Hi Annika! Many thanks for all these ideas and also the Finish ones ❤ Now I've added some more Favorites to my Ravelry list 😊 I would like to suggest you to continue with with Spanish patterns as there are very good designers ❤❤❤
Japan was a great country to start, such a classic ascetic! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas 🎄, all the best for 2025 ! Thank you for you videos, I have enjoyed watching them.
I love your videos. Clear, to the point and with good explanations. And not a lot of extraneous chitchat, which just drives me crazy. Apologies to the people who like to include lots of chitchat in their videos. I think this is an excellent idea to present knitters around the world. I should say designers.. Thank you.
Annika Thank you for putting this together! I have knit the the Flores by Eri Shimizu and I love it! I used Purl Soho Linen quill. I want to knit another for this spring/summer.
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into compiling these videos. The Japanese designs are beautiful. Looking forward to discovering more global designs. Happy knitting and Happy New Year.
I love your idea of sharing knitting patterns and designers from around the world! I would love to see Ukrainian designers and designs highlighted! I would also like to see designers from South American countries highlighted. Thank you so much for this wonderful episode!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and the country suggestions! I would especially love to feature Ukraine and highlight some Ukrainian designers, what a great idea!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I have started a list with all the countries that have been mentioned so far and I will add New Zealand. 🙂 Thank you for the suggestion!
So beautiful! How about Shetland designs? They are so beautiful and also look challenging so I would love to see a few popular ones highlighted. Best wishes to you and your family for a Happy New Year!
Hello, Annika! I am so exited about your idea for Knitting Around the World. Another Japanese designer you might like is Ririko. I think you might like her Kaga pullover. Thanks again for a lovely video!
You are absolutely right! I didn't come across her on Ravelry during my research because her patterns are only available in Japanese - but she has some truly stunning and unique intarsia designs! ❤
Thank you so much, I hope you had a very merry Christmas as well! I was also making gifts up until Christmas 🙈 - I don't like the rush each year, but at least all of my handmade gifts were very well received. 😊
And I don’t think I have mentioned this to you yet but, we are hopefully going to make it to Germany this year and I can’t wait! I am so excited to see in person the beautiful yarns!
Loved your presentation of Japanese designs, thank you! I am an Australian designer (Vera Loves Knitting on Ravelry) and I have a couple of wonderful friends who are also designing knitwear. We are trying to promote small Australian yarn producers and create a sense of community here, it would be wonderful if you would help spread the word about our project.

There are a lot of Danish designers too.

Thank you so much for the suggestion and your kind words! I have added Korea to the list of future countries to cover. 😊
Hi Annika, what a wonderful list of interesting designs. I actually knit Tate to yoko for my mom last year and she loves it
What a coincidence! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! 😊
Japan is freezing in the winter. The north is covered in snow. ❄
You‘re right, due to the different climatic zones throughout the country the climate is very diverse.
erika tokai deserves a shoutout!!
You are absolutely right! I didn't come across her on Ravelry during my research because her patterns are only available in Japanese - but she has some truly stunning and unique intarsia designs! ❤
I would recommend a book called Japanese Knitting by michiyo and translate by Gayle Roehm. ❤
Interesting, thank you so much for sharing!
Eri Shimizu is one of my favourite designers
❤
Annika Merry Christmas! Up finishing my last gift!
