If you have a class A motor home, you shouldn't really have a storage problem. You might have too much stuff. Some of your ideas will help those like us with small travel trailers, thanks.
Hi I just wanted to say my daughter found out she puts her fruits in glass closed lid jars last way longer then plastic bags or plastic containers. It’s crazy. I couldn’t BELIVE how long her strawberries and raspberries last. Try it. But wash when ready to eat. Put away dry. Enjoy. And I love your videos. You have taught me a lot. Thankyou so much safe travels ♥️😊
I recently learned that if you store apples with other fruits, it ripens everything extra quickly because of the gases the apples release. So, if you find that all of your fruit is ripening more quickly than you like, store your apples in a separate basket.
I bought these cereal things and HATED them. Now I’m looking at them differently. I started to get rid of the 3 I bought but the rice/beans idea isn’t terrible.
Walmart has a toiletry bag in their luggage section. It has a center pocket and a zippered pocket on each side with a hook for hanging it up. It only comes in black and it is made from very durable fabric. I use one to store my backpacking stove, utensils fit nicely in the side pockets. I carry this in my Bug Out bag in my truck. I have one for its original purpose in my carry-on bag. I also have one that i have outfitted with a set of tools. This has been very handy to hang up to access items.
Oh wow some great hacks. We are getting ready for a month long trip & you gave me so many ideas. The best one is the refrigerator bins. Thank you so much
I never buy trash bags. Grocery store bags work great for under the sink trash, and they'e free! For the small trash can that I use for the cat box, I use plastic produce bags. Reduces the amount of plastic and saves $$$.
Since I tend to move every few years and my move resources are limited, challenging, I have used DollarTree items, items from the thrift stores in the way of good old fashioned and sturdy cook items and items to help out with storage. Sometimes I used cardboard. But prefer to use plastic. Have also used plastic deli sushi containers and other food containers such as fresh cut up fruit containers. Round containers make for a cereal bowl in a pinch. Square containers I have used for food eating utensils, organize things like spices. Nice when I recently moved, these containers can break down here and there. And my last few moves, I could not logistically take with me. So, in the recycle bin they went. Now, each time a plastic food container comes through my house, I scrutinize if I can possibly reuse even as a temporary organization container or place in the recyclables. Had saved me lots of money over the years with my many moves.
All of your tips are great. Living in a small apt., space and organization is vitaly important as well. I keep several clean new garbage bags in the bottom of the container so when the full one is ready to take out, there is a new one waiting. Then the large roll of garbage bags can be stored out of the way.
Another way to hang garments is using a S hook and a length of chain. I buy the chain in the garden section at Dollar General. I can hang up to 12 garments in about 3 inches. I put long items in the top link(s) and then shorter ones in the links going down. This also works well for pants/slacks. I put one of these at my back door and hang all my coats on it. I can easily access any coat without disturbing the rest. Thank you for your videos.....
We eat a lot of spinach in our home but it doesn’t last long. We also use the paper towels that keeps it fresh twice as long. Also, if possible, grab the spinach from the back. It also stays fresh for longer.
Another great organization video. Great job guys. Living in an RV can present some challenges for storing your stuff but you guess continually show us new ideas to help make it better. Thanks Charity and Ben. Safe travels.
I have a trip coming and been looking for the toiletry bag, the little bags you put your clothes in in the suitcase and the bag you showed where you put clothes in 3-4 slots. The one you showed where you toke from closet put in suitcase and clip so things don't fall out. It also has to hooks on top to hang in the closet. I truly love watching your videos. God Bless 💕💕💕
Getting a good mattress topper was a game changer for me. I'm really excited to get on our boat this summer bc I sleep well now. All thanks to a MN company that makes great mattress toppers and sheets. I don't have kitchen or bedroom space like you do. But I still watch bc I never know when I'll discover something that will make boat life easier and more enjoyable.
Have one on my airbed. Temp airbed for my apartment. Makes all the difference in the world. Plus I have two comforters on top of the mattress. Nice to soften up, keep my arthritic bones warm.
Soft straight sided boxes such as drawer organizers work so much better for a small space. Also leave no unused vertical space. Four snap lock containers waste 1” of space as well as those refrigerator bins. Use straight sided canisters that a re narrow rectangles with tight fitting lids. they stack well turn one up and one down.
YOU ARE MY HERO! We just moved into a travel trailer for now (HURRICANE IAN). I have camped years ago when my kids were young. I'm LOVING the organization with the bins, the Dollar Tree DIY. This camper is 29 feet but not a lot of storage. You have a new follower and fan.
Charity I think you are one of best RV presenters on UA-cam and thanks for the hacks, I'm going to use some of them in the House. Please give a big huge for me to Alaska!
Thanks for all the great tips! Ill wait til i move to my next home to impliment some. Living in small apartments, you can never have enough storage hacks! Its called thinking out of the box.........
Great ideas. We have camped out of a tent trailer for many years which is a whole different thing when it comes to storage. This week we bought a new trailer tent and went for comfortable layout which means that we compromised on storage a great deal. The trailer box is only 10' x 6' and our kitchen storage area flips over for travel. Other than that storage there are really only two other very small cabinets near the floor. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to use that kitchen storage that flips over for travel. I love the broom holder ideas for flashlights etc.
I have been looking for something to put remotes in by the bed. To free up the "nightstand". Didn't even think about the boxes at dollar tree. Also looking for something to get the paper towels off counter. Love those ideas. Thank you
This is a great video and has some great tips! I have a small camper and it will be challenging to organize! Thanks! My favorite is the towel rack for paper towels and the refrigerator bins!!
I am moving from a 2500 sq. ft. home into a Forest River Cedar Creek Cottage destination trailer so storage tips are greatly appreciated. As you share ideas I realize that for years I've collected some of the neatest storage containers from mostly the Dollar Tree and I should take them with me to use in the RV. I like the hanging paper towel holder idea and the shower caddy. But most of all you are making me realize that I need to use what I already have in this new tiny home. Thanks.
I use the plastic shoe boxes from Dollar Tree for a lot, but they are great for pantry organization because they have a snap on lid and can be stacked one on top of the other. They also carry the long narrow and small square bins that come in packs of 2 to 4 that are great for junk drawers.
paper towels in those lettuce bags help too. I do like the handle for paper towels, I did't know it went that long. So you put a bottle holder up that holds 2 bottles in the space of 4 hmm I thought we were trying to save space :)
Great video of tips just starting my "RV" journey but self building on a short wheel based Citroen Van so need all the space saving i can get. Thank you xx
I really like the small space storage hacks, why I would have never thought! Excellent! And on a side note:: my hero Ben is a professional on the camera!
Hi Charity, love all ur hacks and use Dollar Tree almost exclusively for our storage needs. I noticed ur bedspread in ur rv bed and loved it. Have been looking for something like that for a long time. Can I ask where u bought it???? We watch ur channel all the time and really enjoy ur travels and camping ideas!!!!
Re- garbage bags… no, the seams outside doesn’t mean you turn it inside out. 🤦🏻♀️ My husband worked for a company who design the machines that make trash bags. The seam is created as the side is sealed and then cut.
I just bought a fifth wheel with a large pantry in the kitchen. My TT didn’t have a pantry in it, now I have to figure out what to use to organize and keep items secure on travel days in the pantry. I didn’t have any issues with the small cabinets in my TT, I feel like a newbie trying to figure this out…. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Just found you on You Tube and so grateful!! love the 30 DIY video and this one! My husband and I will be full time RVer by years end. We've always had tow behind trailers, boats etc to camp with. But full time is a different story. Thank you for your videos. P.S. love the bloopers. Debie
Love your videos and have taken a lot of your advice! We are currently driving to Yellowstone from Florida and had to stop at Buccees! Loved the Brisket sandwich and cinnamon roll! What an experience! Too funny! Thanks for the heads up!
Another use for the vegetable containers is to put your pickles and olives in. Then when you want those items you just left the inner container and the juice is left behind and you don't have to fish pickles and olives out of the jar. Also I store my roll of trash bags in the bottom of the trash can and when you need another one, viola, the bags are right there and not under your sink. You're Welcome!
Better to put paper towels around vegetables and into plastic bag without much air in it because. there is usually a lot of moisture in the air including mold spores floating in the air. Vitamins leach out of vegs covered in water.
Lol, we would love it If Dollar Tree Sponsored us. Alas, that doesn’t seem to be the case for any UA-cam channel. Thanks for watching and for the comment
I’ve Been watching you a lot since we bought our camper 😊 I bought the over the cabinet towel holder from Dollar Tree and I can not get the rod apart?? Maybe they redesigned it? I love this idea though.
ohh was that a bamboo utensil holder??? might have to see if ours has that.. just bought a 'server' for my kitchen for the bus, need one of those expansion holders..Thanks for the link!
Lol the trash can liner thing is a false internet trend- there is no benefit. It’s not how the liners are “supposed” to be used. There is no inside out- manufacturers have stated there’s no right or wrong way. But otherwise, great tips!
I cannot see the links that you put “right up here”. Could you please include those in your description. I use a regular laptop, not the UA-cam app; that might be the difference.
Your Dollar Tree always seems more stocked than ours. I love, love, love your videos. We have an RV and we have pullout drawers in our pantry and I'm having trouble organizing them so I'm wanting to put regular shelves in it and have a small walk-in pantry. I would still have plenty of shelf space and then gain wall space as well.

I gave up halfway through the video. Not only does it feel like you do an organizational video every fifth video, but you suggest a different best way of doing things every time. It’s starting to feel like you’re just trying to add up videos and not necessarily giving your top suggestions. For example, in a recent organizational video, you said to use soft sided bags in the cupboards because they squish. Now, you’re suggesting hard storage. What happened to the benefit of squishing? Also in a recent video, you showed us how to roll up towels and use zip tied napkin holders to keep them in the cupboards. Now, again, we’re back to baskets. And I’m not sure why you’re even storing towels, because in yet another not that long ago video, you showed us how microfiber towels are better to use and how to store THEM. I get that different people will like different things so showing a variety is good, but it’s the repeats and the contradicting “game changers” that are concerning. Are you hoping that we buy everything you show (on commission) and then rebuy the new suggestions again and again? I’m sorry I sound so cranky. It just seems like all my favorite channels have become formulaic and care more about income than great content. I’m unsubscribing from more and more. Please don’t make me leave here, too.
Thanks for the feedback! In organizing I find sometimes thing evolve I’m what does and doesn’t work best for us (and for others). We hope to our viewers some “food for thought” when it comes to a variety of topics.
Sorry someone gave a “cranky” reply. I just found you and I am binge watching your videos today and loving them. People can pick which ideas work best for them. Thanks for posting these hacks. Loving them. 😍
Don't put banana and appletogether they will get spoiled fast .. natural oils from appleskin teact with banana. Keep them separetly and non ofthem keep in fridge.
I got an RV a few weeks ago, don’t have a dollar tree in Australia but I’ve made all your hack work from Kmart and ikea! Thank you for giving me amazing content to use!
I see there are Daiso stores in Australia. When I’ve visited Japan I found many items for my RV in Daiso. Most everything is designed for smaller spaces. There are also stores in California and Hawaii- so jealous! (Daiso is one of the Japanese dollar-type stores, but really, really good).
ALL hacks are great, but I am finding that all DT's are not the same . I need the metal expandable towel holder and in the way you showed it, so my hunt continues. I wonder if it's on DT's home site ? Love, love the spring baskets. Thank you for sharing..
Great storage tips…I use DT products in our home, scrap room and RV--luv them…..I do have a question: what are you using to keep your pictures up on the RV walls?
Y’all are hands down the best with the organization ideas!!!! Thank you for always sharing them for us who sometimes can’t see those creative ways! I am always reorganizing our 5th wheel to try and maximize our tiny home on wheels! Thank you❤❤❤
First time watching your videos. You did a great job and kept my attention the whole time, which doesn’t happen often! We're going on a 2 month trip soon and I need all the storage help I can get. I loved your wooden basket above your nightstand. What did you use to attach it to the wall? Thanks, and I'll definitely be watching more of your videos!
Really love these organization videos. Alot of useful tips. Noticed your air fryer, what brand is it? Looking for a smaller one for rv. Thank you again
I have a spot right by my bunk where my son in law plans to screw a basket to the wall. I read myself to sleep so I can put my e reader and glasses in it before I doze off. That way I don’t have to search for my glasses in the morning and they are less likely to get scratched.
Those broom holders come in white and black at Dollar Tree...the black ones are in the garden section and the white ones are in the broom section.
If you have a class A motor home, you shouldn't really have a storage problem. You might have too much stuff. Some of your ideas will help those like us with small travel trailers, thanks.

They can he great for other items! I also use them to keep plastic bags from the grocery store that I use as trash can liners
Always love your hacks. I did not know about the garbage bags. I looked at my bags and now am putting it in the basket the correct way. Thank you.

Paper or cardboard boxes attract bugs, spiders and mouses. That's why we prefer plastic boxes especially for RVs.

I love the variety of tips so I can pick & choose what works for me.
Don't put banana and appletogether they will get spoiled fast .. natural oils from appleskin teact with banana. Keep them separetly and non ofthem keep in fridge.
Good to know!
Yall still have K Mart?
@@achevres i wish we had a Daiso
@@cynthiacrawford6147 No!
Shower bags are great. We got some YEARS ago from LL Bean, and they are holding up like gangbusters.
If the trash bag fits loosely in the bin twist one corner to tighten it and then tuck it under the rim.
👍🏻
ALL hacks are great, but I am finding that all DT's are not the same . I need the metal expandable towel holder and in the way you showed it, so my hunt continues. I wonder if it's on DT's home site ? Love, love the spring baskets. Thank you for sharing..
Same. The $ tree in my town doesn’t have much. I have to go out of town to find things and sometimes still can’t find them.
Great storage tips…I use DT products in our home, scrap room and RV--luv them…..I do have a question: what are you using to keep your pictures up on the RV walls?
They are mixtiles and have an adhesive strip on the back
Hey y’all. I hope you’re having a super great weekend. Take care…
Y’all are hands down the best with the organization ideas!!!! Thank you for always sharing them for us who sometimes can’t see those creative ways! I am always reorganizing our 5th wheel to try and maximize our tiny home on wheels! Thank you❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much! Best wishes and safe travels
Really love these organization videos. Alot of useful tips. Noticed your air fryer, what brand is it? Looking for a smaller one for rv. Thank you again
This is the air fryer that we have. It’s been great! amzn.to/3xf9LQY
I have a spot right by my bunk where my son in law plans to screw a basket to the wall. I read myself to sleep so I can put my e reader and glasses in it before I doze off. That way I don’t have to search for my glasses in the morning and they are less likely to get scratched.
Nice!
Thanks for the tips! We just bought a motorhome last week so these ideas are perfectly timed as we start to pack it up.
Yay! Safe travels!
Another awesome video. I’m getting a lot of great information for the new c class I bought yesterday. Love seeing the Bloopers, my current struggles 😂
Thanks for watching
Some great tips. Loved the trash bag hack.
