The way this cast has been promoting a domestic violence movie vs Justin Baldoni's more serious take shows why they aren't promoting the movie together. Blake, do better, this is such a horrible marketing angle on your end.
Look at their faces. They are all afraid of Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds because they are trying to erase and destroy Justin Baldoni. So now NO ONE who wants to avoid Blake & Ryan’s rage can talk about DV because Blake wants to pretend she’s in a Barbie movie. Insane. Justin Baldoni is the only one who is talking about DV in interviews & taking the issue seriously. Blake is shockingly narcissistic at the expense of her own & her husband’s reputations. Wow.
I have always been a fan of Blake Lively but this project made me reconsider. The press has been handled horribly and it seems like she's pitting the who cast against Justin Baldoni. Justin seems to be the only one who really wanted to make this movie and share the message.
Same. Used to love her but this whole press cycle just makes her look really bad. Hate the way she highlights her ~creativity~ in the film and not about spreading info about dv. Seems like she never mentioned dv in any of her interviews about the movie and that’s so weird. Does she think that mentioning dv would make people want to watch the movie less? For such a serious subject matter like DV, the press and promo roll out for this movie has been so ridiculous and unserious. Sad that Jenny Slate is caught up in this mess.
Justin Baldoni is Jewish & Italian. And he’s darker-skinned for a white person. And I have questions about how this influenced Blake Lively who loves southern plantations & leads an antebellum fantasy life & tried to have an antebellum product line. I’m black. And I’m saying it & I’m not sorry. Given her racial history, it’s a fair - double entendre intended - question. Also, this is one of the few times I have been thrilled that a movie had no black characters. Thanks for leaving us out of this crazy mess.
