- In this video I went over a few characters @SonicFox5000 used in Mortal Kombat tournaments and explained a little about what made their use with them so optimal! Talked about Cassie and Jason, Played at tournaments like ComboBreaker, Ceo, and Evo! Hope you enjoy!

As a Jacqui main, I know sonic was actually just messing up the stanky input when they were checking you with the knee.

@@dorktales254 it was Jacqui’s best normal move it’s input was ⭕️ ⬆️ ⭕️ but you had to put it in, in like half a frame, the failed version was just the knee.
I couldn’t hate on sonic. I still consider him the best fav player til this day. He isn’t known for one game franchise neither. Skullgirls, Dbfz, MK9, MKx, MK11, Injustice 1 and 2. Evo grandfinalist at the least with top placements in almost every tournament. He plays the meta because he’s flying all the way around the country trying to win every tournament he can. His understanding of the game is insane.
And don’t forget he’ll pull up with a main in MKx(Erron Black) and he’ll play your counter with ease (PLs 13-0 Katana vs Lao)
All you could do was glaze.
Maaaan I remember watching these sets live at the time, seeing this stuff again has me feeling some kind of way haha. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Slayer!

Well a lot of the old heads woulda stayed and MKX wasn’t released with player 1 having an advantage over player 2…
That has nothing to deal with what he said; Mkx is very unbalanced and unfun to many casual players; which makes it ironic when the exact same old heads who claim Mkx is peak, can't explain why it doesn't have the biggest player base still.@@Woody44
@@Synical02Well even the best characters depend on the skill of the players. The variation system was perfect. The roster was insane with the best variety and guest characters. You could argue duelist Liu Kang or Sonya Demo was so broken but who had the execution to pull it off in a real match unless you specialized in it

So let's actually talk about the variations.
That system was trash, and for most characters added little to no new gameplay or just made them worse to play a niche.
I think like 10ish character
All had variations that drastically changed the gameplay

SONICFOX finished 4th this year if not mistaken won 🏆 in multiple other games at this same combo breaker 😂 slayer finished tied for 9th overall I would be proud if I punched Batman or Floyd and won a round too

trilogy/umk3/mk3, mk1,mk9,mkX mk2, mortal kombat, mk4, mk11. in that order and none of the others matter

I never understood why people say sonic is the best he always uses the best and cheap characters in the games, so I don't see much skill like 11 he played lui mk1 he plays sindel and Lao like so much skill
There is plenty of other pro players that use those same "cheap" characters and haven't had the nearly the amount of success Sonic has had.
@Broughdow1 people who use the meta to get wins aren't winners in my book.. they don't have a true main, their main is whatever the meta is.. if they can beat the meta with a true main then that deserves respect
Sonic mained Batgirl in IJ1 (when the META was Zod, Martian Manhunter), mained Erron Black in MKX (when the meta was Mileena, Takeda but I'll give you this one cause Erron was pretty broke pre-nerf), mained Captain Cold and Joker (when they were literally considered some of the worst characters in the game, with him winning MANY tournaments causing people to change their minds about these characters),(also to mention the FINAL INJ2 pro series had Sonic beating Rewind in a Joker vs Batman match up and Batman was often considered a top 1 char by the end of INJ2, while Joker was considered mid-tier at best), and him playing Rain and putting him on the map in MK1's first ever pro comp (when the META was quite literally Raiden/Cyrax or Baraka/Cyrax). At this point, just say you're a hater bro cause at least with that you can be baseless

I noticed back in mk 11 every game sonic just figures out whose broken or op n how to abuse their kit in various ways and if they’re not broken or op sonic still finds some bs with em to abuse which I think is the scariest thing about Sonic they’re ability to find the bs in the game

Tbh Sonic spends a craaazy amount of time on MK, same with Ninja killa. The Pros know that dang near every character has sauce, and exploits, Sonic's just better at exploiting them lol
