In late July, I got the chance to run the incredibly tough and beautiful Buckin' Hell 50k Relay in Vancouver, BC - a race created by Gary Robbins & Geoff Langford.
Due to a recent knee injury, I was unable to run the full 50k, but rather opted to run the 50k relay with my buddy, Brice Ferre (briceferre.com/.... Such a great decision! It was SO MUCH FUN!

Had a TON of fun "running" the trails of North Vancouver in the recent Buckin' Hell 50k Relay w/ Brice Ferre! Our cumulative time was 7:14:48 - if that's any indication as to how gnarly this course is up & down!
What sunglasses are you wearing in the race?
Beautiful course and a great idea having both film. Having Ellie Greenwood on course, in a wig cheering people on basically sums up the fun and heart of ultrarunning. Nice work as always.

These videos are so fun! It's great to see something that focuses on the "friends having fun with each other" aspect of these kinds of events, when it's easy to lose sight of it in the shadow of the challenge.

I remember (it was only two weeks ago) running through Point Reyes, and it was my first day on the west coast and I hadn't yet met the woman I am now house sitting for for the next two months in Berkeley, and I ran by this enormous redwood in the most beautiful trails I've ever run on, and thought to myself that exact same thing in that exact same manner. Your exclamation made me laugh. Thanks for the beautiful videos. Diggin' the drone action too!

Loved this style of video from 2 peoples perspectives. Would love to see you and Kim do something like this. BTW, what shoes were you using? If your knees are aching, I've heard the Hokas are still the best. Using the Huaka myself.

I too need to make peace with a section of trail I rolled my ankle on while running. Won't be able to start my next trail series race because of it.

I have friends who make videos and they always complain about people who stay in shots because they know it will get them into the video. But this is a race, and people run at similar paces in races. I didn't think about that. That's my bad.
