Vertin went back in time to the next era (wich is the previus era) as the future (the era that the storm happened in was reversed)
Vertin deserve this ost. One of the best MC in gacha game history. Another place near Kiana.

Reverse: 1999 is a gacha game (released earlier this year in CN and Oct. 26th for global) that is known for it's story and English voice acting! In fact, the original and preferred dub of the game is EN, despite the game originally being Chinese. The dub has accents and even times where the characters speak in their native language, it's very cool and immersive ~
As for the story, you play as Vertin, the character this song is about. You see the story through her, and I love that she's not a silent MC. She is what's known as a 'Timekeeper', the only person who can withstand and survive the 'Storm', a phenomenon that reverses the time of an era, as the song says. It's definitely more complicated than this, but this is just a simple overview!
I would absolutely love if you reacted to the other EPs, especially 'Between the Rain and The Times' and 'The Gleaming', and possibly even the trailers if you want 💙
Best way to sum it up: Think Dr. Who mixed with Fahrenheit 451 and add a small touch of elitism

This game have everthing
They have good story, full voice, great and challenging gameplay, banger OST and EP, gorgeous art and a little animation on some important sections in the story, and the best MC of all Vertin
Vertin very quickly became one of my favorite game mcs. Along with Kiana from Honkai impact 3rd. This ep is also my favorite so far, its so good😭
Yes, they are also my favorite anime characters. I hope Reverse 1999 gets an anime because Honkai Impact isn't likely to get one

i definitely appreciate you taking notice of the scenery becoming more fixed by the time ends. reverse 1999 revolves around time ultimately destroying eras through an event called "the storm" -- which is why you see the rain falling backwards and the more dreary tone around the beginning of the song, as our character tries to find a way to stop the phenomenon

Reverse 1999 is currently my favorite gacha game. It has many good OSTs. I recommend "Between The Rain And The Times" and "The Gleaming"

@@bartomolev6682 The text do be really bloated but as an avid novel reader that's a plus for me hahahaha. If you listen to story summaries in UA-cam tho, the story itself is pretty rad, just composed a little poorly. I think the fact that there aren't any voice acting for the story coupled with the bloated text probably turned off a lot of players. Any other aspects tho, imo Arknights still contends as one of the best in the market

Everyone has been recommending "ReReReRegulus!" from the same game, it's a great song!
My favourite version of it is a cover by a vtuber named Miori Celesta.
Until now, I've only seen trailers for the game via UA-cam ads and always thought it looked interesting. This OST reinforced my opinion.
I'd like to see @GOTGames watch the trailers, too. That'd be cool.
I recently fell into this game and i'm just blown away by pretty much everything the game has offered so far, the music as well.
And Vertin is a amazing character, a MC every Gacha game needs instead of self insert MC.
I also know u'll love the whole magic time travel story.

Since I didn't see anyone else recommend it, I would like to recommed Druvis III's theme "Take Me Back To You"
This instantly convinced me to get the game and holy hell, it's awesome.
Vertin is an amazing MC. The aesthetics and combat system is great.
It's the first gacha game that tempted me to pour in money within the first hour _which is probably unhealthy_ but I NEED Eternity (a character), man! I'm already sucked in.
Unlike some games with an overly long prologue and bloated arcs full of fluff until you get to the good stuff, the visual novel style of storytelling just throws you in the fray and it's done so well.
Or maybe, I'm just looking at it with rose-tinted glasses since it's been a while since we had another "big" gacha game or even a visual novel at that.

Reverse 1999 its a game where they just thought "ok, lets make all the waifus and husbandos have quirky accents... and also lets make that teapot talk and be a 6 star character from the gacha... and this piece of glass too since we are at it... and apple? His name is Mr APPle, lets add him to the gacha too. Also he is British."
The game itself doesnt tell you anything till you are deep into its story, so the barebones plot is that, on an alternative Earth (not too much different to ours) where magical people exist, from the year 1999 the time starts going backwards in a cataclysmic way.

It's got amazing english voice acting for the game, amazing music, and absolutely godlike trailers. I'd highly recommend checking out the trailers they have on their UA-cam channel as they give a good sense of what the game entails and is about.

There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

The trailers are also fantastic btw, almost like movie trailers and explain the premise very easily.
The story in the game develops over the course of each stage and can be confusing at first, you figure things out as you play and theres loads of exerpts and voice logs that hold important details about characters and plot.

The reason why reverse 1999 is not really popular is
1. Basically u already knew about turn based rpg gacha game, its not really popular like yknow HSR where at first people so hype about it, after that its jut slowly dissapear. Its basically like that
2. Most people find turn based game is boring, they mostly prefer something like open world rpg, or the one that have combat system
3. They probably hate gacha games

Oh man, this game just came out but i'm absolutely in love with it, as well as all of it's OST's, To me though there are 2 that you def should check out my mans, One is called "School Song" which has an incredible message behind it, the second is a much more fun one called "ReReReRegulus!". Both are fantastic in their own ways. Make sure to give them a try!
