@kenbarthSimAV8tor, Thanks Ken, I appreciate your always kind words and support. I'm happy you look forward to the seaplane action. I enjoy recording and sharing the seaplane action, it has become a favourite pastime. Best...Corrie
Forth like and first comment. I feel special. Thanks again...I appreciate your brand of early morning entertainment. Beats the heck out of watching the news! Ha!😁
@mjbirdsong21, Michael, I am truly grateful for your always kind words and support, thank you. Seaplanes and a morning coffee is a perfect start to the day. The news is all bad, stick with seaplanes....lol. Best....Corrie
Hi Corrie thanks for another great video. For the information of anyone who doesn't know much about the types we see operating in Vancouver and Victoria the pod on the starboard wing of the Caravans houses the weather radar. A Beaver in a Sunday video again, you really are spoiling your viewers.
@mothmagic1, Thanks Ian, your always kind words, knowledgeable engagement and support means the world to me. I did not know that the pod on the starboard wing of the Caravan houses the weather radar. I wondered about it, but didn't give it much thought, now I know. You have been the best teacher on this journey and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Best...Corrie
@@leftcoastcorriei do my best. Never be afraid to ask. If I know the answer I'll be happy to share, if I don't I will attempt to find out and pass it on.
@jamesburnside3023, Thanks Jim, always grateful for your kind words and support. Summer on the left is coming to a quick end, fall is in the air. Best....Corrie
@juliemanarin4127, Thanks Julie, I appreciate your kind words and support. Vancouver is a busy place for sure. Busiest water aerodrome in all of Canada. Best...Corrie
Sounds like the start of a joke!! 3 otters 2 beaver and a caravan walk into a bar! 😂 It always amazes me how these planes fly with boots on...seems it would create quite a bit of drag.
@juliemanarin4127, you made me chuckle, it does sound like a joke. I had never thought of the pontoons as boots, but it's a good analogy. Thanks for your kind words, fun engagement and support, I am truly grateful. Best...Corrie
Hi Corrie, I've been wondering how the piston A/C do their run ups. Now I know since you just posted this video with a Beaver doing just that! You are so good...
@frankthomas855, Frank, I sincerely appreciate your always kind words, engagement and support, thank you. I have learned more about seaplanes in the past 2 years than I had learned in the previous 54 years before. What a journey and I'm happy you're sharing it. Best...Corrie
I think they taxi around to let the oil temperature come up whilst they perform the pre take off checks. The POH for most piston engines recommend not risking take off until you have fifty degrees Celsius on the gauge. I sometimes wonder how that is achieved in the depths of an Alaskan winter
@mothmagic1 @frankthomas855, I am truly grateful for the knowledge that gets shared in this amazing community. Research has taught me a lot, but doesn't compare what I have learned from the visitors to the lounge. I am forever indebted to everyone that has taken the time to leave positive comments, share personal stories and to help educate me. I sincerely thank you all. Best....Corrie
I always look forward to your seaplane action Corrie 👍 👌
