I love how he talks about how good it sounds but refuses to shut his trap long enough to allow us to hear the fucking thing.
lollllll! I was thinking the same thing...
Jeff Stone does a superb job. I really enjoyed this review. Dealers probably sell a lot of these just from his banter. It's made my mind up!
Bought one in May this year. 26,500 miles on it. 2002 year. I went to Scotland on a 1300 mile round trip the next day after the dealer delivered it. Never missed a beat either, now on 30,500. So go on, BUY ONE!. lol
I bought a single owner...before me, 2003 995i Daytona / Red...that went back to the singly swing arm rear suspension...but in most other ways looks like the one in this video. It had 11,050 miles on it and was in BRAND NEW, out of the box condition. The original owner was a fanatic about keeping the bike pristine. There were many improvements added from the bike featured in this video and having ridden virtually every sport bike out there...this bike is far and away my favorite in it's class. If you've not felt the linear pull of that triple engine, you really need to if you can. it's a BRILLIANT engine. Handling is superb, intuitive, predictable and sooo stable in deep angle cornering. I paid $3000 for the bike. Best bang for the buck I've ever spent.
My '01 955i has a singlesided swingarm which I LOVE. Screw the extra weight!
Agree with all that was said, excellent bike
I bought a 02 for 450 bucks after the guy wanted 1500. Needs a bit of work but overall it isn't bad. Took it out for a spin and man I loved it. It was suppose to be a buy cheap and sell afterwards but I may keep it.
If you can get a hand on a speed triple 1050 (2008-2010) you can swap the fork, the wheels, the swingarm and the full tail+seat+tank but keeping the Daytona fairings and front headlight. Full downpipe, low end can r6 style, custom remap with air filter and modified airbox. you'll most likely need a traction control module but it'll be worth every penny
Great review from the man, thanks
Got an 04 Black edition
Great bike 👍🏻
I think hes a great tester concise no messing i wish it was a lot longer , so there..
Steel tank on the earlier Daytonas
@1:42 "149 brake horse power at the crank..."
Looks like an ‘02 to me
