Actually The Chin did meet certain associates that were big money makers, like Pete Savino in the Windows case who turned on Chin and became his downfall. He testified against Chin in 1997 in court through a satellite connection, because he was dying from cancer. He died some weeks after he testified against Chin.
Different era and the way people were makes a big difference than today.

Mafia 1 isnt really about cosa nostra seen to the structure, its more a gangster-crew.
