So nice to see another Arizona knitter! ☺ I love your vibe in general, and the fact that you understand the knitting struggles caused by our climate is just the cherry on top. And yes, 100% yes, I second your sentiment about the difficulty of finding modest summer patterns. Your taste and pattern selections are so lovely! ❤
@@katedrake Yay!!!🌵Where at in AZ (if you don’t mind sharing over the interwebs😜)we’re in Mesa but hubby and I both grew up in Glendale/North Peoria. Happy to have a knitting friend here who gets the heat🔥And who also cares about modesty in summerwear🤍I’m so glad you enjoyed the roundup, and that you tuned in🥰Thank you so much, lady! Happy knitting!🧶🥂
@@brookeshoevlin I'm in Chandler these days, and I grew up in North Phoenix! So definitely in the middle of the heat, and saddened by our warm winter this year, but it's getting me into spring and summer knits early at least! The hunt for knits that cover me but won't cause me to overheat is on! 😂 I'm glad to have found your channel and to be here, and thank you for the awesome content! 🥰
You have a beautiful vintage home. I love anything Victorian, myself, not only home decor but also Victorian knitting ❤❤❤
@@PaulaJonesy Thank you so much, lady🤍🤍I’m so happy I’m finding my people here, I’m all about antiques and the Victorian era✨Thanks for tuning in🥰Happy knitting!🧶🥂
You should try some of the vintage patterns in Weldon’s Practical Needlework. Some STUNNING Victorian shawls and clothing in there ❤❤🏴
Hi Brooke! I just discovered your channel & I’m SO glad I did! You are such a joy to hang out with. I had to go back & watch your older episodes as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed them all! ❤~Amy
I adore this round up so much! I agree about the tees, it can be so hard to find one that have scoop necks that are still modest. Have you seen the Fleur tee by Brianna Mason? So cute and if knitted longer could be more modest and still work with skirts :)
@@courtneylee3352 I’m so glad you enjoyed this roundup🥰And happy to have a friend who also cares about modesty in knits!🌻I hadn’t seen the Fleur Tee until now but … I gasped! Yes!!! Going in my favorites immediately💃🏻I love it. Great call😍Thanks so much for tuning in, lady! Happy knitting!🧶🥂
Absolutely adore the vibe of the video as well as your interior design!!
@@skyemorris6820 I’m so happy you tuned in and enjoyed the episode🥰Thanks so much!! Happy knitting!🧶🥂
to prevent holes in your socks you can try reinforcement stitches after they are done before blocking. it will help prevent holes...it happens a lot to hand knit socks.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for that tip! This is true! Once I have that sock motivation back I’ll have to give this a try🙏 Thanks for tuning in lady🤍Happy knitting!🧶🥂
@brookeshoevlin no problem! I’ve never actually made socks but I learned it on Roxanne Richardson’s UA-cam channel
Nice selection of “to be knits”! I was actually winding up yarn to make the Belmont Cardi by Gudrun Johnston while I was watching.
@@galeannvandevoort6748 I’m on my way to look at the Belmont💃🏻So happy you tuned in and enjoyed the roundup🥰Thanks for watching! Happy knitting!🧶🥂
Oh so many beautiful patterns! The fabels islander is going on my knit list for sure.
@@laurag.2564 That one is so unique and gorgeous right?!😍Love that it’s going on your list. Thanks for tuning in lady!🥰Happy knitting!🧶🥂
So many beautiful sweaters! I’m excited to see what you actually make. I don’t have any big plans for 2025, just taking it one pattern at a time for now. I’m almost finished with the Hitchhiker Beyond pattern by Martina Behm and then I’ll be making two cowls for gifts and after that who knows. 😃
Too many and too little time, Eileen!😆One pattern at a time is the most peaceful way to go🤍Love that for you and love that you have gift knits planned. I’m on my way to look at the Hitchhiker Beyond!💃🏻Thanks for tuning in, lady☺️Happy knitting!🧶🥂
I have knit the chunky Magnolia Cardigan in a silk/merino blend and I loved knitting it! It was so beautiful that now I need to knit one for myself! (The first was for my sister in a lovely deep blue!) I knit myself the Ingrid cardigan by Gregorian fibers in an oyster cream yarn and it is soooo well worn! I knit it with the recommended easer and it is perfectly oversized and goes over EVERYTHING! So I say knit the cardigan in white! I wear mine constantly!❤ So many of these patterns are on my list…😅 I am knitting like crazy because these brief spaces of spring weather are reminding me of how quickly it gets hot and my knitting motivation disappears!😂
@@JoelleGrace Oooooh I’m on my way to look at the Ingrid👀👀thank you for confirming the white for me🙏🙏😍You’re so right, and yes!!! about the weather changing soon! I’m thinking I’ll do a pattern roundup for modest spring knits since for so many of us the weather is already turning!🌷and I love the sound of your Magnolia🤍🤍thanks so much for tuning in, lady!😊Happy knitting!🧶🥂
@ That would be so fun! I am new to your channel but I am really enjoying all the videos! 🥰 I am very grateful for the lovely weather and it is definitely making me knit more! I think I will take up bobbin lace making for the summer (longer term than that but I think it would be a good sub for knitting) something less bulky and warm than wooly sweaters…
Looove the Minerva sweater 😍 I’m working on a baby sweater that I hope I finish before baby arrives in August 🤞good luck on your projects, they seem lovely
@@heathermurray4550 Aww huge congratulations (to you or your loved one! Whoever is expecting!) what a blessing🤍🤍Have so much fun knitting along on it! And thanks so much for tuning in lady🥰Happy knitting!🧶🥂
love fabel knitwear and mandy julie designs. not the biggest fan of FKs pattern writing style, but i can deal with it for the end result :)
@succmoipp1362 so good to hear from someone who’s loved Mandy Julie’s designs because she is new to me!😊I hear you on FK’s, they are a little more minimalist on the instructions and take a little extra effort to figure out what the next steps are, but agree on the end products😍Thanks so much for tuning in!🤍Happy knitting!🧶🥂
@succmoipp1362 ok it’s not just me…I also don’t like her pattern writing style. I thought since I’m a beginner it was just difficult for me…probably still the case but good to know I’m not the only one.
