    Hi I just moved from California to Iowa. I just ran across you Ap. I love the way you store things in jars. I went through my pantry and got rid of the plastic containers and going to Wal Mart to buy glass caning jars. I live by my self and think the ideas you are teaching people well be great and easy for me. Thank you and God bless you. Ailene

    You probably know this, but the snap lock containers’ lids are great to write the date on the top with a Sharpie and it comes right off with a damp Magic Eraser. I do this with leftovers, as well, because I can’t tax my brain wondering how long something has been in the fridge.😂
    Just started with your method and have written the date on the snap locks and/or with a chalk label on the jars so that I’ll know when they were put up.

    • @TheCrossLegacy
      @TheCrossLegacy  Рік тому +5

      Yes, I just use dishsoap and my dish towels but I write on the lids all the time. Sometimes i write on the sides of the glass so I can read it easier on the shelf.

    I don't remove my romaine from the core/stem. I do put them in vinegar and water one way then flip over, rinse the best I can and store the whole bunch still together in my clear lettuce keeper. Keeps well this way. Brussel sprouts keep for a long period of time, even in the original bag from costco. Broccoli - I soak the whole head upside down in a salt water solution for a bit then rinse and allow to dry before storing whole

    Hi, I seen you for first time yesterday on Simple Farmhouse I think it is called. I immediately started washing my veggies and was floored by the leftover water in the bowl. I can not thank you enough. Im searching your videos for cleaning information. Now I feel like my house is NOT clean. So, my first question is I do not have filtered watered. What should I use to put in the bottom of my jars? Is bottled water sufficient? Do you have videos on washing and storing the veggies from your garden? I will hopefully have more than I know what to do with soon. I am new to gardening and preserving so I need a little help. Thank you so very much!!!!!

      As for the filtered water I normally tell people what ever water they would want to drink, so filtered from the fridge or bottles if that is what you drink. Most places the tap water has too much chlorine in it for the plants to survive.

      @@shh1702 That is the easiest place to find it all in one place in a list. There are over 400 videos on my channel for free that have instructions for each item for washing and storing. You can store in any type of glass, either a jar or a glass container with an airtight lid. Almost everything gets washed in the vinegar wash, either before storing it or before eating it. Things in the pantry like potatoes, onions, garlic are not washed in vinegar.

      We did get an upgrade in Cameras if you watch any of the videos that were filmed in the last year. This one that you commented on is one of the very first videos we did 2 yrs ago. We have now filmed 300 more.

    I recently found your show and I love it. I've learned a lot from you. However, the man's voice popping in is unsettling, and distracting. I struggled through this because I want the information. Thanks for all you do.

      We only have 6 videos out of over 500 that were filmed like that, they were the very first videos we did 3 years ago when I was so nervous I couldn't talk to the camera by myself. I hope you enjoy the newer videos.

    Dear .i love you a lot but would it be possible that you can use like a guide of the thing you want to cover and then just bum...talk everything about each title..instead of been 55 minutes you can cover everything in 20 minutes.. It would be great..some people really need your advices but between the laughs the questions that are not related the welcoming the hellos you get diverted all the time so get one hour video...thats why people keep asking the same questions..

      “Disturbing” is an extreme adjective for your complaint.
