He had heart trouble for years even suffering a heart attack on stage. Many dont know but he was actually a genius and held college degrees but chose to bless us with his comedy. We will never have another like him.
A sign of the times....about 1984 live show ,audience member yells out...Gallagher for president . Gallagher: I can’t be president, I smoke dope, how do you think I get the ideas for this shit (pointing at his props on stage).RIP Leo.
That guy is so funny his humor is on par with Carlin...makes you think before you laugh...I watched this guy all through the 80's with friends I haven't seen for 30+ years....unfortunately so many people are lost in the political arena and to reunite with them could ruin all the good memories....I always thought the 60's/70's were the best of times but compared to the toxic society we live in today I would take the 80's in a heartbeat....R.I.P. Gallagher you smart funny S.O.B.....I never walk by a watermelon without thinking about you
Saw him live twice. Best. Show. Ever. He did over two hours without a break. Everything was funny. You left his shows absolutely worn out from laughing.
I'm an 80's baby and I grew up with this beautiful man making me laugh and jump starting my wit and sarcastic imagination . Thank you for making reality funny and easier to bare.
R.I.P. Thank you for the many years of laughter! Met him in Detroit 2 years ago. Friendly and funny. Stopped at our table for conversation and pictures. What a gem! You'll be missed!
OMG!!! I've never laughed so hard in my life as I did watching Gallagher. Tears streaming down my face and my ribs were sore the next day. I am truly saddened when we lose 2 comedic geniuses like Robin Williams and Gallagher. They filled my life with laughter and joy. May you both rest in laughter and know that you are truly missed and loved.

Does anyone ever remember Gallagher wearing suspenders during his shows?
RIP Gallagher. Passed away at 76 today.
One of the most underrated comedians in mankind's history. Everything was a show full of thoughts and then they turned into jokes.

The world lost a gem when he passed away, R.I.P. Gallagher!
Some people didn't care for him, but I always thought he was hilarious....

I think Gallagher was the first comedian whose special I'd ever watched to completion.
He sure knew how to put a smile on our faces and definitely one on Joan’s! RIP dear sir! Thanks for all the comic genius!!
