Maybe in a past life. I was a late bloomer into the world of motorcycles due to a wife that was hesitant granting the clearance :) I’ve only been riding since I was 45, now approaching 50. I wish I had more space and more money as I’d love to have a few more bikes in the stable.
Stupid question: I replaced the water pump bolts on my T7 (long story) so all the coolant came out. Do I need to put more coolant in the coolant reservoir and the radiator or just the reservoir? Before you make fun of me, I did already acknowledge it is a stupid question 🙂
So I tore my MCL earlier this year and it was the only way I could ride for more than ten minutes at a time. Those were purchased at dualsport plus. They come in black as well but at the time I didn’t care as I just wanted to ride. They are made by Altrider.
Hello i have a question. When you use distilled water to clean out the system, do you put the reservoir back in place? Or do you do this whole process with the reservoir removed?
You can do it with the reservoir on if you’d like. I only fill it up to the point that the water starts to travel through to the overflow. With that said I do clean the reservoir out as well.
I guess that Honda Type 2 antifreeze is of blue color. Is T7 standard is also blue? Or can I use organic one (orange/red) after a full flush like you did as well? Thank you.
If genuine Yamaha coolant is not avail-able, use an ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion inhibitors for alu-minum engines and mix with distilledwater at a 1:1 ratio. The Honda antifreeze was recommended by my local dealer as they were out of the Yamaha coolant at the time.
@@adv4me Heheh this is great news all around the world :D I am from Turkey. The season has arrived and everywhere smells wonderful, I am trying to be on the bike as much as I can.
Haha. I prefer to be seen when I’m out on the road and lighting is key. Drivers today as you know are way too distracted and creating more visual presence is key.
Thank you for the video, it was really informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you remember where you got the red screws for the plastics?
I got them on Amazon. a.co/d/95EfuN3
You have to be careful with these as they are soft aluminum. Can’t over tighten them. I know from experience :)
Thanks man. I’ll be gentle. And I really enjoy your videos. Learning alot from them. Keep it up!
Good job, did you used to ride 2 stroke street bikes. You're use of the names "belly pan" and "expansion chamber" had me thinking of an RZ350 :-)

Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
BRILLIANT.
What are you squeezing that got that air pocket out?
I’m squeezing the coolant hose to move the fluid and to burp the system.
@@adv4methank you! Heard you say that a bit later in the vid. Thanks for the reply
Where can I get that torque gauge at 10:22?
That one is a special order item. For a low, low price of $8.99 I can hook you up. Beep beep beep. 😂

You will want to fill the system with 1.6 liters and the reservoir with .25 liters. Start with the radiator first. Happy wrenching
Where did you get the foot rest on crash bar ?

Next time, more light for the video
I know. I failed in the lighting department in this one.

@@adv4me Thank you very much for the answer. I hope everything is fine with you and with your bike :)
Not sure where you’re from but our riding season is just firing back up 😊

I’d love to visit Turkey. With gas prices at an all time high, I’ll be riding more this year as well.
You need more lighting.
