So this one only has wireless CarPlay? No Android Auto?
@@CumBrianFries It does have Android auto. I have a timestamp for AA. Thank you.
Thanks Shiva! Any tempered glass screen protector you can recommend for this display?
@@CumBrianFriesI would look for any 9" screen protector. I believe there are some tablets that come in that size. But probably get a soft protector so you can cut it if needed. Thanks.
@@ShivaSapkota Thanks again, man!
Instead of releasing a new instrument cluster every month, hanshaw should actually support the instrument clusters already released. OTA updates are still not working on my cluster, even though it is supposed to be supported. if you are going to continually review and recommend their products ( and obtain a commission) you should at least hold them to account regarding their lack of software support.....
I hear you and if you watch the "review" section of my video, I share the same frustration about their lack of support for older devices. I am pressuring Hansshow and hope they listen. Thank you.
Many thanks. Keep up the good work on your channel!@@ShivaSapkota
Then don’t review their product.
They don't support anything.. they buy and resell marked up aliexpress Chinese junk..
TMA will open OTA around mid month
I am glad to see them add the air vent. Great video as always Shiva. I am sure it takes a lot to make these extremely detailed guides but Tesla community is thankful for your hard work. I also like that you are not afraid to point out negatives and call out these vendors. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. I try my best to provide as much details and show everything including the negatives. It does take a lot of resources to produce these videos but seeing the support from viewers like yourself makes it all worth the effort.
The OTA update actually works. I was able to do an update recently. When you select "Update" in the settings menu, you'll get a screen indicating to what you need to change your router SSID or Hotspot name and password. Once you do this, restart the screen and it will connect. Then you can download and install the latest update.
Amazingly comprehensive demo and review. thank you.
Absolutely love all of your videos, keep up the amazing work. Everything is shown and explained so concisely, just perfect!
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Thanks so much for this video. This was the best one I found in terms of helping with the install.
Thanks, I was stuck until I watched your video. It helped a lot.
Great video, I like that you go over all the displays.
You did a great job! 👍 I really appreciate you taking your time to put this together!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.
Good video bro, keep up the good work. Appreciate you taking time to explain this in detail :)
Thank you for the incredible video, your videos are the most helpful out there.😀
I really like your screen video, that make a huge difference for me and my neighbors. Keep up the amazing videos.
Thanks for this video. It is an important upgrade!
Thank you for the detailed video. I had out the camera aside. But after your video it took literally 20 mins to install
I like your explanation and how you actually do the installation in detail, even down to the unplugging of the plugs/clips. Those details help, which is impressive. Other videos skip those simple tasks which is so sad. So this makes it easier for a newbie like myself to be confident enough to unclip and do the installs with the wiring elc. I actually just bought this unit using your code. Yeah, good point on the UI design. Maybe if the manufacturers offer the ability to let owners redesign or theme the UI or customize ourselves then upload with sd card or usb, that might be helpful too. Great work on the videos and keep it up.
Well done! This really helped me make a decision.
Love the videos !! Thank you so much for all the work.
Thank you very much for your support.
As always thanks for another honest review. This display is very close to what I'm looking for. I really don't care about Android auto or Apple carplay, but I agree 100% with you that a tweak to the UI is needed. Finally a decent sized display that addresses airflow. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for your feedback and continued support to my channel.
Great video. Thanks for your efforts putting it up. I guess I agree about the updating of older models (I have one of those). I hear you with the continuous introduction of new clusters too. But I also appreciate that they keep making new iterations that get better each time (largely) and that I can just be patient until I feel it's worth the upgrade. I remember getting OEM parts to upgrade my (german made) car audio that were incredibly overpriced, flawed and never improved, ever. These instrument clusters are much better value in that respect. Keep up the great work Shiva!
Thank you so much my friend. I really appreciate your feedback.
Solid video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for the thorough review!
Great job… will be using this to do my install
great video tour, well done!
Appreciate the review. Will be using your code to buy this. Good job my man.
Excellent review as usual. Thanks!
Wonderful video, as always! 😊
I enjoy your video's, you take your time and explain in detail what nneds to be done. You also give honest reviews
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Awesome video dude! Incredible 😊
Great job!
Very detailed video, great
Thanks for a great review!!
I don't have a Tesla..... Probably never,,,, but you are THE BEST INSTALLING AND testing Tesla gadgets !!! You seek more Tesla Cars because your installation
Thank you so much!
Thank you 4 yours videos 👍🏻🤝
I love your videos. So good. Perfect everything!
Thank you very much for your support.
Really good video, thanks
Great to see your ingenuity once again showing with display and with out when did you change your car it looks good have a great holiday
Thank you Mal. I really appreciate it. Hope you are doing well and happy holidays my friend.
Awesome video!
Great video!
Honestly, this is the best one yet!
Agreed, this is the best version out there so far. Thank you.
Great review. Well done 👏🏻
You did a great job! 😊 👍
Awesome! I’m really tempted to buy it
Omg, the Intel installation is ridiculously hard, still trying to figure it out. But Shiva, your video is the most complete. Love all your videos.
@fwangfj1 yes - it is extremely difficult for Intel version (tedious indeed !!). I was eventually able to reach and remove the connector using two long flat head screwdrivers, one to keep the locking tang pressed in the release position, the other to simultaneously pry up the edge of the male connector from the female housing. Reconnecting with the new harness end was easy by comparison.
I like your videos. Varry detailed video Varry helpful. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you so much for your support.
Great stuff
Nice review will definitely give it a try
52:30 Thank you for all the work you’ve done to make the installation easy to understand. My Tesla y 2023 is one month old and I’m eager to make it mine. Really want a front camera and a new rearview mirror with the back camera. 73yo woman from Oregon
Thank you very much for your kind words. It takes a lot of efforts and resources to produce these videos but hearing from viewers like yourself that my videos are helpful make it all worth the efforts. Thank you again. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Brilliant videos! Keep it up!
Wonderful job!
Thank you so much!
Great work!! Im OCD, so I did see that there is a small angle when the display lines up with the dash. I really love the blindspot monitoring.
???
Gracias, Shiva, muy interesante, buen trabajo. me gusto,
Muchas Gracias!
Great job
Great review
Really like your extensive review will done . Thanks
Thank you very much for the support.
Dherai dherai dhanyad for all of your informative videso :)
Dherai dhanyabad hajurlai video heridinu vaekoma :)
Great video as always Shiva, this is probably the first display I really want, it seems to have covered everything, I agree totally about the UI though, its so easy just to use the correct fonts etc, it seems lazy that they just don't do that. Apart from improving the UI the only other suggestion I have is the colour of the silver housing that sits on the dash, if it was the darker grey to match the silver/grey dash it would look less like an add on and look more standard (or is it the same colour, it is hard to tell in the video?)
Very nice video, especially with the camera installation. I've had my MYLR for just 6 weeks and want to add a screen but didn't because of the air vents as well the non standard software\UI. I do like the airflow on this one, but I think my OCD would cause me to get annoyed with it not being lined up straight on the dash. Also, I noticed in your video that English is NOT the main language on the screen and at times will flash back to Mandarin (or whatever else it was). I wish there was a way to test and play around with it more before spending that kind of money, even if it required more reviews and videos! Keep them up, i'll be on the lookout for more of your videos!
Love the video! Very interesting!
Thank you very much!
This is such an awesome screen; I sold my model 3 and now in an MX refresh. If I get another 3 or Y I’m definitely adding this screen
Thank you very much for your feedback. I bet the MX refresh is awesome!
Great video
Your video was very helpful in my decision to buy this cluster for my model 3. Also a great news is that I could update it via OTA which is an awesome feature.
Great video 😊
Thank you :)
It's great that they took my suggestion on connecting the bluetooth directly to Tesla instead of a passthrough through the screen on the previous from TMA you reviewed and implemented with this one.. It remove any sort of delays with the audio and the delays/echos with the phone calls. Too bad they didn't get rid of the brakes warning light on there when the brake lights are on since it shouldn't be on at all unless there's an issue.
Great video as always and i might actually pull the trigger on a hansshow display finally…the front camera is great but i wish there was an easier way to install this
Nice video thank you
Thank you very much!
Good job
Great video, thanks for the amount of work you have put into this. I've bought this screen on the basis of your review, so thank you. The only thing you did not show was what Carplay in split-screen mode looked like, otherwise great work!
UPDATE - Having installed this screen, there is only one thing missing from this review - if you have the regular steering wheel, not a yoke, it can be an issue for the wheel to obstruct some of the screen, depending on your seating position. Worth mentioning, and something one of the slightly smaller screens (or one that mounts on the steering column) would eliminate.
Very nice. I like it..!!
THANKS! This looks like something that Tesla should have included but, absent that, I think I will give this a try when they change the UI.
You are so symphatic
Perfect !!!!
Great video bro! I think this will probably be the next change in my MYLR 😁 Do we have any update on Hansshow releasing updates for this?
Amazing video and detailed process! I'm am android user and this is the first video I saw the brief demo. It seemed liked it was lagging a bit. Have you done longer test?
Great video! It will be nice if the front camera can automatically turn on at low speed or at least be able to configure like that.
good info.
Thank you!
Thanks for great review Shiva like you always do! I have one question, is there a way to record the front camera view like typical dashcams? Like example put USB drive in that port and record video during the drive?
Once again, a great video, Shiva! Here's a question you probably answered in one of your previous videos: Does installing this (or any other HUD unit) void the Tesla warranty? In other words, when you take your car in for service, do you have to uninstall the unit? Thanks!
Amazingly thorough video man, thank you. The one question I still have (that I haven’t seen anyone answer) is do we lose any functionality from the right scroll wheel? I.e. follow distance or FSD style?
This is my first time watching one of your videos and enjoyed it more than another video I saw on the same product. I like the details that you go into, including the old vs. the new model cars.
I’m not really looking for a center console, but a way to do car play. The center console displays seem to fill that need.
I’m a little confused by the Bluetooth integration. Is there a way you can demo that?
Based on the comments about support and updates from Hanshow, makes me reluctant to purchase one of their products.
My only other comment was to add an additional light to use in those dark places.
Danke!
Thank you very much! I greatly appreciate your support 🙏
Thanks. I watched a lot of video's of different producers, but i had the most profit by your videos. Excellent cam quality, very good explanation. It helped me to make a decision of which instrument cluster to buy. I choose the 9 inch with air vents from hansshow. The hard thing wil be how to route the cam cable through the firewall as I havent yet looked under the hood😬
Thank you so much for your support. It really means a lot to me. With a fishing cable and some patience, it shouldn't be too bad. The visibility gets harder in the firewall space, so I would get a flash light. Please reach out if I can answer any questions or help in any ways.
@@ShivaSapkota Hi, i haven't started yet as i have not yet all i ordered at home. A question related to the cam cable routing. I believe I saw on your video very briefly (at 17:05) that you took off the trim below the glove cabinet. Is that necessary to get the fishing cable through till that point?
Great review and installation instruction video. It would seem the screen is tilted towards the passenger side, am I right?
Great video @ShivaSapkota and thank you for continuing to make these videos while providing feedback to Hansshow. So, which one is your favorite so far? Based on your videos, F68 seems like the best so far (UI, size, finish). Does the F68 support USB updates?
Thank you so much. Yes, my top choices are F68 and this display. F68 has USB-C port for upgrades.
Great work filming the install. Would you recommend this over the smallerH6 6.8 screen? Ive the smaller screen still in box. i would be returning it if you reccomended the 9inch
If you are able to get free/minimal fee returns, I would recommend this one over the H6. However, if you have to spend significant amount of money for the return, I would keep the H6 as it does basically the same thing but is smaller in size and not as good of graphics quality as this one. Thanks.
As usual, an excellent review. I have an older version of their 9 inch screen with front camera. Do you know if the old wiring works with the new screen? It would be nice if I didn’t have to rerun cables and struggle with the computer connection.
Mismatch, requires rewiring
Hi shiva, many congratulations for your video very usefull and complete👍Both for the kit installation procedure in the car (the reason why I have watched the video) that the presentation of the users interfaces of the screen...
I know that this model is not designed for Tesla model 3 Highland. Unlike the F62, that I'm thinking of buying, I'll see if the screen size suits me (6.2")...
With the bests regards from a french guy😉 Thierry
thanks for thedetsiled instructions. Getting the dashboard back was the most difficult task. It seems like the unit is too deep. I loosened the screws to try to get a bit more space but it was still a real struggle. Is there any detail available for the android based unit. I bought this as I hoped it would be more usable but maybe I should have ordered the basic unit. I can't see how to change the themes on this one?
like your demo think you also need to do one for a reverse park aid i had already a collision driving backwards the sound alarm is very bad of the teslas thx
Great video as usual. I purchased this product following this video. I installed the F9 on my 2023 M3LR.
I installed it 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly until 8 days ago when something strange happened to the device:
every time I get out of the car, the settings I set reset themselves, and when I get in the car I have to configure them again every time, which until now was useless (I'm talking here about color, time, theme , brightness, front camera is off).
So I have a question: what should I do to stop having this inconvenience? I should point out that I played with the settings all day and they wouldn't save at all. I also tried hotspot-update-download but nothing happened.
I understood that these things are solved with an update.
I have tried to contact your Hansshow seller by sending several emails but have not received any response.
Thank you very much.
that is a good screen
Thank you!
The AC was my biggest concern with all the previous big screens, this really seems to solve it
This is near perfect! Just the UI needs a massive upgrade
Thank you and agreed!
Great videos. Seems Hansshow is listening. Hansshow should make software enhancements available to other devices via OTA.
Also, can you show how to get audio through the Tesla speakers?
This is my 3rd Hansshow display. I hope to keep the F9 for sometime.
Thank you very much. This natively doesn't play through Tesla's speakers but you can keep your phone connected to Tesla's Bluetooth so all the audio will come out directly from your phone to Tesla but the visuals (e.g. Carplay) goes to this screen. However, someone told me earlier that Android auto doesn't support different audio output but I tested with Carplay and it worked. So, if you have an Android phone you may just have to use the built-in speaker unfortunately.
Another great video! Thanks for this. The website states this is only for LHD. I am in the UK, will this fit RHD or just LHD. Also does it need a connection with the centre console wireless hub for powering up the device?
Thank you. I just saw that note in the website. I am getting some clarity from Hansshow and will report back. I am not too familiar with the RHD vehicles but I believe you can get the power from the side door pillar (like the one I show on the video but on the other side for you).
Love your thorough test of these displays.
Could you possibly test the view from different height perspective. I would love to have a display but I fear that the steering wheel would block most of the display. Btw. I'm 6.3 feet tall.
Nice
Great job as always. I have the latest screen 6.86 inch version without camera. I funded multiple bugs. First bug Is the Autopilot nag is In German my Tesla is in Danish language and screen language is English and German language is not and option in the screen menu. Bug 2 when you use voice commands the screen goes white and to get working again is to stop the car and put it in park and drive before the screen works again. 3 bug is increased speed in Autopilot when you scroll the wheel it scroll in the menu on the screen 😂 hopefully you can bring this up with Hansshow so the fixed them best Kristian
Thanks for the feedback and reporting those bugs. I will pass them along to Hansshow for their analysis.
@@ShivaSapkota thank you
Nice video. I have the H6 display. Can you ask Hansshow to fix the circular speedo in Theme 1 and 3? It shows the top speed as 260 MPH. Also, can you ask if they can create a better Power/Regen gauge; perhaps integrate it into the speedo or HP gauges? As always, go THRU the grommet not around it. It's there for a reason. Keep up the good work informing us of the latest accessories for Teslas.
Thank you for your feedback and I knew you would notice the grommet lol :) I will pass your feedback along to Hansshow.
I wanted to add my perspective to this equipment as well because I purchased this screen based off this and a few other videos. This screen is probably my biggest "buyers remorse" purchase of the year. I was looking to add Android Auto back to my car since the Tesla infotainment system is severely lacking in a bunch of areas. Based off this video this hit all the marks so I bought it. Let me start off by saying Android Auto is unusable to me on this screen. Using the steering wheel controls to navigate is broken AT BEST. Scrolling with the thumb track on the wheel jumps the cursor all over the place and is unpredictable. You pretty much HAVE TO use it as a touch screen and I don't know about you but I really dont want to be reaching over my steering wheel while driving to touch another screen. Second the airflow is OK its not great, I like to ride with my wheel high and the vents are so low that you have to lower your wheel pretty much to its lowest setting. Installation was fine not hard at all although I skipped the front camera and just went with the screen wiring. Remember this is MY experience and my family are all Android users so we never tried CarPlay so your milage may vary. I just wanted to put in my two cents and hopefully prevent someone from making the same mistake purchase that I did.
