqua switch as option. They should also put dedicated Macro keys.

Two years seems reasonable for a ~$100 RGB mechanical keyboard.
As somebody with the OG Alloy Elite the only changes I noticed where the keycaps and the +2 levels of lighting.
I love this keyboard, i have only used it for about 2 hours in total but i love it!

@@IMastexI keyboard still going strong but I also bought the Hyperx Pudding Keycaps because the keys do feel a bit cheap tbh. With the new keycaps (that make the keyboard feel and look better), it’s a great buy. The typing sound is amazing.
The biggest thing I regret is not buying the version without the num pad. The upper number keys feel good enough to just use those (unless you have to you num pad) otherwise, my typing posture is a bit odd having my right hand typing closer to my left side of the body instead of shoulder with apart.
Software: I haven’t installed it scared that is might mess up my keyboard or something. The reviews are beyond terrible. But the 3 presets it has already are good enough for me until (if there is one) a fix is placed.

Hey can i get help i just built my computer and its not working everything is getting power but ther is no signal for the monitor and my keyboard and mouse arent lighting up also it wont beep when i turn it on

These are on sale right now for 109 at HyperX website, the keycaps are PBS but at the 109 price you could by the BPT for 25 bucks and pay like the same price with 2 sets of keys
I have a HyperX Alloy board with red switches. They are extremely loud. But this is my first mechanical keyboard so I love it.
I need a number pad for work. I don’t want multiple keyboards to mess with. That’s why I got a g915. Two separate computers to connect, work and games, and wireless with a number pad.
Just ordered one for around 100$. It will surely be better than my current Thermaltake tt e-sports keyboard.
