Good way to differ a lifter tick from an exhaust leak is if the noise smooths out after a couple minutes of being running then is an exhaust leak. Back manifold studs always break on this engines.
thats not the "hemi tick" the famouse hemi tick is internal with the cams and lifters i believe. So im just saying if people start hearing the tick dont automatically assume its the exhaust. do some investigating before hand.
No, there are multiple famous ticks on the hemi's... one of them you mentioned but only affects motors up to 2010. The rest are exhaust manifolds that warp (most common issue) and other forms of the tick is using incorrect oil filter that does not provide enough throughput thus leading to tick.
I’m thinking about installing hooker headders on my 21 Gr. Cherokee 5.7L summit. My question, was it worth it? Horsepower gains that is? I currently do not have the Hemi exhaust leak tic, so I would do it just to gain HP. My last vehicle was a TRX so I’m missing the power a bit. I like my Gr. Cherokee just want a bit more umph! Thanks JC
You can just build up some weld on the end of the bolt….then use pliers or a clamp whatever you have and unscrew the bolt while gripping the weld tip you added. It’s easy fix but need to have the welding equipment.
I think I have the same manifold bolt problem but the dealer says the manifolds look good and also would like to do headers! Where are u located? I’d like to bring the Jeep in
Good to know. You have another recommendation? Need to replace mine soon, along with oil pan gasket and radiator. Going to try and do it all in one shot. @@Laytoncustoms
@@Laytoncustoms kinda what I figured. Great repair device, but I really wish there was more info on long tubes online. So far I've only found 1 video from a kid who did it a few years ago.
I have a 2015 Jeep GC limited 5.7 and I just ordered a Corsa extreme catback and American racing longtube headers. Do you think that alone will be loud? Or should I stage 2 cam as well?
Dude you should go to jail for saying you gain 20-30 hp with aftermarket coilpacks that is ridiculous consdering they are the same coil packs that come on SRT's and track hawks

I wish you would have shown how you backed all the header bolts out.
I used an easy out kit
Sounds good

youre right bro

Hey bro could i install the 6.4 headers on my jeep grand cherokee 5.7 ? Thanks

If your looking for performance gains I would go with the kooks long tube headers
Did you happen to record getting the broken bolts out? I have the same issue and am scared to attempt it myself...
I didn’t but I used a easyout kit and they came right out

more jeep vids pls
Excellent hello video, congratulations !! did you have any problem with the new coils? did you notice any difference?
I didn't have any problems with the new coils but there wasn't a noticeable change with them either
How much "Ball-Park" for this with installation?
Don’t even get to hear it come on man
He mentioned in another comment that he didn't notice much difference in the sound.
I'm having the same issue right now
You have the link to these headers . I would like to add headers to my 5.7 jeep
I don't have the exact link but I got them from www.4horsemenracing.com
I think I have the same manifold bolt problem but the dealer says the manifolds look good and also would like to do headers! Where are u located? I’d like to bring the Jeep in
We’re in Draper, Utah our shop is 4 Horsemen Racing
Such a shame you didnt film any of the actual process ... How much were the headers by the way ?
The hooker headers were only like $500 but I don't recommend them because they cracked on me after only a month

I ended up going with stainless works long tube headers and high flow cats@@SwampazzFishing
Any transmission upgrades to handle to supercharger power?
The transmission is tuned to shift faster but that's it
sounds great and what’s this color called?
It's matte slate blue metallic from 3M
being a log manifold, just slightly bigger, is there really any sound difference?
I didn’t notice much of a difference

Any increase in power? Any problems? Do you think they are worth it?
I didn't notice any difference in power, I might switch them out for a set of long tube headers

That’s definitely going to sound good the only difference the cam will make is it’ll give you more of a chop at idle
oh alright so i dont really need the cam added then.@@Laytoncustoms
@@Giventhechance what’s your ig? I wanna follow the build
How long did replacing the headers take, both sides
It was about 6 hours
@@Laytoncustoms wow, what a difference, the dealership is quoting me 12 hours for both sides.
@@toniakeating1503 That is a big difference, the longest I could see it taking is 8

Showed none of the work....what's the point of the video.
To call those headers is a joke. 😂
