They turned to save themselves and others. But in the movies, everything was Alice. Okay, she was the protagonist of the films, but the filmmakers shouldn't have turned such beloved characters into mere dependent supporting characters!*
This is exactly the reason why I don't like the movies much. I feel like they could have been so much better if they gave the other characters some moments to shine as well and this also made the movies very predictable since you always knew Alice was just gonna save the day no matter what

Yeah it evolves. But the Problem is, that those are majini (people infected with the las plagas parasite type 2 in the main universe but not as aggressive or strong but smarter). In the life Action mouvie universe the t virus evolves and brings us those majini like super zombies (stronger, faster, more durable and even more inteligent than the standart Zombies.) In my opinion, that was one of the best desicions they ever made.
If only Paul kept up with connecting all the films after really the 2nd one. I know the third was supposed to be the last but why stop if you’re making all this money. I’ll cut him slack too because that guy is constantly working on other films too.
I hate how bad they cast an actress to play Claire on these live action movies. Claire is just 19 in her first appearence, none of these actresses looks like 19.
