@ShivaSapkota Appreciate the review. I like the idea of the product but my biggest beef with this product is the button arrangement is a little wack since all the main driver controls should be in the first 7 buttons. Agree with you that there should be an app to be able to update the order of the functionality. The original button arrangement is as follows 1. Passenger Door control 2. AC manual intensity control (1 fan speed up/down adjustment at a time) 3. Rear Air conditioning control 4. AC Blowing mode control (AC on/off) 5. Front defog control 6.Passenger Seat forward/backward adjustment 7.Passenger Seat Up/down adjustment 8. Trunk/Frunk control 9. Audio track control (closer for passenger) 10. Glove box/Mirror control 11. Auto/Manual Wiper control 12. Charging port/unlock doors control this would be my preferred button arrangement from left to right (that I wish was customizable with the USB-c port on the back) 1. AC Blowing mode control (AC on/off) 2. AC manual intensity control (1 fan speed up/down adjustment at a time) 3. Auto/Manual Wiper control 4. Front defog control 5. Trunk/Frunk control 6. Charging port/unlock doors control 7. Glove box/Mirror control 8. Rear Air conditioning control 9. Passenger Door control 10. Audio track control (closer for passenger) 11.Passenger Seat forward/backward adjustment 12. Passenger Seat Up/down adjustment
Wonderful product. Too bad Tesla can’t do something similar. I use my car for Lyft/Uber so this is a game-changer; especially for opening the doors and moving the passenger seat forward. Mounting is perfect as it provides a sturdier solution to an adhesive-only option. It also keeps the panel up and out of the way from the center console. I hope the company will implement your programability suggestion. Apparently, any function can be accessed from the OBD port. ALSO! Why can’t the driver’s side rear door be opened?
Thank you very much! Yes, I can see this being extremely useful for Uber/Lyft. I have asked them if they can program the driver side rear door. There is another smaller product that does the driver side rear door, so I know they can do it.
Nice product that needs to be customizable by the client. It will be great to a Regenerate boron or a heated/cool seats or any other ideas people can have. Great idea and always we love to see you install the products.
Lovely video. Just find it interesting that one who buys the Tesla would like to go through all this to achieve the function. Others have said this, it will not be a Tesla. I personally consider accessories as floor mats and the like. However, I give it to those who feel it necessary to undertake the mods
Damn, i was looking forward to this product, but the options theyve given you are limited and strange, fan control but nontwmp control? Needs to be customiseable so i can decide what options, like regen control
Nice review as always! These switches are clearly a step in the right direction. Tactile differentiation (4 separated groups of 3 switches each for example) in addition to programmability would help keep eyes on the road. Perhaps also soft led illumination (color programmable) when the cabin is dark to help the driver‘s peripheral vision / quick glance recognize switch states. If automotive GUI engineers were aircraft pilots the product functionality would necessarily improve dramatically. Brains and eyes must primarily be focused outside the cabin.
I installed this last weekend, it looks good, with all the cables hidden it looks OEM, and actually provides decent functionality, the downside is its harder to install then it looks, there are 2 USB C ports at the back of it btw, no one seems to mention this, I assume its for charging other devices
Programming to one’s own taste would have been a plus, example my wife’s biggest complaint is the fact that the wipers have a mind of their own in the Model Y so it would be very handy programming the very first button for the wipers instead of the button they have set up.
the passenger door as the first button is absolutely useless. There is no reason that a button you rarely use in the grand scheme of things should be in the first position. It should be only AC control, wiper, defog, charge port, etc that should be on the driver side. Its almost like they were barfing out features but then didn't think logically of what would be important to the driver and passenger side.
This is a very useful product! I can't wait until the second version where 1) hopefully it takes up the full length of the screen including color matched, 2) more buttons (headlight control), and 3) a simplified installation.
If something is breaking the deal for you to get a Tesla, just buy the addon you like most! It's amazing how well everything integrates. Software as well as hardware.
Happy Holidays!! I will test this on my Model 3 as I have a swivel installed and will make a post. Please allow me some time to check this out. Thanks!
Hi Shiva, another great video. If you find out the correct length of the screws that hold the temperature sensor, please let us know. Overall, the product is a great first try. I would suggest working more on the design of the buttons, making them more minimalistic or even considering a digital/touch screen. Personally, I find the bar itself a bit bulky.
Nice product, very clear explanation on your part. Thanks. I have been considering this option for some time but I already have an OBD connected heads up display on my 2021 Tesla M3, and I am told that the OBD cannot handle more than one device at a time.
I would suggest having the option to mount it on the top of the screen. A little easier to see when driving. Also, I have one o the 3rd party shelves mounted under the screen.
*Two additional features.* *1 -* Although pressing the third button down does turn the rear heating/cooling on and off, pushing the third button up turns the front face level vents on and off and is indicated by the middle LED on the next (fourth) button. *2 -* There are two USB-C sockets on the back of the switch unit.
I hope so as there are a few small bugs that need fixing. I had assumed that the USB-C ports were just charging ports. It's a shame that there is no manufacturer's website as most of the resellers get some features wrong and no-one mentions the USB-C ports. The RHD hack is also very hard to find. Brilliant device though.
I have a question. I have a 7.5 inch rear display that has a cable already connected to the front passenger seat. Is there some type of jumper cable that I can use to have the functionality from the rear display and the buttons. If so please point me in the right direction to obtain one. Thanks.
Nice product but I’m already using the old port to run scanmyTesla. I wish there was another obd connection somewhere else or perhaps someone can make a multi obd port adapter.
I like the control bar better because it has knobs and the Sexy Knob because it is a knob and would be easy to use without looking at it. I have a similar knob on my car for controlling drive modes and it works well. But I like these switches too.
the new tesla buttons caused the frunk button not to work. Also any idea how do we change the seat adjustment buttons to move the left passenger seats instead of the right?
Does this override manual wiper option when driving on autopilot? Automatic wipers really does not work well when roads are salted as it smears the salt over the window
I rather pay a bit more and go with the SEXY buttons. I like the minimalist look of Tesla and these just don't look streamlined. Also, realistically, you'll never use some of these buttons but with the SEXY buttons you can program them to do whatever you want. They have an awesome app which gives you so many more options for the buttons too.
Yes; the SEXY button option is really cool. They also made one recently that has a dial with different options. I will be reviewing that unit in the future. Thank you
You can daisy chain multiple cables together. You can fit 2 mods and still close the bottom panel. After 2, you can't put that bracket anymore. Thanks.
The only part that is useful is the moving passenger seat and maybe door control when you have passengers that don’t know how to find the one, out of two, button(s) used to open the door. The rest are already at your hands or voice control and require less work to get to. Good idea if you could customize all of them.
With the new highland and tesla’s, generally lazy design choices to “cut costs”, these kind of aftermarket products will become a lot more prevalent. Thanks for your video!
@ShivaSapkota Do you still have this button bar installed in either your Model Y or Model 3? I was just bought this button bar and was doing some partial installation to test the button bar before doing the full installation and I noticed with the latest software update 2024.14.6. Issues found in SW version 2024.14.6 1. For the frunk/trunk button, only the trunk feature (push down) works. The frunk feature (push up) doesn't work. I noticed it worked in the video for opening the frunk but for me it doesn't work at all. I even tried it with 2 separate button bar units as a test and both units perform the same way with no frunk functionality. 2. For the rear air con control button, I noticed when I press it, it doesn't follow the Tesla screen for On/Off. In order for me to be able to control the rear air con, I have to press the Rear air con Fan button on the screen set to On (blue) and leave it set to On, but then use the button bar to push down to turn On/off the Rear air con function. Its a workaround that works but unfortunately doesn't follow the Tesla screen for On/Off status. 3. For the wiper button, like in #2 when I try the manual wiper function it doesn't work if your wipers are set to "Off". However in order for me to able to utilize the manual wiper function, I have to set my Tesla wiper mode to "Auto" on the screen and then press down on the Wiper button to swap through wiper speeds 1-4. Like #2 it is a workaround to get the intended function of the button. I was just curious if you were able to observe #1, #2 and #3 with the latest software issues. Also are the 2 USB-C ports in the back used for any firmware updates or are they intended to be USB-C charge ports?
Once again shiva you nailed the installation, programme buttons are the way to go, when did they make back door latch open like the front or is just for model y. Your right about buttons, somewhere else also would be good will it fit if you got tilt bracket for the screen Have a happy new year and wish even more success Mal
Great video and thorough overview of the install process for this product! If the manufacturer is reading this may I suggest you swap the silver out for the dark grey/black matching the back of the touchscreen so it looks more uniform? Or potentially offering black or white options to match our interiors? Besides that, great accessory for those who'd like some physical touch controls in their Teslas.
You can daisy chain multiple plugs. However, after 2 plugs, you won't be able to put the rear cover on. I hope some company makes a modified cover soon. Thank you.
Is there a version for RH drive vehicles?, as the doir ipening feature needs to operate the opposite side doors. Itsxa shsme that there is no memory settings for the passenger seat, a very useful feature when there are two regular drivers, easily achieved by software update by Teska surely?
There is a RHD version but the LHD version can be converted to RHD for the passenger doors switch. Not reflected in the icon above the switch though. Push third and fourth switches up for three seconds until the unit's LEDs flash. Job done.
How will this work with my s3xy buttons I have already installed also there are so many accessories requiring obd connection now 😢 one of these auto accessories makers gotta make a larger obd cover where if we daisy chain these conected obd connections together we can fit these accessories all in one area also will this work with model3 highland
how happy I am when I see how Tesla owners discover that they can't live without physical buttons and do their best to put buttons on their car now (after they've been proud of their super minimalistic car in the drawing)
*RHD Hack* It is my understanding that the unit can be changed to Right Hand Drive (and presumable to Left Hand Drive for RHD versions) by pushing up the third and fourth buttons from the left for 3 seconds until the icons display flashes. Am I correct? *UPDATE 1 -* The seller told me yes, so fingers crossed as the saving is $A140. *UPDATE 2 -* Although the action described above does indeed make the unit open the left hand doors, this action will not be reflected in the unit's display. Most likely it would be if you purchased the official RHD version. The left doors opening is however reflected correctly on the Tesla screen.
The articulated screen swivel joint can work with the accessory button set but only if you leave off the swivel cover (mounted to the back of the LCD screen) or hack a big hole in the cover to allow attachment of the new bracket. I was a little disappointed that currently there is no direct fit that allows the end of the bracket to be hidden by the aftermarket cover. Since I didn't feel like sending the item back to China, I decided to cut out a piece of the cosmetic cover that comes with the Hansshow swivel bracket. I was a little overly aggressive with the trimming and perhaps cut too much, but the part that you cut is not really visible unless you look through the windshield. The main interference problem with the cover and the bracket involves the two "mounting wings" through which the two large mounting screws traverse. (I don't think this comment section allows picture attachments, otherwise I would show you the modified bracket.) Regardless, the modification works with the accessory button set, and it's looks fine. (Still, the buttons should be there in the first place, along with a 360 degree camera and front bumper camera like almost every other new EV on the planet, but I am aware that this comment always evokes rage in the Tesla zealots.)
Any idea whether the service department will give your a hard time with this install? They threatened to stop service because I installed a third party speedometer
Would you mind sharing here what they said about the speedometer? I am curious because they have never said a word about all my hundreds of mods and still cover any items under warranty. Thanks.
“After Market Display installed on this vehicle. upon research www.youtube.com/watch? v=Twct_gPDZgE video time 3:29 mins aftermarket tap into car computer which is causing the issue. Client is aware that it will be customer pay for any further action.”. The add on didn’t cause the issue (the camera on the Tesla screen was going black randomly) but they refused to service the car with the add on installed. Claimed it could be the add on causing the screen going black.
Another great accessory, Shiva! Question- so can we not use this if you have a swivel screen on? Especially one that can go up/down? As you said would have been much simpler install to stick it below charger
@@ShivaSapkotaplease let us know publicly. I also want to buy it but I have the swicel screen installed. BTW, really love your channel and installed a lot of accessories by watching your videos, please keep continue to do it! Happy New Year to all
I like all buttons and feature. But too much work. I would wait for the one with wireless control module which plugs into obd port and just need usb c power cable to the front control switches.
I would Like to See the Buttons Arrangements more logical for Buttons needed while Driving on the Steering wheels side, and the Buttons for comfort or Control of passenger seat towards the passenger Seat. It is not logical to reach for the wipers to the passenger side and have the passenger side Door unlock at the drivers Position.
100% agree. I don't understand why the first 5 buttons are not designed towards what the driver needs which is AC control, defog, temperature adjustment and wiper control. The passenger door switch does not need to be in the 1st position. I think it is silly that is that close to the driver. The passenger door switch should be in like the 8th position.

Buy a Tesla and then add as many third party buttons as possible to make it not a Tesla anymore. lol To each their own. I love everything about our '22 MY, especially the lack of clutter and buttons everywhere.
It’s worth spending the money to add that practicality back in. I have an instrument panel and better interior lighting in my MY. It’s nice that the aftermarket providers can tap into Tesla’s API to provide these features.

Programming to one’s own taste would have been a plus, example my wife’s biggest complaint is the fact that the wipers have a mind of their own in the Model Y so it would be very handy programming the very first button for the wipers instead of the button they have set up.
My thoughts exactly. My wife also dislikes the wiper controls and which is why I am looking for this solution
the passenger door as the first button is absolutely useless. There is no reason that a button you rarely use in the grand scheme of things should be in the first position.
How will this work with my s3xy buttons I have already installed also there are so many accessories requiring obd connection now 😢 one of these auto accessories makers gotta make a larger obd cover where if we daisy chain these conected obd connections together we can fit these accessories all in one area also will this work with model3 highland
I have asked a few companies to make that bracket bigger so we can fit multiple plugs. Hope they listen. Thank you!
how happy I am when I see how Tesla owners discover that they can't live without physical buttons and do their best to put buttons on their car now (after they've been proud of their super minimalistic car in the drawing)
Can you find a connector for AUX ?
Let me see what I can find. Thanks.
Reminds me of the BMW hot keys, but better
Looks like this is for UK customers, would like to have horizontal reversed
*RHD Hack*
It is my understanding that the unit can be changed to Right Hand Drive (and presumable to Left Hand Drive for RHD versions) by pushing up the third and fourth buttons from the left for 3 seconds until the icons display flashes. The left doors opening is however reflected correctly on the Tesla screen.
i got to know if the glovebox still open if you set up a pin.
It bypasses the glovebox PIN for some reason.
Nice setup video but please clean your screen every now and then 😜
I need a HUD in the teal cyber truck thanks in advance
I am sure we will see a lot of Cyber Truck accessories soon!
This could have been included from the factory. Anyway, good video as always.
Thank you so much!
Excellent way to turn back the eloquence of Tesla engineering 20 years.
Shiva, does it move with the articulated monitor?
I will test this on my Model 3 as I have a swivel installed and will make a post. Please allow me some time to check this out. Thanks!
@@ShivaSapkota How different is the install on a 2022 Model 3?
I am going to test the swivel soon and will let you know. Thank you very much!
@ShivaSapkota please try the TLYARD powered swivel screen please do a review on that product

Buy Tesla so you can finish the car in your ownership to male it safe to use. Next upgrade is the integration of stalks on highland.
Buy a Tesla and then add as many third party buttons as possible to make it not a Tesla anymore. lol To each their own. I love everything about our '22 MY, especially the lack of clutter and buttons everywhere.
You know the voice commands work extremely well…. Not needed….
I like the simplicity of the tesla. Not a fan of more buttons...
Very nice product, unfortunately Tesla owners have to incur the extra costs because Tesla left out practicality.
Agreed! Thank you Carlos. Hope you are doing well my friend. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
When greed takes over what the customer wants doesn’t matter.
You can put some O-ring washers between the screw head in the plastic to take out the extra space
It’s worth spending the money to add that practicality back in. I have an instrument panel and better interior lighting in my MY. It’s nice that the aftermarket providers can tap into Tesla’s API to provide these features.
@@rayepps4201 especially since ELONS greed won’t allow that to be incorporated into the vehicle. Where’s the satellite radio option?? SMH
If someone installed this product in new Tesla would effect the car warranty
Turn on lights and off it’s very big miss out
Without need of enhanced autopilot
Where is the model s version? 😂
