which really draws my attention is how he adapts to the situation and in a way mirrors the guest's behaviour. f.e, michael keeps saying "patrick" in the midst of speaking so patrick does that too, (saying michael's name). he is very socially aware and that shows.

@Carolynn Markiewicz I 100% believe God had His hand in this man's life. The Mafia life is a corrosive life, but a life with God and Christ as number 1 is the best life. I am thankful I never went into this business and I''ve seen how God has saved many people out of the organized crime/drug business world. It's a true blessing to know that Jesus loves each of us so much that He went to the Cross and died for us sins so that we may not have to suffer in Hell and try to justify our transgression. That's our amazing God above. May God has mercy on us.

@@Ryan-iw3dj It's not that we don't sense sarcasm. It's that this guy is now a Christian and more so, a follow of Jesus. This guy went from highest paid mob boss to a man who is serving in ministry. That's a big change.

I love how he keeps calling his interviewer by name. "Well, I'll tell you this Patrick" or "You know what happened Patrick, was.." He's not just doing an interview, he makes you feel like he's talking to you, just you, directly. It is the kind of thing that makes people feel important, and its a subtle power move. The interviewer already admires him but he is gaining respect out of him by making the interview feel personal. You get the feeling that he would talk to anyone like that. A random store clerk, a mailman, a child. You always remember people who remember your name. He makes you want to be interested in him because he is showing he is interested in you. It is no wonder he got to where he was in the life and one of the few people to make it out. Knowing business is one thing but knowing business and knowing people and people's behavior will take you so much further. Fascinating person.

This is a very informative video. Prior to watching this I had the impression that HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATIONS (HOAs) were exactly like mafia money skimming operations. Now I know that there are at least three basic differences:
1: People volunteer to join the mafia. HOAs force homeowners to join.
2: The legal system actively goes after mafia gangsters. The criminal gangsters on HOA boards also skim money from the homeowners, but the legal system does not investigate them.
3: The process to move up in the mafia involves murdering their political opponents. People move up on HOA boards by hiring dishonest corrupt management companies to count the votes. This ensures that only board members who do the bidding of the management companies get elected to the board of directors. The mafia system is more violent but at least the competing candidates are on a more equal footing.

This is EXACTLY how the us government has been run! Whether people love or hate Trump, he brought light to this fact for many of us.
Im from California and hated Trump, but I couldn’t argue with the logic he brought forth.
The mob/mafia holding power over individuals is the same as the us government holding power over politicians. If you’re not on board with the companies fixing the problems that the government is creating, you’re an enemy.
Opposing opinions are buried by corporations funding the problem so the government is able to subsidize “solutions”.

    confusing times:
    Trust the courageous ones.
    Truth requires courage.
    Courage requires fortitude.
    Truth requires integrity.
    Cowards tell lies.
    Cowards support liars.
    Telling a lie is easy.
    Believing a lie is easy.
    Being compliant is easy.
    Staying silent is easy.
    Trusting without thinking is easy.
    Thinking for yourself is hard.
Standing up for what is right is hard.
Being real & authentic is hard.
In times like these it takes all the courage
