Always appreciate your videos. How did you make out with Iam Hurricane? Can you tell me what to get. I need 2 chairs to sit under my canopy of my rv. I usually sit outside and read.. Also any recommendation about a rocking chair too. Ps. They need to fold. I really don't want to buy a chair that I will regret. And you guys have been rving for a while so I am sure you've figure it out. Thanks
I know you live full-time in an RV but I am AMAZED at your ability to get out of Ikea with 1 bag! I cannot leave without a cartful! My whole RV has been Ikeaized. My whole small pantry has those containers. My best Ikea find are the Jonaxel slide drawers and frame. We mounted them in our closet as we do not have a dresser in our bedroom.
With clear ones you can slip a picture of your choice down inside the sides to indicate what's inside or to create a decorative "table" next to the bed, as a mini coffee table.
Saving this for the future, in hopes of one day revamping something to be my dream home away from home. But also some of the storage options you showed would be great as I start a room makeover to reduce my physical footprint in the room to have more space for crafting.
One pro-tip when you live from a van or trailer is using ikea bags for hauling around laundry. Much more convenient than a hamper and stores away so small when folded. Ad in winter they sell the ‘vinterfint’ version which is a scandinavian christmas decor version which I totally love.
I love some of the storage items you are discovering for RVs. We have lived in RVs since the middle 1990s and love it. One thing we have found to help with storage like seasonal clothing, bedding, etc is we use vacuum bags, where you store things and use your vacuum to retract out the extra air and therefore have a lot of room to store. I have a crochet hobby and end up accumulating a lot of yarn and these vacuum bags work great for that too. Thanks for the IKEA tour to help with RV storage. Looks like better quality than the Dollar Tree storage bins, etc.
So i keep those zip bags that sheets or curtains or blankets come packaged in. Cheaper than the zippered bags from ikea! I have the stainless steel round organizer in my house, to hold cutlery! They are perfect for that…. My camper van has teensy storage areas, so i need shallow bins. Hard to find those.
I have a really tiny bathroom that I only have room for the contour rug that goes in front of the toilet, and it's actually perfect! I vacuum it before I get into the shower because who wants to step out of a shower onto a sandy rug? It's a memory foam rug that I got on Amazon...
I found a little wood 5”x3” flat with angle grooves on each side… it’s a stand for phones! Two different size slots/grooves and I LOVE IT!! I used it all over the house and RV.. the next time I was at IKEA I bought two more! Now the RV , home upstairs each have one!!! (Don’t remember the name )
I have them too. One side is slender, the other groove is thicker and I use both. One works great for my iPhone in its case, and I use the skinny one for my iPad.
One of my most favorite purchases at IKEA is the milk frother for 2.99 It turns ordinary coffee into extraordinary! Just heat your milk or cream of choice for about 15-30 sec in the microwave and froth it. Pour over your coffee. Yum
Walmart has a 6ft (blue and a grey) extention cord with 3 plugs AND two USB ports. Go to electronic section and not with the other cord area.About $10.00
IKEA had, and may still have, a black flexible "dishpan" with cutout handles... I have two and they have literally had a dozen uses since we started prepping for living on our sailboat
Well, that was fun! Thanks for taking me along. I don't live near an IKEA but I do shop in the online store and already have (and love) some of the items you showed. Still, there are some things that are only available in the store and it is more fun to have the actual in-store IKEA experience.
I have a shoe hanger with 24 spots hanging on the outside of the bathroom door. It keeps the shoes from cluttering the entryway. So useful! I also use plastic bins in my pantry to keep things organized even while travelling.
I love those bath mats and the bigger one like it. We keep them on the bed in front of our doors (we have a teardrop). Our golden retriever has been known to get wet while camping. 😊
The Mala-Case is loved by my autistic son. When we went to restaurants we always took something to draw with us so the children were occupied and did not annoy other people there. Now this little guy is 11, takes it everywhere with him and draws better than most adults. He puts it on his lap and doesn't need a desk but can draw wherever he sits. He can even draw when he sits on the floor.
I purchased the HULTARP rail, hooks, container and magnetic knife rack. Installed the rails in the kitchen and used the hoos to hang spice racks by the stove. Now I don't have to pack them up on travel days
Nice tour. I have wanted to go there for a very long time. Fun and practical, like the Swedes themselves. By the way, "j" is pronounced as "y" in Swedish. That tray you picked up that said "hej" on it is pronounced "hey." So indeed, "fejka" is "fayka" (fake.) 😁🇸🇪
Large Ikea bags (or the big Marshalls totes) are awesome for small space living where you need to take your laundry somewhere. Much safer vs a laundry basket
off rv topic .. i got an electric plate warmer tray from thrift store.. gas & electric co had to shutoff the natural gas on our street to replace the main.. plate warmer tray turned out to have a high setting enough to toast the hamburger roll .. with no gas i put a pot on the 'warmer' with chili & veggies... worked perfectly
the big parkla with the handles .. great for coats . blankets etc.. hanging from hook ... more space saving than hard cabinets ! also the underbed parklas no hard edges ..
The “rinse bin” you found looks VERY interesting! Ikea’s side-cut-down bins just were NOT what I wanted for my craft supplies, but the rinse bin might be an alternative.
I take a Dimpa bag with me in my carry-on when flying somewhere. If I acquire stuff on the trip and can't fit it all into the carry-on on the way back I can use the Dimpa bag as a checked bag. They're seriously strong.
thank you! I am going to be starting SUVrving life in the spring and Ikea is on my list to shop. I love that place! Do you know the camping overnight rule for their parking lot? just curious. thanks!
Had to laugh when you showed the desk. In my van, I needed a small desk for a counter as well as open underneath to keep litter box for my cat. Desk is exact width I needed! Perfect!!!
You both are just too funny. Love the video. I've only been to IKEA once in Phoenix. I was so overwhelmed. It was our first year RVing. Now we are going onto year 4 of our RV life and can't wait to go back to IKEA.
Hello.... I thnk tat we are 'kindred spirits'!! Really enjoyed this first visit to your channel.... I think I'm going to find some great iseas for my Suzuki Super Carry Micro Camper Project!! LOve from the UK.... xx
I live for those plastic bins. I RV full-time now for the last 3 months and tried everything, then when I got something similar to these from the dollar store, I literally slapped myself saying “how did you not think of these before”? 🤦♂️ Oh and by the way…I give credit when credit is due…I got that idea from a previous video you released, so thank you! 😬 Happy travels and would love to run into you guys on the road one day! Be safe!
The huge clear zippered bag with handles, I use to store pillows and bedding when not using our trailer. 4 standard pillows fit comfortably in them. We are very part time RVers. For now. I do have quite a few ikea products for our rv. Also, the under bed storage you use, I use in the trunk of our car. And store yarn in my house. I do like the bins from ikea more than dollar tree ones. They don't break like the DT ones do.
Dollar tree has priced itself out of a number of products I used to purchase there. 1.25 doesn't seem like a lot, but as I'm sure all of you have figured out, for every four items that's another dollar and it adds up quickly! The things I buy there now are the items that aren't necessarily cheaper per ounce but that I only want a very small amount of.
I love your channel and have taken so many of your tips and tricks into our small camper makeover. We are definitely not making the jump to full time RV life, but I still enjoy watching the simplicity and organization you share, and use many of those ideas in my small home as well! I do wonder, with inflation, rising crime rates, and food prices/scarcity becoming a bigger problem do you ever worry about safety on the road? Is there some way your family carries food storage or emergency items with you on the road?
My brother and myself are signing on a Class B Camper Van this next week and cant wait to hit the road. Y'alls videos have been great to give me ideas.
Love your Ikea videos as a Swede! Fejk is actually pronounced exactly like fake because we just took the english word and changed it to Swedish spelling. :) We do that with a lot of words.
I live 20 minutes from IKEA . I went there a few days ago. I wish I would have watched your video first. I got some great buys though and I didn't have to feel justified. The low price deals are amazing and since I'm an expert when it comes to the DT, DT does work but IKEA wins! I need to coin that statement! Thanks for sharing!
I live all the items you showed us today. Makes me want to hop in the car and go to IKEA! I really like the artificial plants! Thanks for sharing your Ikea favorites!
a couple more items to add to the list, the slatted bed base ( for Diyer's) and the small combined travel clock/alarm/temp 'cube' very inexpensive and compact.

I just watched your video sitting in the IKEA parking lot, needing some ideas for my RV. LOVE your ideas! Thanks!
Awesome, thanks for watching!
You are the undisputed QUEEN of RV organization. Love what you do and how you do it. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!

That Mala thing in the kids' section is also good for adults who journal and/or plan or draw.
Mala=måla=paint!

Love the bucket hat, gotta run to Tampa & pick one up. Love y'all's tips.
I hope Ikea should make a universal plugs/extension cord too. It will help a lot for people who travel international

Hello how are you doing?
Hi from sweden :) loved your tour and yes, Fejka means Fake. And sommarvind means summer breeze. Keep up! :)
Ah, good to know. Thanks for watching
‘Lamplig’ Bamboo wood stove top board. Covers stove perfect gives more counter space.
My gosh, thanks for traipsing around IKEA for us. I get tired just thinking about it. The food, yeah, I can do that, no assembly required.
love those plants you chose!
Nice RV LIVIN’ finds. 😊
Thank for the link I'm ordering now Merry Christmas 🌲 or happy holiday whatever is he celebrate

Lmao. I was embarrased when I bought the kiddie plates, cups & utensils😂 Im not embarrased anymore thanks to you
Thanks 😊 for the education!😜🤪😎🤓😏
I have one of those mala drawing cases and I use it for urban sketching! Very very convenient! I am also a full-time RV-er.
Me too!
The ‘shoe’ Parkla is great for handbag/purse storage, too

i love my Lovas bed/couch for the tiny house!
Thank You so much for this video, it's so helpful to hear how you stay organized in your RV home
I’ve never been in one of those stores but now that you showed me all the good deals I will seek out looking for them.
Flexible cutting boards for th3 kitchen are a must!

Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I have purchased large Ikea bags before for reselling. They are useful for carrying groceries, etc too!
But now I think I need the hat to keep my hair dry!

For sure!
My brother and myself are signing on a Class B Camper Van this next week and cant wait to hit the road. Y'alls videos have been great to give me ideas.

I was just in ikea yesterday and tried the bucket hat on. I was tempted to purchase it. It was 4.99 where I was. And the cinnamon bun was delicious!

Yes they do!
Aaaah! I LOVE THAT HAT!!!
a couple more items to add to the list, the slatted bed base ( for Diyer's) and the small combined travel clock/alarm/temp 'cube' very inexpensive and compact.
I bought an rv without furniture and ikea was my first go to for that, two nice recliners super fit in the space!
I had to get the Ikea hat at my last visit just because my kids tease me about my love for Ikea. That place is awesome!
Hey, that is my ikea, I get there maybe 2 times when I am down in Florida for 5 months.
We don't have an Ikea store near us so I have never been in one. Looks like a place I would enjoy shopping in. Maybe we will get to go some day. Would love to find some things for our 5th wheel.

Real plants clean the air
We hung out 2 separate trips at IKEA outfitting our new RV. Buy try and return or buy more. And we ate there too!
we are going to ikea soon. going to be looking for some of these items for our RV xxxx
