- Early summer day in 2019 searching for halibut and I stumble across one of the most elusive fish around. The second WSB of my life made me a pretty happy dude.
I've have never do fishing in my life, but when he screamed "SEA BASS!" I really felt excited. :D
Me too! I don’t know anything about fishing but I’m so happy for him
@@jayibrak1860 Chill out bro it's probably not his first language. Don't have to be a dick about it.
My grandfather said something about fishing that is completely true. A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work. Fishing is just so relaxing and when you get something big like that it's such a rush. I still remember the first time I ever went fishing I caught like 20 fish my grandfather would no sooner get the line back in the water and I was pulling up another one. We had a cooler full before noon
sea bass is a rare one that's why he's excited
Congratulations on that big ol' Croaker!!! I know exactly where you were when you hooked that beauty. A few years back, I had a mama Gray Whale and her calf swim directly beneath my kayak very near to that spot. SUBSCRIBED!
My favorite place
I loved that you showed and gave thanks to the fish. Mother nature loves you and blesses you!
I’ve become so addicted to this channel to the point where I started skip the beginning of the videos because they’re spoilers.
Title too is a spoiler.... Just saying
@@vincentbetaillouloux9906 Seeing the actual thing hits different.
Haha. Thats rad. I'll only put a little spoiling in the beginnings I guess. But I'm a fisherman so I'm trying to get you hooked from the start.
glad for happy you and thanks for this video, saw it only in supermarket before) greetings from Moscow!
Thats a big sea bass! How exciting!
Meanwhile in animal crossing I'll be like seriously not another sea bass how lame LOL
How does this not have more views
I've seen so many videos of sharks taking bites out of fish people were trying to bring in that I felt crazy anxiety seeing him stick his foot in the water right up along the fish...
wow!!!! Dream catch right there.
I literally couldn't have been able to lift that into the kayak - but I could have made some sweet . Where was this? And why didn't I get to eat it?
Amazing fish
Where did you go out of?
Where do you normally go fishing?
Central coast of California
@@Mr.Markus. looks amazing!
What part of California?
Kirsch Media Central Coast
Bro sounded like Lemmon grab when he landed that fish
Who else thought he was going to take a drink of that Red Bull mid fighting that red bull at 6:51
Gotta love when other fishermen join in on the excitement. Makes it ten times more exhilarating.
Dude I don’t even like fishing but it’s 3am and UA-cam recommended it to me, how do could I say no?
Never gone fishing, but that's sick dude!
Amazing catch. Love how you instantly went for the quick humane death! Such a beauty
So epic! Amazing catch! I had a very similar reaction when I pulled up my seabags on the nomad lure this last July. Keep up the great work! I love your energy. Tight lines bro!
Oh man, that's exactly how I felt when I caught a sea bass.
"Feelin a bit sluggish..." yep. Definitely sluggish 😂 congrats!
OMG 🤯🤯🙌🏽🙌🏽 congrats man! the dream!
Ish With Fish serious man. After I caught my first I went a little seabass crazy. That was all I thought about and all I wanted to catch for like 3 years and never got one. Then I just kinda gave up on them and focused all my energy on halibut and I get a bass! Haha. So thankful for those fish.
Congrats!!! My first big fish from the yak was a ghost-rare catch these days!
the lucky man in the word
44 lbs, $22 a lbs, man just pulled up nearly a grand
I was just thinking what if a shark saw free meal and took his leg too lol
Haha 69th comment
What pound test was on your leader ? Beautiful fish ! Congratulations !
I don't know where Markus is at. I live in Los Angeles. White sea bass does come in close specially in Malibu and higher north, but the water gets real choppy up north.
My god . . . You are a legend. Huge fan of the vids! Love from the Bay Area💯✌️
Haha. Thanks man. I’ll keep em coming. Hopefully chasing some salmon in your neck of the woods this season.
I wonder if there is anyone out there who don't support killing fish for honor or fun.
The only thing i agree with you is... it's (was) a beauty.
Very cool. Right after you made this on MAY 13th a dude named Brian Beam out of Dana Point hooked his first WSB and was a 80llber that towed him for over one and and a half miles and he stopped it on a sardine with a #2 ultra point Mustad hook. The 80 holds the kayak record but this is still one hack of a nice bass, great job!!!
I saw that fish he caught. What a monster!!! Bet that fight was REALLY fun!!!
Lol #fishgiggles
Hook2Cook Happens to me every time😂
Remember kids, it's ok to eat fish cuz they don't have any feelings
Sea 🎸
He seemed so calm, like as if he got caught alot when he was smaller and thought "oh this is no biggie he's just gunna throw me back". lol not this time
Wow. That's one big Bass
That initial run was amazing.
Full on sleigh ride
Hello. Great video! Great fishing! Thanks. Please tell me what multiplier reel did you use?
Олег Суворов this was on a Daiwa Lexa 400HD
@@Mr.Markus. Thanks a lot for your answer...
Hell yea bro! Double up on the stringer!
Hook2Cook I gots to. The biggest halibut of my life I only had one on and that thing popped open and the fish was thrashing around for like 15 seconds and I didn’t even realize. Luckily it didn’t get off though.
I killed a dragon just like this 9:40
Loving the content man
So I take it you like the new yak vs the old one....
Congrats big time! I can feel it from here!
Thought you are in russia on the white sea, lol
Damm youre channel growing fast
Man you have to start showing the cleaning part
Beautiful catch 44LB sea bass.
beautiful morning
Holy shit a year ago?? And this is hella underrated
How far down are they?
10:27 why?do you get fined for catching a bass?
No, I just didn't want them to see the fish cause they would tell all the other boats over the radio and then there would be 10 boats fishing all in the same spot as me.
What he do with the fish, he release them? O he take them home to eat them
Most of them I eat and share with friends and family.
looks like a big speckled trout. should've thrown it back
One of the most delicious fish on our coast🤤
@@Mr.Markus. I just release the bigger fish
I couldn't believe it and he got got it all on video too!
Where do you fish at? I am new to the channel!
I'm on the central coast of California
How big was the stones? Sick catch homie
The were like the size of a nickel but oval shaped and not circular. They sit on my desk so I can see them every day.
Picked up a #50 at La Jolla in April some years ago from a Scupper Pro dragging a green back mackerel. Lots there March-April rough without braid catching them around the kelp
Awesome fish bro!!!
Congratulations bro!!! Definitely a beast of a 👻!!!!
Thanks bra!!
Insane
I love fishing but have a fear of the ocean. So in other words this seems amazing but one tip and I'm done
so what do you plan on doing with the fish?
I eat it and share it with friends, family, and my coworkers.
@@Mr.Markus. that is a lot of fish xd
That is a nice fish man!
Absolute BEAST!!! Right on✊🏽!!! New sub btw☝🏽
Put that bad boy on two stringers! Lol
Awesome catch!
Congrats bro those things are hella rare
Awesome. I wish I knew how to fish
But have you ever caught a sea bass with freakin laser beams attached to their heads?
Still searching for em. Haha
Man that fish is a GIANT dude thats SICK MAN congrats 🥳
Thanks!
Where v the seals
dude that is a hog!!!!! that's the ghost that haunts my dreams...lol congrats!
Probably the most frustrating and most rewarding fish at the same time! Haha.
Dude I have never seen a fish being murdered more brutally
"Murdered" lol
Oh my god finally the first comment i read who's against it
WOWW!!!!
Nice catch. And nice video.
Awesome man
what's the name of that kayak? It seems really cool
Hobie Outback
SHEEESHH
What's your rod reel set-up?
Do you use 7 MHF or ?
I use a 6’6” MH with a Siegler SG for live baiting. An 8’ foot Medium with like an 8000 size spinning reel for casting. And this was on a 6’6” MH and a Lexa 400 I use for a bouncing artificials
Nice one Mark
Wow
Is there a hook on your squid teaser? Or did it take the lure?
Tim Thax It hit an octopus jig that I was slow bouncing across the bottom.
Yessah!! Epic!! Congrats!!
Must feel good to out smart a fish 😂
It sure tastes good to outsmart a fish
Why hide it from the other boat?
Cuase more than likely they'll fish right on top of me and call other boats on the radio to tell them where i got it and usually boat motors will scare this type of fish away.
This out in southern CA man?
Yeah. Santa Barbara county.
Is that a 2020 Outback or 2019?
KiLLAxDOUGHBOY it’s a 2016
What octopus jig do you use ?
Its made by Joes Jigs
Что это за рыба и что с ней дальше делать кушать её или на продажу?
It’s called a White Sea bass. I eat it and share it with my friends and family.
dahm
Just curious, but why did he hide it from the other people on the boat? Like he said I assume it was fully grown, so it should be fine? What an awesome catch👏😊
Most likely because there might be other big fish in the area and he was joking that he didn't want to share them? 😂 idk
I think to add to what the person above me said, I think he like most people when they find a good spot kind of want to keep it to themselves so it doesn’t become over populated (but I could be wrong)
@@didybopintitys ah now I understand, thank you both for your answers
Yeah a little of what both of the comments said but also this fish in particular is often scared away by boat motors. If they saw my fish they would probably come right over to try and get one and scare any other fish away. I was really hoping my buddies would get one too. And one of them did.
Thanks for being humane and killing it quickly!
Always gotta respect the fish
