My favorite tip to share is to carry a mini tape measure & small notebook w/measurements of spaces you're trying to fill w/bins or other storage pieces. This has saved me SO much time & hassle, plus all space is far better utilized. I'm not constantly playing Tetris trying to find the best fits for everything. =)
Before going bin-crazy, it’s a good idea to make a master list of the spaces you have and what you are planning to keep where. It will save you trips to return things that “almost” work
Lmao!!!! In your video when you asked "who are you waving at?" And he replied and showed us that he was waving at himself!!! Lol and without a second thought he waved in the mirror I automatically waved back lol
Wow! My Husband would have never gone to so many stores on the same day. My Sister gave me the clear egg holder and we hit a huge pothole, went airborne, and most of the eggs cracked! I use the cartons they come in now. Also, that rabbit was a cat. Ha ha. I made plastic canvas bins for the open shelf above our bed. It is on the curved front of the RV and I was able to make them a custom shape.
My wife found things from harbor freight tools as well for our RV. I regularly buy garbage tools I from there so I'll have random tools. I even keep spare trailer tires so I can replace and repair tires on the side of the road. Working previously for a a truck repair shop, I changed many RVs, trailer tires as well as 18 wheelers. It definitely helps and saves you money as well as a good air compressor to put air in your RV tires
So many great ideas, Charity, thank you! I didn't realize some of the organizational storage that some of these stores have. Especially like the wooden bins that you attach to walls next to the bed, very useful!
LOVE SHOPPING WITH YOU! Saves me a ton of money. I get to see all the cool stuff but since I'm not physically present & really tempted, I don't buy! 🤩🤩 Not an RVer, but live in a mobile home and trying to declutter. Your storage tips are great.
I love all your shopping trips and ideas of where to shop and things to get for storage. I do prefer bins for the fridge to have holes in them for more circulation throughout the fridge which is important especially for RV fridges. .
Charity, love your organization ideas. I so totally agree with your assessment of the Dollar Tree...it is sensory overload for me when a store is like that. I walked out of one because it was worse than the one you were in. You could barely walk down an aisle. Now for the fun stuff. I outfitted our first camper at Ross and Marshall's. Amazingly affordable, good quality items. The camper had a lot of closet type storage space. I used the hanging cloth shelves for linens and underware. Had to sew a fabric strip the length of it, then put strips of velcro down the other side to make a "door" to keep things in on travel days. I used one of the plastic drawer units for all my kitchen things because there weren't any drawers in the camper. On travel days, I used small bungee cords diagonally across them to keep them closed. Our current camper has large cabinets over the kitchen, and I used the wire shel es, too. The legs are connected across the bottom from front to back. I anchored them down with electrical cable clamps so they stay put since the cabinets are deeper than the shelves are wide. I put bins on top, and nothing moves during flight. Thank you so much for all of your shared knowledge.
1:40 I bought that rug at TJ Maxx for my Florida 5th wheel and put it in front of the (gas) fireplace where it won't get dirty. It was love at first sight.
I have those gray rope soft sided baskets in 3 sizes. 3 for me, 3 for my man. They hold our clothing in cabinets above our bed. Such great organization. Got them at TJ Maxx & Ross.
the baskets your parents use under the cabinets are really cool! Also, your bottle hangers and bedside caddies. I still live sticks and bricks, but in the future (once my kid is older) I'm going to be getting an RV and living full time. It will just be me and my dog, but I have some mobility issues, so learning how to keep everything super tidy and organised is sending me to my happy place! I actually have a question. I'd love to see what cleaning hacks you use to help keep everything nice. My dog is a German Shepherd, so I'll be getting a roomba at the very least, but I'd love to see what little routines you have.
This is so helpful. We're moving into our motorhome full time and hitting the road next month. I'm excited to see your other organization videos. Thank you!
Could I (Rick) ask about organization in the outside bay too? I am constantly trying to find the right combination for my bays on the outside of our class c. I am constantly trying to find easier way to get to my tools or odd ball items or liquids. Also things, besides totes that might be easier to put all of the sewer and fresh water stuff ( not together please LoL)
Mesh drawstring laundry bags and duffel bags and depending on what size storage you have locking lid cans from behrens or others tractor supply and hardware stores carry them sometimes pet stores for pet food or charcoal or general dry storage galvanized does release toxins when heated and you can't weld on it because of that but galvanized cans hold up really well for hoses (even if it says dry storage only many can be found with or fitted with lids or you can fashion mesh over top with bungee or whatever you might like even adding a wooden or plastic lid lots of different sizes at different stores of galvanized tubs you can use them however 😀 and not have to worry about them rusting you can even do your laundry in them 😉
We appreciate all the helpful tips and tricks. I think TJ Max will be our next stop. We're currently on the hunt for drawers/ shelves for our travel trailer closets. Suggestions are needed and welcome. Love the channel!!!
Marshall’s is a great place to find Dr Bronners wash at a great discount. I get the lavender but my favorite is Sandlewood, very difficult to find at discount.
Oh my gosh! I just love Ross. You can find so many inexpensive items that are gems to find. Thanks for this video , I’m so glad I found your channel..😊 Lisa ( The Wingman’s wife)
For the weaver basket drawers don’t put anything heavy on them. I did that and one of the tops to mine is sinking into the drawer. Also pick them up from the bottom at the tops can come off.
I am new to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc. Where I used to live those stores were not well stocked. I will take a trip through the ones that are in my new state. Thank you for taking us through the tour.
How do you organize a bedroom closet in a trailer where it is rounded in the very back? Do you build shelves instead of stacking everything? Love you videos, I even have my husband watching them.😍😊
Love your videos. We are new to camper living. But I was so proud of myself. We recently redid our bedroom closet at home. I had leftover fabric dresser organizers for socks/underwear. I used those leftover organizer in the camper pantry for drinking glasses and food such as spice packets, pam, pancake syrup and boxes of stuffing mix, etc... works really well.
Love ur videos. I just moved into my tiny house. N am trying to organize n purge my stuff. Most if ur ideas n hacks work in my 420sqfoot house. I built about 80 feet larger than planned because I became disabled using a wheelchair. O need clearance fir my chair. Please keep putting videos out.
When we stocked up our current camper, I went to a local shopping center that has TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and HomeGoods all in one place. I also got some final lettering quotes at Hobby Lobby. We have “Not all who wander are lost” on the side of our TT.
FABULOUS!! I have taken many of your tips and tricks and they are amazing! I live full time in my RV and soft sided bins are a must, I store shoes, meds, and shower needs under my bed I can cram a lot of stuff under there
I’m looking for drawer and cupboard liners. I just removed all my old ones which had adhesive attached. They were old and a gunky mess and took along time to remove. Hoping u have a great recommendation. Thank you, Heather
Oh my gosh! These are the locations I shop! I work at the Hunt club Publix. Maybe will run into you one day! . I'm definitely getting one of those collapsible colanders and the Hobby Lobby crates for next to the bed. I have quite a bit of medication that I take on a daily basis and having it at my bedside is a big help for me to remember to take all of them. Thank you for these great tips! Appreciate you guys!
Hi! Not an RVer, I just watch a lot of videos like that & this video came up as a suggestion. Commenting because I never thought about the collapsible colander. I plan to get one soon because you showed that. I only have a regular one. 👀
We so shop like you!! 😂 I love this reasonably priced item for the RV…white🙄🙄🙄 but some many great deals Home Goods, Ross, Hobby Lobby, Dollar store… Great job and sad to see you both out of RV Unplugged!!
Oh also incase no one knows Dollar General has an app and every Saturday if you spend $25 or more you get a $5.00 off coupon to use you enter your phone number on the debit card reader at store and it will automatically take it off once cashier hits the total button but it’s SATURDAY’S ONLY some of those store have groceries as well. Family Dollar does the same $5.00 deal as Dollar General so y’all know. Another thing it’s kinda like Big lots where she said you may find an item and then a week later it may not be there
The Dollar General stores near me are always stacked with inventory to put out and messy aisles. I love the collapsible items but rately would need a collapsible hamper. We always have dirty clothes, even just the 2 of us.
Get some paper n draw out a template if the space u need to fill. N u can GI extra n d I height. Thus way u will get exactly want u need. N ur space will all be utilized
I start at Big Lots and then hit up TJ Max/Home Goods. I just picked up outdoor rug at Big Lots 25% off. They also have great selection of Solar lighting and table cloths this time of year.
A lot of these suggestions won't work in our cabinets: ours have a 3" lip on them, to keep things from falling out. Thus, if you put in a wire shelf, the bottom space is inaccessible. We use the Sterlite containers to coral stuff in some cases. Also, using a round storage container leaves a lot of empty space around it: in a corner, or up against a wall, it results in lost storage space around the corners. I also note that the open top storage containers with built-in handles may in a lot of cases be more useful than the ones that have a top: going to get a bunch!
Hello, I’ve watched many of your videos and I’m trying to find the video of your shower caddy,s you bought for your family. They zip up and hold all your personal items.

I heard you say you would show how your parents use the metal baskets other than the little idea of using the handles to hang them or was that the only one ?
Hey there, thanks for watching. A SUPER common misconception about our RV is the cost. Our RV is in fact almost 20 years old, we paid cash for it 4 years ago and it was no where NEAR 100k in price.

I do this too. That way I know if things I buy will fit in those spaces.
If you are RVing on a budget you can NEVER go wrong with Goodwill or your favorite local thrift store. ❤

You can roll up the rugs take them to a car wash and wash them really easy & lay it over the side of the truck or the hood to dry
Good to know!
@@GratefulGlamper I’ve done it with 8 x 10 area rugs from my living room they’ve come out nice and dry in a day
I go to TJ Maxx / Marshalls / HomeGoods all the time for RV items. Love finding items I didn't know I needed!! Safe travels!
I really enjoy watching your RV organization videos. All your ideas translate really well into a sticks and bricks home too.
Dollar General “stressing out your OCD heart cracked me up!” Seems like most Dollar Generals have that effect on me!
Oh man, clutter and chaos I swear raises my heart rate, lol. Thanks for watching

I would be very interested in the brackets your parents are using
All the stores I like to shop at. But haven’t shopped at hobby lobby in a while myself.
What length screw do you use to screw the little nightstand crate into an RV wall?
3/4 inch
HomeGoods also has a huge selection of the clear plastic fridge bins.
Charity is the Bin queen😊 you have the RV storage stuff down pat.

I love shopping for RV storage items at Home Goods.
Wish we had those prices in Canada

If we’re not full-time RV’ers and would store our motorhome in the winter, would you still recommend soft sided storage containers? I’d be more inclined to get plastic in case of moisture…?
We have a place here called The Container Store. Not sure if all states have it or not. It can be pricey but my OCD is in heaven in that store.
Love the container store!
The clamps you said your parents used to hang their baskets? Could you share a link for those? I used the link in the description and it is a totally different clamp with a qty of 200. The clamps in the video appear to be copper colored and look like a clamp. I'd appreciate seeing if these unique clamps are available. I tried to find such a thing a few months ago. Thanks so much.
The copper colored handles are part of the baskets themselves
Rugs at Ross. A great idea. Thx
Love your videos… but can you tell me more about your bag? Is it a Kavu?
