I think this is a record for the most times I messed up in a single project 🤣🤣 (still worth it though, i love these shoes so much)

I actually prefer the red and orange ones! But they are both beautiful!
If you ever try something like this again, try looking at the sculptable foam. I know cosplayers like kamui cosplay have used it before. You would probably be able to skip the silicon completely
The only problem with sculptable foam is that it isn't very flexible so it would only work in areas where there isn't a lot of movement. Sculptable foam had some awesome uses though, I used it to cover my prosthetic leg to give it a more realistic shape.

I like the orange shoes just because they look cleaner. Regardless tho, this was a big project that turned out really really well in the end. I love the stuff you make and it’s awesome to see your projects come to life :)

You're so sweet & cheery! I love your enthusiasm and tenaciousness. Love both sets of shoes, but I'm leaning on the two toned orange/cream version. Shame about the strawberry socks.....they were cute too :)
It's incredibly frustrating when projects go upside-down-turtle so major kudos to you for persisting and ending up with TWO really cool pairs of octopus shoes!
On another note, I love your strawberry socks. The one sock's "scar" doesn't affect how it wears so that's something.
The purple ones are ABSOLUTELY what Ursula's daughter would wear on Disney's Descendants, incredible.
as a big purple fan I'm surprised by how much I love the orange! I voted for purple on instagram but the orange came out really fun and i love the contrast with the red. i think i might like the orange more but they're both SO fun! I think these and your belle shoes have been some of my favorite projects of yours over the last couple years :)
This is so cool and fun! I’d love to see more creative shoes done! Maybe making an actual pair of the monster high shoes? I think Galiope Jellington’s shoes would be really fun to make!

the tentacles theme and the two different color schemes are definitely a Rose Lalonde moment (this is a compliment). They turned out fantastic!

The purple has this deep water mystic vibe, while the orange/red has a more coral theme. I honestly can't decide which one is better!

if you ever wanna sculpt again for a project, I heavily suggest Milliput! It's a type of clay that, once it hardens, it'll be rock hard! You'll get two tubes of it, you have to mix these two different clays of Milliput together, two equal sized blobs, once they are molded together they should be one color instead of two colors, no streaks, spots, etc, then you can start using it! It's best for smaller objects though as once they're molded together it'll start hardening, it hardens in three to four hours, highly suggest this stuff, I use it a lot and it's really nice!

P.S. Monarchs are at risk! If you have the opportunity to plant milkweed that is native to your region, do so! There's a company that if you mail them a self-addressed envelope with postage attached, they will send you back the appropriate seeds for your area at no additional cost.

amazingly creative project !! I like the orange/red combo more as they stand out more and honestly, they look really good on you with the black dress!
So creative, I love the ingenuity of attaching the tentacles to tights, it looks seamless, like they are actually stuck to your leg.
Personally I prefer the orange, which is not to say that the purple doesn't also look cool ^_^

I thought I’d like the purple most, but I love the tan and red most! These shoes were such a creative idea! I love it! I love doing projects that I know I’ll learn from and that’s what you did here! I’m sure you learned so much and they came out so cute! ❤️

You should totally make a babydoll style dress with an octopus theme to go with the shoes! Maybe the sleeves could resemble an octopus as well? (I’m no seamstress but I think it would look super cool, especially with the shoes!)
Oh my gosh- thanks to you I know if I ever wanted to make anything with silicone, I'd research it to the ends of the earth before I began! I didn't even know there are like a zillion different kinds - but of course there are! You live, you learn hehe I'm Sure the other mould would be usable for something - like a bag, or a dress, or head something ohh or arm band etc! Xxxx So much work, but each thing you do you get better at it and have more knowledge for the next thing! That's so interesting the painting the layers of silicone on to make the mould - it worked super well!!! I was thinking that if you laid it flat to do that it wouldn't work but it's amazing! And ingenuous, INGENIOUS with the attaching it on to the tights! I never would have thought of that in a million years! I wouldn't have thought tights would be strong enough ! It looks SO GOOD 💖💗💕🐙🐙
I Actually love the peach/red octopus, the tips of different colour give the illusion of movement and grip and that it's gripping on and holding on and wrapping itself around your leg, and pulling you towards itself!!!! The purple is super cute too- now you can have a choice for dress up or cosplay purposes which you want to wear based on the colour!!!! Love xxxxx

As an action you can detach the octopi from both shoes, they become familiars for one hour. If they die while not attached they are teleported back to the shoe and cannot be re-used until you finish a long rest
