Well welcome back Tom, i was wondering if "Covit" may have visited it's ugly self on you or some other nasty thing? but when i watched your other you-tube post a few hours ago you answered my concerns, so i was relieved that there was NO serious problems. On water & covers to use on Scooters or Motorised Wheelchairs (i use both) you can purchase from the local Aldi Store (here in Australia, i suppose the same everywhere) premium quality B-B-Q covers from time to time in either 2, 4, or 6 burner sizes (it depends on the size of scooter) and i have found them to be excellent value $20.00 - $25.00 Aussie Dollars. I operate a Scooter rental company around Disneyland. I encounter this type of problem all the time. I usually check the forecast and install a large shower cap over the steering and tiller. I had one service call 🤙 and the guests ignored my warning about the 💦 Warning. However I traded out the scooter and I took the entire tiller apart.... blew out the water. From my experience the long term undermining issues are rust issues as specially with the Speed Pot! I am trying to come up with a idea 💡 about having something permanent over the tiller steering area. If you have any ideas please share! I plan on opening up another location in Disney World by Orlando Florida where it rains a lot! Thank you for sharing!
Hi there. Yep can be a bigger when water gets in. We do sell covers that go over the tiller they stretch over the handlebars etc but it does not help if customers remove them. Lol 😂 we do one where the customer has to put there hands through a hole mind you that keeps them warm as well not that would be an issue in Orlando
Very clever man, love these informative videos.. I wish you lived near me. I've had an occasional problem looked at locally, I feel the engineer doesn't actually know what's happening. I've been given different wild quotes. I will be trying elsewhere.
hi mate any help appreciated. rascal ventura. when pull throttle motor spins but wheels wont go. also you can push it like its in freewheel !!! weirdly it will reverse (well it did when i tried it) any ideas thanks Dave
Can you do a video on the Eden roadmaster plus mine goes fast slows down jerks won’t slow down at the kerb motors make a grinding noise it had a new motor fitted last April
We towed an acid Cooter C3 about 5 mph for 2-3 miles Periodically it would seem to lock up but then coast again. Trying to turn it on after charging over night we get a e Rr03 code which is a short to the motor. I have not checked all the electrical connections because it’s brand new. If we don’t get a technician soon I’m going to have a look. Any ideas as to what it might be? Ty
Hi got vista dx scooter and has problem with charge point had it in a shop they have found out its had water in it before I bought it the controler has got water in blown I have to charge it thought the battery pack are these controler unit expenses to buy

Hi, do you give advice on where to get parts? I have a mini crosser x1 3 wheeler, there is an intermittent flashing telling me there is a controller issue and, the manual brake release to push the scooter isn't working. But most of the time, the scooter powers on and works fine. There is only 1 company that support the repairs in Bristol, but none locally in Wales. The callout and transport fees are too much, I'd be happy to replace parts, but cannot source them and the service people in Bristol will not supply parts without fitting. Any help appreciated :)
hi. ive recently put some new tyres on my shoprider traveso mobility scooter and on the one front wheel the bolt keep's on coming loose all the time whenever i go out on it. why does the bolt keep on coming loose all the while ? i keep on tightening the bolt up tight but it still keep's on coming loose. what is the problem please. the scooter had grey smooth tyres on it but i brought 4 new tyres for all of the 4 wheel's as black unsmooth chunky tyres. Hi tom are you familiar with jjs scooters ? Got fully charged batteries but no forward or reverse, when ignition switched on got 2 beep/flash codes 12 and 31 on a curtis 1210 controller and advise appreciated
@@paulwoodburn4474 the Curtis has a funny flash code it will flash twice in a special sequence. So flash a few times then a gap then flash again a few times usually with different flashes. So let’s say flash once then a gap and then 3 times. Or flash twice then gap then another few times or flash 3 times then again with a different amount of times. So please check again. Hii, I have a TGA Breeze S4 I must admit its an old model many times I use it to travel about 6 mile round trip because I can't park a car anywhere near to where I need to go and I can't walk the distance from where I can park a car. Whilst I'm traveling on the scooter I usually do it on its fast speed of 8mph however after a while the brakes come on and lock up the drive wheels, I give the scooter about 30 seconds to one minute and it's fine I travel some more at the same speed and it does this again, so, I put it into the slow mode 4mph and it works fine with no problems. I was wondering, could it be that the motor is overheating and this triggers the motor to shut off? I'm 20 stone, I had a leg injury which damaged my knee, this prevents me from walking. So I need this scooter I can't manage without it, so, can I pick your brains for a possible solution?

Ok then I recon your batteries are ok with that I mean the lights stay on etc. drawing too much current may cause this then the controller will shut down but I would of thought the circuit breaker would of released .. mmmm thinking lol. Ok then feel how warm / hot 🥵 the motor becomes. Does it’s always stop at the same amount of time (time yourself while driving at high speed). Now the not so good part check all wiring connections and this is a nightmare on a breeze S4. Maybe an issue with a connector at the back of the tiller Pcb could be tripping there. Very difficult to say. And I would say I’ve never heard of it. Let me know how you are getting on

Ah, just checked the controller which is called a Dynamic R series and the error code 8 is motor voltage issue. Just checked all the wiring and connections and they are all good so I'm lost.
cable from controller to motor is fine and shows motor resistance 1.0ohms . As there is no error code listed for controller maybe the controller faulty and not putting voltage out to motor

@@RetroMods the controller will have different software installed you can damage the motor etc. make sure you take the old controller together with the new one and get a dealer to transfer the software. It’s. A 10min job

Hello from the Azores Islands.. I was watching some of your vids but didn't see my problem, i have a citycoco 3 wheeler and just today it stoped moving. All the lights come on and has a full battery and i can hear and see the motor working in the speedometer but it does not move. Do you think the axle is broke??
talking about getting wet into a poodle and the scooter went dead i was thinking the bottom of the scooter was water proof but i found that it was not i ended up walking back home pushing the bloody thing bye the way the scooter i on about is a shoprider deluxe 4mph scooter love it to bits paid 100 pound for it could do a faster one thanks for your video and keep getting the great work you do

Could have blown the controller when towing it. It’s normal that it Lockes up that’s to prevent damage

The Bolt Alway's work's itself loose on it's own accord

Check motor is ok brushes etc.

There have been two types of controller fitted r series and s drive check all connections and if they are all ok could be a faulty controller.

sadly, i do not know that scooter looks like a chopper to me not used in the UK. but usually there is a linkage between motor and axle check that.
