A little small detail that many people gloss over is that Frieren stated she hasn’t killed demons in the 500 years before joining Himmel’s party which explains why Aura didn’t know anything about Frieren and just assumed that she only started killing demons 80 years ago.
Also no one seems to catch Flamme telling Frieren to lay low and not do anything until she kills the demon king so the demons she fights don't know who she ism, Like she did nothing for hundreds of years.
Frieren DID say that elves in their world don't really have much inclination to reproduce or even have sex. They seem to be a rather solitary race and finding one another is rare, hence why she also said they're quietly going extinct. She may not have let Himmel hit, but she definitely had that man wrapped around her finger. That smooch had him SLUMPED.
I think that's fairly common for elves in most stories they live for thousands of years so they don't feel the need to reproduce to the degree humans do elves in a lot of stories are borderline asexual

Stark was thinking about his brother being a hero not himself. In the manga he doesn’t look back at all. After Frieren comments on how people keep the secret to protect Himmel’s image as a hero it just cuts to later as they are leaving the village.

Elves kinda have this desire tho to be praised by others/future generations which is why they tend to focus on one thing and try to get really good at it ( for frieren that’s magic and she likes to collect those silly magics cuz Himmel praised her for it lul). This is all just speculation on my part tho

It's probably more like the technology of our modern world, it can be limited to its main purpose and while creativity in its application is possible, it's not as common as we think it is. PEAK SHOW to just enjoy and unwind.
