Indeed hadhytana tono, fast thickening and sealing in a big pot with lots of heat and sun. The growing season in this location is from March to November. The phenology of these trees is such that they store alot of carbs in Autumn (hences the fast thickening). They don't need to leaf out until very late spring or early summer here if they are in the ground.
Easy wiring or directional pruning. Don't mind coastal or polluted environments. Ill have to get some footage of some street trees. They are naturally flat topped and somewhat weeping.
The only issues are, leaf size and root proliferation as far as I can see. Internodal distance does not seem to be much of an issue. They are compound leaves and can be held back convincingly by carefully pruning the leaves to shape in refinement.
The Brazillian rain trees have better potential if you want this fethered look. Or some of the Acacia genus, some have smaller compound leaves but they all generate nitrogen from the air via symbiotic bacteria so are strong growers. BRTs require slightly different conditions and are not as salt, frost and drought tolerant though.
The Royal Poinciana is certainly a magnificent tree for flowers though if you can get it to flower. The flowers are oversized for bonsai unless you have a hachi-uye or larger (more than a half meter in height). If you grow from seed though, I guess there is a chance you may find a small flower and leaf mutation.

I’ve read the tree has died 😢, such a pity! I have one planted on a big pot it’s about 60 cms tall! It will be my biggest bonsai, it is 4 years old

Ahh, this wasn't for bonsai. This was a landscape tree to be planted nearby for shade. The flowers are very large on these royal poinciannas. Also the leaves are large and don't reduce very well. Maybe becasue it is difficult to control nitrogen with the pea family. They make their own nitrogen with bacterial symbioses.

@@brigitterobert282 Je ne sais pas, mais vous pouvez acheter des graines par internet. Cela a poussé à partir d'une graine.
The flowers are normally true to seed so no need to graft these.

Isn't it planted too near the house?

If you keep it there yes. This is an accomodation block and the tree was due to be moved after this growing season in shelter. Unfortunately, someone moved it too early thinking that it wasnt a good position for it. This tree is now dead! 🤬 Trees this size are easy to move.
