Great info ! Simple and easy to understand ! Thanks for not BS-ing around, and having the info we actually NEED to do this. ( In too many UA-cam vids, people just blab on and ON about crap we don't care about !)
It really is the best way of propagation that I've tried, thank you for showing. 28/30 seeds that I've collected propagated after 3 days sharp, absolutely no problems For anyone who wants to do this, make sure that the humidity in the container is very high and do not touch the seeds before 3 day mark-they do not change much during this time
I ordered a bonsai tree grow kit and I planted all of the seeds. The flame tree was the only one to sprout. It’s been out of the soil for about 12 days now. I now know that this wasn’t the best way to start my gardening career lol. But I’m trying the best I can to keep my flame tree alive. I feel very relieved just finding this video and seeing all of your replies to other comments!! So I was wondering if I could ask a few questions: I bought my seeds from a bonsai kit, am I growing a miniature tree or something like you have that grew very tall? I always make sure the soil to my tree is wet and I have a grow light on my tree for about 12 hours through out the day and it sits indoors by a well lit window. But, I’m noticing that the tips of the bigger leaves on the bottom of the plant are turning yellow, am I doing something wrong? Is this a sign of unhealthiness in my plant? Thank you in advance for any time you may spend on a response! 🙂
I'm no expert here, and I have never grown bonsai or used grow lights. "am I growing a miniature tree...?" There are no *special* bonsai tree seeds, they're all just normal seeds, so you are growing a potential tree. (www.bonsaiempire.com/basics/cultivation/from-seeds) The yellowing leaf tips could be a sign of overwatering - maybe cut back a bit and see how the plant responds. I don't think you're doing anything wrong and I'm sure you'll have a beautiful plant
In Step 4 -- Did you placed cap over container, to make it air and 1 more confusion did you pour some water in container or just put them in towel just after the soaking? Please reply as soon as you can the monsoon arrived in India. (11th June 2024)
Thank You so much for this video! My mother lost her Poinciana tree during hurricane Irma back about 12 years ago, she was devastated and has since passed. I finally knocked on a man in my neighborhood's door and asked him if I could take some of the pods, so he gave me 6 of them. I am following your video and going to replant one in her honor. I was able to get 30 seeds per pod how can I hold on to the seeds I don't use for further planting? Thank you so much!!!!!!!
I have not germinated stored seeds so cannot speak from experience. However, I read that seeds can be stored for a long time if insect attack is avoided. Keep at room temperature in a dry place and the seeds can stay viable for up to 9 years! Let us know how it goes
I found some of these seeds, that I have from 2021. No insect damage, so I'm going to try them ! Hopefully, I might have a few germinate. Wish me luck !@@LuckyDogTraveler
Thank you. When you transplanted the seeds you just placed then in the dirt and covered them. So they don't need to be placed in a particular direction, like the white tip in the dirt?
Ready to start this! My house is kept around 71°-73° but my garage gets in the 90s. I’m in south Florida. Should I leave them to germinate inside my house or in my garage?
Hard to say what's killing your plants, and I take it when you say, "mine start to die off at this point" you mean as small seedlings like in the video. Maybe keep them in protective clear bags a bit longer? Feel free to comment again with details if you would like some more feedback
First of all thanks very much - yours is a great video. May I ask a question about fungal growth on the seeds as they germinate? I'm down in Albany, Western Australia and trying to grow Poincianas here (may be a bit far south ...) but anyway, my seeds are covered in white fungus after a few days. Do you have a recommendation for a fix? Perhaps you could "pop" down here to sort this out ... :)
Try a weak bleach solution, one parts bleach to 10 parts water, to wipe down the seeds, re-sterilize your container, and replace the paper towel. Hopefully you can get them into starter pots ASAP. And yeah, I wish I could teleport down to WA 😆✈️
Not sure. They don't tolerate temperatures below 40F very well and may lose all their leaves. You would definitely have to protect a young plant from frost
At what point should i separate seedlings? Or is it better to pot each separately from the start? Did yours grow up to be trees? Do you do follow-up videos? Subscribed!
Thanks for your support. knowing seeds have such a high success rate I would suggest starting each seed in its own starter pot. I do not have room in my garden for such a huge tree, so for now it is still in a large container but it's stunted and needs to be transplanted somewhere. I made a follow-up short some time ago m.ua-cam.com/video/C3jOac7kH5A/v-deo.html
Not sure as I only used seed pods that had turned dark brown/black. I believe the pods need to turn at least a brownish color before the seeds are mature 😊
Sono più di 5 mesi che sono nate le piantine, ma non crescono, ora in Italia é molto caldo e le ho lasciate in esterno riparate dal sole diretto.. É normale?
How can i identify this plant among my other plants? I have 5 plants, having almost same leaf. I can send you pictures if you give me your "whatsap number"
thank you! and thank you againg for being to the point without a minute music introduction. Short and to the point

What a great video! I wish more videos were this informative and straight to the point. Thanks so much, can't wait to get started with my seeds.
Thanks a million for your great video. I am going to definitely try this method with my royal poinciana seeds
Just started my own flame tree! Ty 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

I'm going to start this project today. Thank you!😊
Super
Very easy to understand and follow.
Thanks 🙏 a lot for your kind words and information about this project. Very nicely explained and detailed information. You are subscribed
Thank you for the great information. I followed your steps and now the seeds are germinating, waiting to be transferred to a pot
Glad to hear this method worked for you😅
Very nice information 😊
Thanks for the info 😊
Well done - great instruction and video!
This video is simply to the point. For that, I thank you! Good luck with your channel, and many blessings!!!
I'm starting my flamboyant journey tomorrow! Thank you
You got this!
Thanks so much for sharing! Can’t wait to plant my seeds!😊
Thanks for making a video without making it two hours long. Very helpful. Putting my seeds in the bag right now! Why airtight by the way?
For convenience to make sure the moist paper towel does not dry out
Thank you! Great and clear information!
Thanks for sharing info! I am going to give it a try!

Great video! I collected several fruits and have about 40-50 seeds I wish to plant
That's a lot of trees!
Thank you! 🌱
Thank you very much!!
Great video, can I grow this bonsai style? I live in a not tropical city in an apartment but I want to enjoy this plant which I fell in love with.
Yes, I believe you can grow this bonsai style😮
Thank you, just perfect.
Awesome!
Thank you for your help ☺️
You're welcome

I used an air-tight, water-tight, light proof container. Moist paper towel
I picked up a seed pod and will start planting
😀 🌼

@@VeraBundy Wow! 3 years old! I'm quite curious - please let us know your germination success rate.

Sideways worked fine for me ☺️

Amazing video!! Do you know what’s in the soil you sprouted the seeds in?
regular store-bought potting soil
I don't know why, but mine start to die off at this point. Many tries. And I've never got one past this...

Thank you for this video! How long will it take for a Flamboyant Tree to fully grow and bloom?
"The flamboyant tree can live for over 50 years...After planting, it can take a young royal poinciana tree 5 to 12 years to start flowering"
@@LuckyDogTraveler Thank you!
Any update on your sprouts??
As a matter of fact, it's doing great! I only kept one, but it is a bushy 10 inches (25cm) tall.
Thank yoy
NP
thank you. when should I plant them?
When temperatures are above 75° f, 25° c
When doing the paper towel method, is it ok to keep the seeds in a darkened area/drawer in a sunroom where the temp gets up to 85 degrees?
85 Fahrenheit should be just fine. 85 Celsius might be a tad warm!
Cheers!
Cool 😮
Yeah, quite some tree
What kind of soil mix did you use?
Regular store-bought potting soil
I grow them the exact way they germinate well but when intransfer them into soil 90 percent seeds rot why so please help
Not sure. Sounds like too much water
Can I do it from Greenish Pod ?
I never grew greenish pods so I don't know if they would grow or not. You can try and comment again and let us know how it went.

Perfect u just forgot to put whats ur soil mix
Normal store-bought soil
