You really need to check out the comments and how infuriated everyone is that you completely snubbed Torvill and Dean! They set the standard for ice dancing for the last few decades with their performance of Bolero!

How could you forget Torvill and Dean?! Not only a perfect score score in 84 but audience favorites again in 94. Bolero is a masterpiece that speaks perfection everytime it is performed. It was one of my earliest Olympic memories ( probably the same for many on this list).
How could you leave out Torvill and Dean? They changed figure skating forever. First couple to ever get perfect scores across the board.

Hello? Torvill and Dean's Bolero is synonymous with mesmerizing perfection. How in holy hell did they not make this list?
Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue's performance of Moulin Rouge and basically all of their performances will always remain at the top of my list not only because of their quality and technique as skaters but also because of the incredible chemistry and connection they have that I will never see in any other couple.
Virtue and Moir's gold winner at 2018 winter Olympics was awesome. But seriously Ms Mojo where is Bolero? Torvill and Dean's 1988 routine was a game changer.

Shocked that Bloero with Torvill and Dean DIDNT make it, that routine got perfect scores at the 84 Olympics!!!!!!!
It didn’t get perfect scores. It got 9 6.0 for artistry and 6 6.0 for execution (3 5.9 scores).

Notable omissions: Torville & Dean’s Bolero…. Hello? Also Sale and Pelltier’s Love Story routine at SLC 2002. Two biggies IMHO. I can’t argue with Scott and Tessa. They probably had 2 or 3 routines that deserved to be on the list.

Gordeeva and Grinkov should be in the number 1 spot. When they skated it was so easy to forget that it was a competition. It was like watching a beautiful moment in their lives and they weren't even aware they had an audience. It was so beautiful.

I agree Katia & Sergei should be no. 1 but i can see why Virtue & Moir where selected 1st: they went viral during the Olympics and they aren't a couple (unlike G&G). Reflecting that kind of chemistry on and off the ice it's such a hard thing to do without involving romantic feelings and they did a marvelous job fooling everyone haha. Both are just magnificent in their own ways

MsMojo How did you not inclue Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean?????? They were the definition of great Skaters and Bolero is an iconic skating song plus the fact there icons in the UK and in the world

I do prefer Virtue and Moir’s Mahler FD 2010 to Moulin Rogue in 2018 but that performance was their magnum opus.
Also, they should separate the list between pairs and ice dancing or make it a Top 20. Btw where’s Torvill and Dean’s Bolero?

Bolero performed by Torvil and Dean was marvelous. I saw them skate when they came to Kamloops BC Canada and was very impressed. However, time moves on, new and more difficult elements and routines are put together. I don't think you can compare routines from different eras. That being said Torvil and Dean, IMO, should have been included as the artist elements were so unique and flawlessly executed. Of course, being a Canadian anytime a Canadian 🇨🇦athlete is recognized thrills me to bits!!!!
I do agree with most of your pics and I definitely agree with the number one pic however I feel like Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron should’ve been on there somewhere or should’ve at least gotten an honorable mention
Papadakis and Cizeron, my all time favorites. Their accolades will be coming sooner or later. They can't be denied.

The complete lack of 'Bolero' - which should have the top spot by a mile - utterly invalidates everything about this list. Absolutely ludicrous. Torvill and Dean invented on-ice magic before Virtue and Moir were even *born.*
Scott's and Tessa's Molin Rouge is a video you have to watch every day
I will echo that the fact you left out Torvill and Dean’s Bolero at the 84 Olympics is a disgrace. It’s never been equalled for perfect marks.
Also Sale and Pelletier’s Love Story at the 2002 Olympics was perfection.
I would have placed them 1st and 3rd respectively with Virtue and Moir 2nd but maybe the Mahler routine from 2010. When you can hear a pin drop in the area, you know something special is going on.
I think you can do better MsMojo. Where are Klimova and Ponomorenko (1992 olympic champions) and of course where are Torville and Dean..if there is one couple that changed the icedancing completely its them.
Ahh, K&P were simply poetry on ice. Their gold medal performance was incredibly stunning.
My absolutes favorites Scott and Tessa! That Moulin Rouge routine is a rollercoaster of emotions.

Vanessa And Morgan you deserve to be in the top 10 they did their jobs you can’t erase history they were great at what they did. They deserve it. Many fans watch them every day on UA-cam .
This is what I kept thinking this entire list. Why not do two separate lists? They could have found other pairs that are loved.
I was going to watch your video but just read in the comment you did not include torvill and dean in the list , number 1 do any of these skaters in list have successful tv show , number 2 did they have a movie made about them , probably not so to shun torvill and dean like that is disgusting so a dislike from me you should be ashamed

When I saw this pop up, and once I realized they were talking about ice dancing and not pairs, I said "Bolero has to be #1". Surprise! Not even a mention. That's a big miss

They said in the intro they included both ice dancing and pairs. Blew it without including Torvill and Dean
Canada’s ice dance team Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz had a mesmerizing exhibition routine set to Dan Hill’s “Sometimes When We Touch” and for the 1998 Olympics in Nagano they did their free dance to “Riverdance” which was a fan favourite.
The Riverdance performance was incredible!
I was a huge fan of Bourne and Kraatz. They almost won Bronze at their last Olympics. Then in their jubilation at how they did at that particular Olympics, they fell right at the end. They tried to cover it up, but it was obvious. They lost the medal. I was so disappointed. Victor was a far better skater than the Italian Maritzio Margalio. I sent Victor a card one time telling him how much I loved their skating. The card had a picture I took. He wrote a letter back to me. Liked my picture and told me a personal humorous story. That was so sweet of him.
Absolutely. They were instrumental in changing ice dancing too for their athleticism for which they were always harshly marked
As far as entertaining routines go where are TORVILL AND DEAN Bolero & as an honourable mention John & Sinead Kerr's Scottish dance! 🤬

That’s the most incompetent list I have seen in a while. I expected Aljona and Bruno at two. But how in the world can someone missed the „Bolero“ performance by Torvill and Deans at the Calgary Olympics 1984, that has changed and modernised figure skating during that time.? That list is pretty embarrassing for you guys!
Next to Virtue and Moir, Chock and Bates performing their "snake dance" ( with over 3 million YT views as of today) has got to be my personal all-time favorite, Mesmerizing ,innovative, beautifully synchronized, with a real emotional connection that is reflected in all their performances. Wake up, Ice Dancing judges, dancing is creative , change is needed. Moir and Virtue, Chock and Bates are exciting to watch because their dances are new and exciting.
While Virtue-Moir's Moulin Rouge Olympic performance is one for the books, their 2010 Olympic gold Mahler performance and the 2012-2013 Carmen routine should have been included in this list too. :-)
Also the Spanish Flamenco routine they did in the Olympics 2010? Was one of the best they ever did!

As a skating fan from way back, I was so glad to see Gordeeva and Grinkov so well represented. Having seen them live I can attest to the fact that they were magic on the ice together. Great to see Barb & Paul and Isabelle & Lloyd too... even if you did drop the ball on Torvill & Dean.
How are Torvill and Dean’s free dance to Bolero isn’t on here??? It’s iconic for a reason!
Personally, I preferred Davis and White’s free dance to Phantom of the Opera (2010) or Scheherazade (2014), and Volosozhar and Trankov’s Bollywood short program and their Dracula free skate at the 2016 European Figure Skating Championship is brilliant!

Missed seeing T/D on the list but was SO happy to see Underhill and Martini represented. Their “When a Man Loves a Woman” performance is not to be missed.
You should have included Bolero from j. Torvill/c. Dean, at least as honorable mentions...they inspired so many Generation after them...
I never understood the technicality but it was the only sport my mom liked to watch. I just found it beautiful and so precise it's almost like a dream.

I hadn't seen some of those couples in a long time. Some of them I was not familiar with. This was so inspiring and awesome to watch. I miss Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat of France in particular. Their passion and uniqueness is unmatched. I loved when Marina lifted Gwendal. Their Romeo and Juliette Dance of the 1998 Olympics is something I'll never forget. l so miss seeing Zhen and Zhao of China. I was such a big fan. They were exquisite!

It's a new one, but this year's programme from Papadakis & Cizeron mesmerises me Day and Night
Torvill & Dean's Bolero and the Duchenay's Savage Rites (coincidentally choreographed by Christopher Dean) should have been on this list. The Duchenays were ahead of their time. The judges had no clue how to score this routine.
Yes, yes, yes! I've been reading all the comments because I was sure I couldn't be the only one who thought the Duchenay's "Savage Rites" routine was special. I remember seeing it at the time it was first shown on TV, and you could tell the audience was astounded. Unfortunately, not all the judges like it. Some thought it too unconventional and scored it low. Others said Paul had held Isabella by the boot - which is against the rules.
Completely ridiculous that Torvill and Dean's Bolero isn't on this list.

I think you really missed the boat. Torvill and Dean. Bolero. 1984 Olympics. Highly anticipated. Amazing performance. They set a standard. Go online and watch it. We all were waiting to see it when word was out they were performing to Bolero. Nothing else was like it.
OMG where is the Mishkutenok & Dmitriev doing Liebestraum in Albertville 1992??? For me that is one of the most espectacular rutines of all time.
Absolutely; however, their 1991 WC performance (same program) was even better.
