Super Tenere Coolant Change In Details

Once in 3 years it is time to change the coolant.
I am using Motul Inugel Expert, but basically they all are pretty same - 1:1 mix of water and Ethylene Glycol (CH2OH2) with some additions. Super Tenere requires around 2 litters of coolant (buy 3 to be on a safe side and have some spare).
Ethylene Glycol is poisonous liquid make sure to dispose used coolant properly.

Just do it exactly as manual says. After you turn the engine on and let it warm up the air will go in to radiator. In case you leave it open you will see bubles. Just top it off. Be careful it is hot!

I wish I had seen this. After following other vids I have snapped the coolant drain bolt! Struggling to find new one.

How many liters of coolant of super tenere 1200?

1.83L in the radiator
0.26L in the reservoir
2.09L total

Hi Joseph, what kind and size of oring did you use? And how tight did you tighten the soy screw?

The answer is always in the service manual :)
Gasket OEM part number is 90430-06014-00 (it is 6 mm inner diameter 11 mm outer diameter and 6 mm thickness)
The torque is 10Nm
