The color difference is because of size. The small, medium, and large versions have deliberately different colors so as to be readily identified in industrial settings with multiple masks and users.
Why is my medium way more thicker grey sturdier, way more smelly rubber? I bought that several months ago and the small one recently which is whiter looking thin rubbery non smellier. Only the smalls fit me.
I think it doesn't matter chinese or original just the filters have to be original the respirator is just a thing that keeps you from breathing out of the filters and it doesn't matter it's an American one or chinese or a handmade. The most important thing is your health. So the filters is important and other things are an ocd like thoughts the difference just maybe the durability
I bought a 3m 7502 from eBay and it come from England where I live but still I thought it was fake, seller obviously said it was genuine but I don't trust anyone! Now I see these videos. Thanks
I have a Brazilian made 6300 mask (the larger version, 6100 is Small, 6200 is medium) and it came in a zip lock like these, but it is not fake. The package is all in portuguese and it is of good quality.
ty for confirming it's original, i bought the same respirator and i was worried that it might be fake, specially because the LOT number was printed on a sticker not the actual bag

South Korea also has a 3M facility!! So don't automatically assume it's fake because it doesn't match the "chinese 3m" standards.......it could be korean!!
The difference in color is normal. I bought a 3M small halfpeice and a 3M medium halfpeice from HomeDepot a while back. The small does have a lighter grey rubber to it and the medium version has a darker grey rubber to it. Not sure why either but totally normal.
Surely if the mask is replicated that's not the issue, the cartridges and vapor/ particulate filtration is the most important and I am sure China do fake cartridges as well. However, to make sure your protected get from a reputable source, especially the filters!
Huh, wasn't even aware that people would be scamming masks. I just could tell because I noticed something wrong with the front filter while playing with it. Good to know...
If the mask passes a vacuum test.....it's fine....But I wouldn't bet my LIFE on it(don't use for prepping)........but it's fine to use a fake mask for light chemicals or Painting, because you're Going to KNOW if it's leaking.......so no big deal!
@@TheModernSurvivalist I have the same one with bag and all. I contacted 3M just to make sure and they asked for some specific pictures. It was counterfeit. It looked so real and appeared genuine, but it wasn't.
@@TheModernSurvivalist no idea. They wouldn't specify. I'm sure they need to keep their security features and identifiers hidden. I'm just glad they were able to tell me it was counterfeit.

My thoughts exactly, even if the mask is replicated, the most important feature or aspect is the filtration and cartridges you use. Great point!

It could have been better if you presented a fake and real one. But you presented both original, though from different countries

What do you think about, buy a fake mask and using real filter...
still dangerous because you can never know if the one way valve will work properly
