    Great video as always guys. Especially useful for me as I have been very inconsistent trying to lower my arms on the downswing. I've been following your advice in the magic move video and this now makes more sense and I can see where I've been going wrong.

    Shaun & Mike, this is a fantastic explanation of body turn and tilt with a great drill to get the feel. I’ve never seen the alignment stick drill across the back using the ‘noodle ‘ before. It’s a really great way to get feedback for the correct position and ‘feel’ - excellent teaching!

    Been working on that lead shoulder in backswing. Trying to get it going more down in takeaway. . It does wonders for your takeaway helps to keep arms from rotating to soon .Gets the backswing more upright plane which is a good thing.Imo you don’t see hardly anybody with to steep of shoulder plane. Good video

    I was striking the ball perfectly for a few weeks, finally shooting under par and set 3 new personal scoring records, then lost it and couldn't figure out why.
    I kept prematurely adding side bend at the top of the swing to try and shallow the club, but the drill at the end showed me how bad I was "hitting the noodle" (or over it), rather than the proper motion. Totally different feel, and more natural!
    I will definitely be adding this to my daily practice/warmup on the range.

    Would love to know/see what you (and Gears) make of Moe Norman's Single Plane swing, with its pre-side-tilt, extended arms and planted trail foot, etc. It has helped me gain consistency over the past year, but now I feel constrained by my effort to hit all those somewhat awkward (for me) positions. Your videos are reacquainting me with a delightful sense of natural yet disciplined "flow"; and I so appreciate it.

    Hey guys! I really like this video. Is there an ideal distance from the body or hands as to where to position the noodle? You mention that it should be at 8 iron height but nothing else. Kind of hard to tell from the camera angle. I saw where you replied to another viewer that it should be off of the left/lead shoulder. Thanks ⛳️

    I have watched a few videos lately how in the transition the hips and upper body - shoulders- move slightly forward and down. For over 25 years I've followed only a couple of highly popular and famous teachers. The one I have follow the most and i highly respect says about the transition; " if your right shoulder rocks down, all systems are go." What am I missing? To me that would indicate falling back somewhat. Is there a sequence in a small space in time where the left shoulder goes forward and down followed by the right shoulder dropping? This teacher also mentions in the same section that hands, arms, and club are passive at this juncture , they get a free ride down to delivery or the back corner of the swing. Thanks guys.

    Would love to see a video on toe strikes due to over rotation of the chest! I have a nice shallow downswing but torso gets too active and can pull the club head left when rotating through the ball! Im sure Im not the only one, but I cant find any content on this issue. Would like to see a video on when the torso slows down and the arms fly by...
    It seems there is a point...
    And to have the torso keep turning through can actually slow the club up.....I think....???
    Great content as always.....Shaun's down the line tee shot impressive.....beauty.

    I have been mildly critical of some of your videos in the past but I think they were probably only criticism of my ability to relate to what you were saying. That said, this video was a truly great reality check of my swing! I am sure I will be able to make use of this one. These concepts never get addressed. I have always had trouble connecting the different moves the body can make just from the belt to the shoulders. Thanks a ton, guys. I have boiled down a lot of golf instruction videos over the years to two sites that I respect - you guys along with one other I have found that are genuine and reliable golf analytics as far as I am concerned. Any tips or videos on making sure you get left wrist hinge at the top? I video my swing and it looks from down the line like my left wrist is like 45* instead of 90*, like if I held the club out in front of me it wouldn't point straight up, it'd be more like 45* between horizon and sky

Thanks for your help Aidan

    Hey fellas. Do you guys teach “task based” golf concepts for athletes coming from other sports opposed to “position” based concepts? For example, if you told me to to try and hit a baseball to the opposite field, I would have that thought which my body would be able to figure out after a little practice. Or if you told me to throw a sidearm/submarine motion to someone I could easily do that. I wouldn’t have to think about any positions with my body. I want go towards concepts where why natural athletic ability takes over. Thanks.

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf  4 роки тому

      That's always a great place to start, especially with good athletes from other sports. Sometimes that's all that's need, then sometimes there's more help needed. We like starting with the least amount of "influence" and go from there depending on how the player progresses👍

    Subject matter is great as is the drill. But there is no reference made to what a body, any body, can or cannot do. The upper thoracic region can sometimes not cope with a proper turn.
