Finishing the Dutch Door for the Animal Cottage | Dog and Cat House | Part 8

Hey there,
In this video, I finished the Dutch Door. I added insulation first and then added a frame. The frame boards were ripped into an "L" shape and installed. I then used reclaimed fence pickets to fill in the areas inside the frame boards. Lastly, I added decorative accents made out of more fence pickets. I like the way it looks and the insulated door really makes a difference inside.

There are many ways to build and many different methods and tools to use. This video just documents the way I went about this project. I hope this video inspires you to build something and maybe use reclaimed materials as well.

Thank you so much for the incredible compliment. I am thinking about another perch in front of the dormer window. I’m working on insulating the ceiling but after that’s done I think I will add another perch. I appreciate you taking the time to write that comment. It really means a lot. Take care.
