David carter I don’t hate CGI, but I think that the practical effects are really good on Nemesis. There are some times when CGI is a crutch like Green Lantern, where everything down to his domino mask is CGI.
I just wonder why he didn’t kill the civilians. In the games he does. And also Nemesis doesn’t bleed, does it? I know it heals and the clothing is to keep his mutation under control

Actually, sniper Cowboy went straight for the heart.. Inflict heavy damage over the Coronary Area with a high caliber rifle and its done. No real soldier is going after headshots it's not realistic tbh.

In both the original and remake she gets infected by nemesis or drain deimos respectivly and carlos has to make a vaccine in the secret umbrella hospital lab before she dies. She get's her powers in re5 when wesker attaches the spider thing to her chest that inject P30 a variant of progenitor virus into her. That p30 gives her actual powers and in re3 she doesn't have any powers.
Nemesis has got to be one of the coolest movie monsters ever. The practical effects makes scenes like this amazing to watch, I really wish film makers did more costume design vs CGI.

Nemesis’s body is not armoured. He is covered by leather straps, that is it. When he was show, blood was spilling out - his body is exposed, no armour whatsoever. He is durable because he is a modified zombie + has potential to regenerate/mutate. You can damage him, but it will do nothing (kinda what gunshots do to Wolverine).

I lowkey like how they put Alice, BUT I hated how they made all the game characters seem so much weaker and more incompetent than Alice. Like i know she got injected with the T-virus but the way they really hyped her up and made her seem like this supercomputer was kinda wack. Not to mention claire's entrance wasn't that great in the third installment. The movies up until maybe Extinction, came from amazing to good to ok in my opinion, as there were so many loose ends in Extinction. Like what happened to Jill and Angela Ashford? Nemesis is a Tyrant class 102 the body armor is not for protection but to keep him from mutating out into a monstrosity they should kill him with a mega explosion not hurt him. Tyrants mutate in response to damage making them more deadly.

Gotta say... With the power of hindsight, and considering the last few years of Resident Evil live-action content, this was pretty good... I really liked the idea of S.T.A.R.S being more than a few dozen people, instead acting like an elite S.W.A.T team in the movie, with much more members than the games portrayed.
Ya know, I really admire his passion for Astronomy.. You can really tell that Nemesis loves everything about S.T.A.R.S and Space.. The boy really wanted to be an astronaut when he was a kid, but they denied him his dream because he was just too big. That lead him down this really dark road and it's the reason that he is so mad. He especially hates Jill, because she embarrassed him at Space Camp when they were kids and he's NEVER let it go..He wants to destroy her for making the class laugh at him.
In other words the person who made this movie didn't have enough creativity to make characters with common sense work. Nor did they utilize just how durable Nemesis originally is since he was blown up twice and rammed down a several story building under a taxi.

Alpha Team (and Rebecca of Bravo Team) were witnesses to the mansion incident and Umbrella are trying to clean house... But that never happened in the first movie lol S.T.A.R.S. weren't involved, so why is Nemesis after them in this movie??? Fuck sakes, talk about bad writing!

I don’t like how the make look stupid and unimportant to all the main characters in the Real Resident Evil Series. The STARS were killed like nothing, but Alice is the“ultimate character”. Come on, people. She is not even a character and all the great cast (Leon, Chris, Jill, etc. are below her. Also she gets to do all The badass moments because the rest seem too stupid to even try.
No real RE fan takes this film series as canon, relax and have a beer. I spent a weekend watching all the resident evil films. It gets worse than this, so much worse. ^^
Kahaee well in the original most the stars were killed by regular zombies in Spencer mansion they weren't that badass only the main playable characters were any good
I liked the casting for Jill, but absolutely hated that Alice had to upstage her whenever the two had a scene together. I mean Nemesis wasn’t even prioritising S.T.A.R.S members, it was just a side mission at best.

I never thought how much of a precision tool nemesis was in a way. He appears like a blunt instrument of war. But he clearly just followed orders to a T. He killed the stars team without killing him because he wasn't included in the kill order.
These movies had great potential. Especially the first and the second. The director managed to recreate a great environment, great costumes and thrill. Musically was great, the only problem that screwed everything.. the director had a wife to fit into this :(

I remember playing RS2 years ago and the first time Nemesis appeared I was so scared that I had to give the controller to my big brother. Such an amazing game, so many memories...
"They're S.T.A.R.S. 'Special Technics And Rescue Squad'. They're the best." Which makes sense. Until you look at the threat level Nemesis' programming has them classified as, which is minimal. But L.J. - to whom Nemesis is an "armed civilian" (until he drops his weapons) - is also classified as minimal threat level by Nemesis' programming. In essence, the STARS are no more dangerous to Nemesis than LJ. 😅
But "Nemesis" took over the sniper without approval directive from the command center, and still categorizing the threat as minimal, which is wrong, the sniper might have been seen as moderate Threat to be dealt without approval, the program might categorize moderate and high as threats to be dealt immediately without any approval, you can also see that "Functionality" went from 96% after being fired by the sniper to 99.8% when the current STARS team was wiped out

The sniper repeatedly shoots the chest against a stationary enemy knowing full well only headshots kill zombies. Not to mention after unloading into him for a good 10 seconds he doesn't flinch so they just stand there and wait to die instead of retreating or taking cover. Stars is apparently the best of the best. Jill Valentine and Chris redfield are members of stars. In the movies however they're just generic military and cops and stars gets killed off quickly because Alice needs to have hours of screen time while the game characters are reduced to around 2 minutes each
There is even a shot showing the civilian all alone, then the bodies just pop in already dead. Got to wonder if it's a censorship issue? Trying to go for a less restrictive age rating perhaps? Otherwise it's some pretty painful film making.
I praise whoever casted Mike Epps to be in Resident Evil. I always loved his comedy and the roles he played. I wish his character would've lasted longer in Resident Evil 3 but the writers felt that his character was too cool to be around any of the other supporting cast members so they just let him get bitten in a stupid hotel scene where they're looking for supplies by a hiding zombie...

This movie is still bad, but credit where it's due, it is definitely the most accurate to the games. It is an adaptation of Resident Evil 3. And Nemesis looks awesome.

Nemesis’s body is not armoured. He is covered by leather straps, that is it. When he was show, blood was spilling out - his body is exposed, no armour whatsoever.

I lowkey like how they put Alice, BUT I hated how they made all the game characters seem so much weaker and more incompetent than Alice. Like i know she got injected with the T-virus but the way they really hyped her up and made her seem like this supercomputer was kinda wack. Not to mention claire's entrance wasn't that great in the third installment. The movies up until maybe Extinction, came from amazing to good to ok in my opinion, as there were so many loose ends in Extinction. Like what happened to Jill and Angela Ashford? Those things were left unsaid and we don't know if they are alive.

some old fanboys would complain about the fact he had a minigun in the movie, but i never saw the problem. it's like reasoning like the psycho lady of Misery at this state. perhaps it's surprising at first view , but it's logical when we Really think about it. in the og game he doesn't have one because of the rigid controls of the game , it would make it unplayable and too difficult , while his launcher rockets would be easier to avoid. Nemesis having a bullet firing weapôn would definitely gave him an advantage at some range. most of the time , he's slow , and even if he still can run, because of his immense weight , he would need many of energy to do so, and it would be hard for him to turn around in a place full of targets.
It's a shame how the rest of the movie/movies had little to no relevance to the games

Ya know, I really admire his passion for Astronomy.. You can really tell that Nemesis loves everything about S.T.A.R.S and Space.. The boy really wanted to be an astronaut when he was a kid, but they denied him his dream because he was just too big. That lead him down this really dark road and it's the reason that he is so mad. He especially hates Jill, because she embarrassed him at Space Camp when they were kids and he's NEVER let it go..He wants to destroy her for making the class laugh at him.

The whole point of Nemesis going after S.T.A.R.S. members in the games was because of the survivors of S.T.A.R.S. I don’t like how the make look stupid and unimportant to all the main characters in the Real Resident Evil Series. The STARS were killed like nothing, but Alice is the“ultimate character”. Come on, people. She is not even a character and all the great cast (Leon, Chris, Jill, etc. are below her. Also she gets to do all The badass moments because the rest seem too stupid to even try.
Its more a case of the actress who plays Alice gets all the best stuff cause she was married to the director and always got what she wanted

These movies had great potential. Especially the first and the second. The director managed to recreate a great environment, great costumes and thrill. Musically was great, the only problem that screwed everything.. the director had a wife to fit into this :(

In essence, the STARS are no more dangerous to Nemesis than LJ. 😅
But "Nemesis" took over the sniper without approval directive from the command center, and still categorizing the threat as minimal, which is wrong, the sniper might have been seen as moderate Threat to be dealt without approval, the program might categorize moderate and high as threats to be dealt immediately without any approval, you can also see that "Functionality" went from 96% after being fired by the sniper to 99.8% when the current STARS team was wiped out

@@Stribog1337 but they chose to stand out in the open with no cover and one of them hid behind a trash can? The sniper repeatedly shoots the chest against a stationary enemy knowing full well only headshots kill zombies. Not to mention after unloading into him for a good 10 seconds he doesn't flinch so they just stand there and wait to die instead of retreating or taking cover.
Stars is apparently the best of the best. Jill Valentine and Chris redfield are members of stars. In the movies however they're just generic military and cops and stars gets killed off quickly because Alice needs to have hours of screen time while the game characters are reduced to around 2 minutes each

The STARS team spreads out, nemesis shoots, bodies are grouped in one place. This is just bad.
There is even a shot showing the civilian all alone, then the bodies just pop in already dead. Got to wonder if it's a censorship issue? Trying to go for a less restrictive age rating perhaps? Otherwise it's some pretty painful film making.

I praise whoever casted Mike Epps to be in Resident Evil. I always loved his comedy and the roles he played. I wish his character would've lasted longer in Resident Evil 3 but the writers felt that his character was too cool to be around any of the other supporting cast members so they just let him get bitten in a stupid hotel scene where they're looking for supplies by a hiding zombie...

When the STARs fire at Nemesis, his functionality starts to slowly drop. That was a nice touch.
The scary part about that is when you see the functionality rise back up. That self-healing and regeneration.

This movie is still bad, but credit where it's due, it is definitely the most accurate to the games. It is an adaptation of Resident Evil 3. And Nemesis looks awesome.

One compliment you have to give these movies is that, for the most part, they NAIL to character designs from the video games. Nemesis is probably the best of them.

And also considering this is all practical effect, that costumes must have been pretty heavy so they went with a more T-1000 type Nemesis instead of classic Nemesis-T
