Hello Annika, thank you very much for the reserche. My favorit is the Wishbone Sweater by Veronika Lindberg. I didn't see it bevor. Perhaps one time... 😅 see you Tanja
Champagne pullover is stunning. Knitting literally saved me last year after I first took the needles in my hands while recovering from a surgery, and it became my new favourite discovery. I may cast on not only this but the Rococo Raglan tee as well 😊
I love Saris Designs❤ All the lace and cables are stunning

The Champagne pullover is in my favourites but there are many of Sari’s design that are utterly gorgeous. The Poetry pullover is another that I must make.
I learned to knit at a Finnish school when I was nine years old. Also I do not like to follow somebody else's patterns, so all my knitting is unique 😊 I do love to watch other people's designs though, you can always learn something and these are beautiful.
That's so impressive that you always make up your own designs! Are you on Ravelry? If so, would you mind sharing your user name? I would love to have a look at your knitting projects. 😊
I think one reason Finland has so many good knitwear designers is because knitting isn't seen as just a hobby. It is seen also as technical and useful skill. A good pattern needs a lot of calculations to adjust sizes and the optional adjustments. I've noticed that im many countries it's seen as more artistic endeavour. No that these patterns aren't artistic, but the pattern writing and designing requires a very technical breakdown of the process. We also aren't really afraid of new techniques, so designers aren't afraid to use multiple techniques in design.
A really wonderful collection of designers and patterns ❤ I love Veronika's patterns, they are both modern and feminine with a classic attitude. Not speaking of her great descriptions and helpful YT videos.
I love to knit Wishbone sweater in the future. I love Kutovakika’s designs. Also I would love to knit the sweater from the books cover. Stunning sweater!
Beautiful collection of patterns. I like the champagne sweater from Sari Nordland. Very pretty and would be a challenge for me 😬😊🤔 because of the intricate lace pattern. Thank you for sharing these patterns. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the information. 😊😊😊 'Finnish knits' is my high demand in wishing list to have ❤❤❤, good luck to me. And I decided to knit Rococo raglan tee by Sari because in here hot summer day today. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Oh, I love Anna Johanna's designs so I would choose Crowfeet. 🤩 Thank you for this episode! I'm familiar with finnish designers but some of these designs were new to me.
I knit the Salty Days Sweater and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! Kutovakika her Arctic light sweater is the one that made me start knitting. I just bought a nice turquoise yarn to knit it!
I love anna johanna's design and test knitted several times for her. Next on my list is the 'Giddy' pullover. Thank you Annika for introducing me to new talented designers.
I'm in ♡ with the Wishbone Sweater. Kutovakika's patterns are challinging but with her awesome instructions (written as well as the tutorials on YT) I was able to knit her Love Letter Top as my first ever lace project!!!
Hi Annika, beautiful designs from the Finnish Designers. I love the Pride & Pears Cardigan and the Wishbone Sweater by Veronika Lindberg. They are both in my list for knitting.
I love all these new designers that you are introducing, I absolutely love the Wishbone sweater, I really feel I need to add this to my list of projects for this year.😊
Great episode. I love all Finnish designers. I have made a few patterns from Kutovakika, wonderfully written patterns. My next project is from Sari, the lumme sweater. Thank you!
Great round up, thank you. I love Finnish knitwear designers. Classic, stylish pieces that never go out of fashion. I’d like to knit the Bluebird cardigan. It looks amazing and I’ve not tried this designer before.
So proud to be a Finnish with our super talented and versatile designers!❤ I learned to knit at school (everyone did, but not sure what is the situation today…) I feel like in Finland the most popular knitted item is socks and I think the most typical socks are not fingering weight but more heavy dk(?) around 50g/100m. I have noticed that if someone knits only a little it is always socks! And for a good reason: we need them during winter (and to be honest almost every season more or less😂) And not sure if this is special to Finland but we have yarn (mostly Novita) in almost every grocery store! The bigger ones have more and smaller ones have less but at least some sock yarn always. So basic yarn is available everywhere you go
Very inspiring video with patterns that I have never come across before, so thank you! I have knit a few of Sari Nordlund’s patterns and I am keen to try designs of other Finnish designers. Veronica Lindberg is on my radar and her Wishbone Sweater is already in my library and in my queue for 2025. I just need to sort my yarn (and use some of my SQs of yarn already in stash). Happy knitting!
Wow, so many beautiful patterns, I want to knit them all! The first one I put in my queue is the Blue Bird cardigan. I think the Julgubbe socks are adorable and those also immediately went in my queue! I like most of the patterns in the Laine magazine so that will definitely end up in my library at some point. This is the first of your podcasts I have watched and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be watching more! Thank you, Wendy
The Hilja dress has been on my wishlist since I saw the pattern testing call for it on IG! 🥰 I really loved many of the patterns you shared today, though. Thank you! ❤
I’m in total agreement with your choices, I’ve purchased a vast majority of these patterns. Awaiting my yarn. Thank you for your advice and hard work, love you podcast.
You'te right, there is a lot of very goog finnish designers! I really like Kutova kika. I am doing her "take me out" sweater right now. I would like to do the Champagne sweater of the blue bird. Thanks you for sharing with us!
Love your video segments of “Knitting Around the World.” I can’t wait for more! I want to knit from all the designers you posted, but the Serendipity from Vera Valamaki [sp] is completely stunning. 🤩
Thank you so much! I am also really excited to keep going with this series. I have already planned what the content for the next video (it will come out in February). 🙃
Thank you for giving me a remiinder of Sari Nordlund. Just went straight to Ravelry and found some lovely summer knits. Especially the "Roman Holiday", "Sunkissed Top" and the "Foxberry Tee".
I love your podcast. I would love to knit Wishbone sweater. Thank you for this episode .... I did not even know that Sari is a Finnish designer.... everyone of them are so talented...
23:34 The Blue Bird! I haven’t yet steeked a cardigan, either, and I enjoy challenging myself to up my knitting game. Plus, this cardigan is so pretty!
Lots of choices. Sari N.'s Maj socks have been in my queue for a long time along with Veera V.'s The First Light. But now you have tempted me with many others.
Oh my goodness - I had never seen the Vuokko before but it’s a work of art! And the mood of the picture is exactly how I imagine Finnish living in my head: tall ceilings, moody wallpapers and white jeans. It’s gone in my queue. Thank you for the podcasts, I’ve been loving them (and secretly loving that you went to Brittany over Christmas, I’m a - very happy - French expat on a small island the UK and that made me smile!).
Ps: I’m knitting first all over colourwork and I’m loving it, the blomster jakke by Sandnes Garn. I’ve only ever done small colourwork socks before, the pattern is addictive!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I absolutley love spending time in France (we are only about one hour away from the French border) and the small village that we went to over the Christmas break is my favorite place in the whole world. 😊❤ Salutations chaleureuses! 🇨🇵
Thank you for another great podcast showcasing designers! Sari Nordlund is on my list of designers to try this year but I was captivated by the Wishbone sweater.
I'm really enjoying this new series and love both episodes so far! I'm glad to see the Still Light Tunic in your bundle, it's one of the first garment patterns I ever knitted and I even made another one a couple of years ago. I think I would like to try Lupine Blouse next, it looks amazing
