Yup - I long suspected this. The Evoque seems to be all style and no substance (it really is a great looking car). Love Craig's humor and review style!

OK, it's not ready to cross the Sahara, but for what it is, it's fine (and expensive). That color combo is awesome though. Same as in the commercial. Love it.
That evoque is pretty dam sexy looking. Too bad driver leg room is small and compact, and price is way up there.

Wow that bulge under the seat is also in the Focus. I drove it once for a coupe of hours and it drove me nuts! Can't believe it made its way to such a luxury vehicle.

Man eat a sandwich
I like this reviewer and I enjoyed the review as always, but was hoping to see an offroad clip. Although I can understand if there were time constraints.
Bolmao! Yankee Candle was just right next door. Craig is funny.
- Ride comfort: 3/5; isn't the best. It's stiff most times and the seats are not even close to the comfort of BMW X5 or 535i
- Acceleration: 3/5, the turbocharged engine while delivering decent torque at pickup is weird in some cases where it doesn't respond. In sport mode sometimes the engine still makes noise as if I am accelerating whereas I wouldn't be doing that.
- Engine: 2/5; super noisy at low RPM's or low speeds, pretty much the car vibrates
- interiors: 5/5; the nicest car in looks and very user friendly
- Exterior: 5/5; is a sure head turner, beautiful.
- Cargo space: 1/5; tiniest :(
- Features: 4/5; plenty but still lags BMW's

This vehicle doesn't sell very well, and now I know why.
Turbo lag, tight space front and rear, and a sky high price, equal poor value for mall patrol.
I seriously don't know why Americans call pretty much every big car they see as trucks....

High boost threshold ≠ turbo lag. Come on AutoGuide. Good review besides that
I think a lot of reviewers know that, but don't say it because most viewers have no idea what that is. Everyone just assumes lag and the threshold are the same.

Really sad how there's still turbo lag on this car with it's 9-speed gear box. Give the thing small low gears for christ's sake. No need for 3 overdrive gears.

"regrettably it's blue oval bones show through like a compound fracture". care to extrapolate on that, or is it just that your foot hits the seat well and the dead pedal is too uncomfortable? because I have none of these problems with my wife's escape, and I wear a size 12. You can actually get all these features on an escape (save for adaptive cruise control) for $30k less, if you go with a mainstream brand (Ford again), which is why I'm confused about all the Ford bashing nowadays.
