Enabling and Disabling Honda Ridgeline Automatic High Beams

In this video I show you the step by step directions on how to enable or disable your auto high beams. I turned on my truck one day and the auto high beams were off and so I had to turn them back on.

That must've changed with later models. With my 2023 Ridgeline, I only have to pull back on the lever for a second or two to disable auto high beams. Is there any way to permanently disable that stupid-assed auto engine shutoff feature? I guess I should be happy that I have the option to shut it off at all.

Ahhh that would explain a lot. I like to hold down my high beam switch (hilly roads) so I must of been toggling it on and off this entire time. Thanks for the video!

Thank you. Does this have to be reactivated each time you re-start the truck or does it stay off? For example the idle /engine stop has to be reactivated each time you get in.

No, this should permanently keep it off until you enable it again.

I have a 2017, you don't have to do this! When driving, if you just flash your high beams it will turn on the auto high beam!
Flash again to turn them off.

After watching a few of these. I am curious if you know how to disable the the integrated gps. Nothing against the factory gps, I always just liked using my own which I can transfer to different vehicles.
