Man, please, do a favor to yourself and GO BUY THE GAME ASAP! its one of the best games I’ve ever played!! Beat it on PC, Switch, Ps4 and Ps5 actually lol Yeah, its that good!
If it's recommendations that Luke wants, then it's what he's gonna get! Another game whose OSTs are top-tier is "Ori and the Blind Forest", as well as its sequel, "Ori and the Will of the Wisps". Some that are worth reacting to: - In Wonderment of Winter - Shriek and Ori - Restoring the Light, Facing the Dark - Baur's Reach - Ori, Embracing the Light - Mora the Spider - Escaping the Sandworm - Kwolok's Malaise - Shadows of Mouldwood - The Darkness Lifted - Light of Nibel - Luma Pools - Now Use the Light, We Want to See! - Escape with the Memory of the Forest - Escaping a Foul Presence - The Windswept Wastes
All games from Supergiant games have great soundtracks. From Bastion "Build That Wall (Zia's Theme)" won the Best Song in a Game award, and "Setting Sail, Coming Home (End Theme)" was nominated for the same award. Yes! Two of five contenders is form the mame game.
The OST is actually what got me to buy the game in the first place since the developer put the whole soundtrack on youtube. After I listened to it on repeat for a couple days I was like, "yeeeeah, I don't know about playing a roguelike but this music is great, I gotta at least check the game out." I've since put in way too much time playing the thing, it's great!
Hades is the perfect entry to the roguelikes, the basic premise is executed extremely well and the story all ties into the reset mechanic. Plus, of course, the graphics, music and voice acting is all amazing.
You should definitely try listening to Transistor OST, a game from the same studio and the music from the same composer. The music alone is worth playing those games 😍
People clamouring about Hades OST, why? Did they all forget Transistor is a game that exists? That OST is way better. Kinda painful how the older masterpieces are forgotten so easily
The entire OST is amazing! All the songs just hits so right! This song also just hits so good! Also the game is really fun and very addicting. "Just one more run" and you just will not want to stop playing.
All of Supergiant's ames have fantastic OSTs, the composer Darren Korb is a mad genius who's able to pull of so many different types of music incredibly well. Btw "In the Blood" is the ending credits song for for Hades, so you can imagine how amazing the rest of the OST must be if they're already doin this for just the ending credits. In terms of recommendations I would first of all recommend I would first of all recommend some more music from Supergiant's games. "The Unseen Ones" from he Hades OST and "Never to Return", "Dread Design" and "Will of he Scribes" are some really great ones off the top of my head. In terms of other games "Con lentitud poderosa" from the Risk of Rain 2 OST, "Revenge", "Feisty Flowers" and "Reconciliation" from the Everhood OST, "A Final Duel" from the Inscryption OST and "Saviour" and "The One who waits" from the Cult of the Lamb OST are some awesome tracks off the top of my head which are definite must-listens imo
OMG yes, Hades! Was easily my Game Of The Year when it came out. This game has some amazing music. As mentioned by others, all of Supergiant's games have really good music. Their composer Darren Korb never disappoints. Another great track from Hades is God of the Dead. From Bastion (their first game) my favorite is Build That Wall, been over 10 years since I played the game but I still find myself humming that one at random.
Hades is a mythological game based on the case of the ancient Greek pantheon, so with Greek instrumentals and influences from the ideas and or vocals of a more haunting sound of say a darker Halloween added with some Greek orchestral, we get some of the best soundtrack for hades.
When this song plays in the game...goosebumps. Hades is an amazing testament to what happens when people make something out of passion instead of greed.
- Escape with the Memory of the Forest - Escaping a Foul Presence - The Windswept Wastes
the super giant game Transistor has the best album ever I listen to it all the time. ❤ I love Hades 1 and 2 as well. Pyre and Bastian are also amazing, every game they've ever made is so good. they're my favorite game studio by far.
Finally, yeaah..!! Of all Darren Korb song he created, OST from Hades is suit you the best. Really worth it to check out more. My favourite ones are 'The Painful Way', 'The King and The Bull', and 'The Unseen Ones'
You should for sure listen to more soundtracks from Supergiant Games and Darren Korb, they're fantastic without fail. Specific recommendations would be from Basion (Build That Wall and Setting Sail, Coming Home), Pyre (In The Flame, Never To Return, Will of the Scribes), Transistor (We All Become, Paper Boats), or any of their live performances on the Supergiant Games youtube channel!
Hades OST is epic ! "Good riddance" is one of my favourite pieces from the soundtrack. Risk of Rain 2 also has an amazing soundtrack, please check it !
This song was performed by both singers backed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the Video Game Awards 10-year concert. It was easily one of the highlights of an amazing show, and everyone gave a standing ovation after the performance. For other video game OST recommendations, I suggest the entire soundtrack of Sonic R. Every song is a banger with a retro feel, but not in a way you'd expect from a Sonic game.
I highly recommend any song from every Supergiant game. Everything that Darren Korb touches is magic. I'd say my favorite songs are Paper Boats (Transistor), Setting Sail, Coming Home (Bastion) and Bound Together (Pyre).
This is my FAVORITE song in Hades, and that’s saying a lot because this OST is perfection. When Ashley takes the lower harmony on the chorus it’s just so cool.
I effing love the composer Darren Korb! Absolutely seconded on calls for Bastion OST! Build That Wall/Mother I'm Here/Setting Sail, Coming Home - a powerful combination back to back, recommend all at once!
anything from Transistor. you got Supergiant Games again with their previous work and it has Ashley Barrett at the very focus of the music and the plot. yea, the game has you play as a songstress. The Spine. Paper Boats. We All Become. you asked about more Touhou, but you know what? I want to send you deeper than the rabbit hole and into the Doujinshi Music Circle. Pizuya's Cell and MyonMyon released a set of arrangements with vocals by someone named YAMATO. arrangements based on the works of ZUN and U2 Akiyama of Touhou fame. My favorites being from Chaoscillation Game. you can easily find the arrangements on youtube on the channel TheDoujinChannel my favorite tracks are: Night Maze, equinox, Puzzled New Days, Heavy Metal Spark!, and Steel of Scarlet.
Hades OST's are a bangers and the game itself is addicting. Since it is a rogue-lite game. Recommended OST: Bloodborne, Ludwig the accursed or Laurence Vicar Dark Souls 3, Dancer of boreal valley Dishonored, Drunken Whaler Dead Cell's, Prisoner's Awakening Outland, Rites of passage Lost Judgement, Unwavening belief or Viper etc...
All of Supergiant games have great OSTs. Build that Wall (Zia's Theme) from Bastion was a big one that won awards if I remember. Transistor also has great vocal tracks like The Spine, In Circles, or We All Become.
Here are a few recommendations: -"Off to Sleep" from the Child of Light -"BB's Theme" from Death Stranding -"Ism" from Yakuza: Like a Dragon -"Blood Upon the Snow" from God of War Ragnarok
I suggest listening to: Crypt of the NecroDancer - Disco Descent The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth (MOD) - Gloria Filio (Mom's Heart) Guilty Gear Strive - Smell of the Game World of Warcraft - Invincible To the Moon - For River - Piano (Johnny's Version) Terraria Calamity (MOD) - 1NF3S+@+!0N Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel - Climax Theme #4
Hades is one of my favorite games ever. I knew it was good going into it but I still didn't expect to love it as much as I do. I can honestly highly recommend the entire OST, I have a playlist of it saved on spotify and even listen to it while playing other games sometimes 😂 I think Good Riddance would be a good next step or Lament of Orpheus. Both really excellent with amazing vocals. The studio is also currently working on Hades II, which Darren Korb is credited in the reveal trailer for under sound design and score, so I imagine he's going to be handling that game as well and I can't wait to see what comes of it. If you're interested in reacting to it, they also did some fun animations for the trailers for both Hades and the reveal trailer for Hades II, and showed some gameplay in each too.
there's something really neat that darren korb does in a lot of his compositions that feature both him and ashley barrett that i kinda never see elsewhere, and that is to have the male voice singing the higher register while the female voice sings the lower one. and it is delightful every time
By the same people who made Hades's OST (same singers but also the same amazing video game company Supergiant Games) I'd recommend the OSTs of Bastion, Pyre and Transistor which are also fantastic
Indeed how have you missed on this for so long? Honestly same composers behind bastion and transistor also amazing and unique osts and worth listening to. Lots of modern indies have insane soundtracks to be fair. Hollow knight, the two Ori and the blind forest games, Gris, Ghost Song, Risk of Rain to name some of the most memorable recent ones. Recent Baldur's gate 3 also needs to be heard from start to finish honestly, whole ost. Witcher games as well... Also I would recommend few other classic ones from the 90s such as Command and Conquer/Red alert, Chrono trigger, ps torment, baldur's gate 1/2, final fantasy 6, Castlevania symphony of the night, Super Metroid and heroes of might and magic II /might and magic VI. Keep it up. ^^ Check more. You are indeed missing a lot !!
I agree with the other comments. Please keep listening to the other songs in this soundtrack! Anything Supergiant games touches has an incredible soundtrack! I'd recommend looking at their other titles such as Bastion and Transistor and looking at trailers for the game so you have an idea of the type of game to go with the OST.
There are things about this song that remind me oddly of Suilen. They did some of the OST for Hellsing Ultimate and this really puts me in mind of Shinto Shite, the song played at the end of episode 7. That ending sequence with that song was a masterpiece.
It IS a awesome song, but so is the game. I've never had as much fun with a roguelike as Hades, no line of dialogue is said twice and there's still ways the story can go in different directions depending on some choices. its awesome!
if you ever watched the good old cooptional podcast, the song they alwayas used was from Bastion "A Proper Story", by the same developer, very good OST as well
As far as crazy OST's go, I gotta put my 2 cents in for Serpent Eating the ground/horizon from the Bravely Default OST. Such an absolute banger of a track and even has a live version which sounds 1 for 1 with the studio version :) anyway keep up the awesome reactions Luke!❤
Bloodborne Soundtrack OST - Ludwig, The Accursed & Holy Blade (The Old Hunters) is also an amazing OST; a very difference vibe lol but still very good lol
Okay so here's a list of games and imo best tracks from their OST's made by the same studio and composer: Bastion - Mother, I'm Here (Build that Wall is also top tier, but doesn't make me go "mah hart, mah soul" iykyk) Transistor - The Spine, We All Become Hades - God of the Dead, The Unseen Ones, Good Riddance I haven't played the Pyre, so please reply with some banger tracks for my man to listen
One step closer to Transistor. Don't get me wrong, Hades, and all of Supergiant game's OST are excellent, but Transistor is peak for me. But really, any song with Daren Korb and Ashley Barrett is pretty much guranteed to go on my playlist.
Oh shit, you've never heard of Hades?? It's considered by many to be one of the best action rogue-lite games ever; it has pretty deep storytelling and fast paced very responsive combat, with a very large amount of replay-ability. You should absolutely think about playing it, on camera if possible!
Dude, you can try the soundtrack of Super Giant's previous game "Transistor". The first time I heard the soundtrack of "Transistor" it was mind-blowing. Darren Korb (who composed all of these) is really awesome!
I recommend the soundtrack to BPM Bullets Per Minute. I think it's on the same level as Hades and Doom, but Rock focused instead. It's a rhythm FPS shooter.
Zagreus the god of blood and life, son of Hades. In game protagonist, in the myths it's more complicated, and The god of wine and madness; Dionysus was Zagreus's immortal soul in a way.
I love this game, It's Godlike ;) As for recomendations, You might want to give "Wasteland 3" a listen moste of the OST are parodies and new renditions of other already existing songs Some of the best imo is "Down in the valley to pray" "Battle Hym of the Republic" and of course"Blood of the Lamb"
The OST is fantastic. Almost every track is basically 2 versions of the same song. When you're in a room and just in a cutscene, or walking around, it plays a piece of music with traditional, mostly mediterranean-sounding instruments. When combat starts, the music shifts to basically a metal version of the same song. The majority of tracks on the soundtrack album itself are double-length, because they feature the entire piece of music in both arrangements.
Please check out Scourge of the Furies from this game too. I absolutely love the OSTs of this game. 10/10 game too. Also The rain formerly known as purple from Risk of Rain 2, too please!.
I *highly* recommend playing all the Supergiant Games games, they all have amazing soundtracks, and they are all amazing games too, both in terms of gameplay, and artistically.
Fun Fact: The characters that are singing this song within the game are Orpheus and Eurydice, from Greek Mythology. In their myth, Orpheus travels to the Underworld to petition Hades to let his wife, Eurydice, be brought back from the dead. The way that he petitioned Hades was by singing him a song, as he was a gifted singer, due to being the child of the Muse Calliope (who was the Muse of Epic Poetry, known for her voice). His voice and song were so beautiful that it convinced Hades to allow Orpheus to return the the living world with Eurydice, on the condition that he must not look back at her until they had returned. Unfortunately, Orpheus did look back, meaning that Eurydice was unable to return. Depending on the version, the reason why he looked back varies slightly. The most widely accepted version is that he was worried she wasn't following him, because he couldn't hear her footsteps (because she was a spirit, and thus didn't make any sound when she walked). The other main reason that I've heard was that he looked back as soon as he had crossed back into the living world, not considering the fact that Eurydice hadn't crossed over yet, due to being a few steps behind him.
I recommend the songs "Carrying the weight of life" and "Mobius Battle" from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. some great songs from my favourite Video Games/Video game OSTs
If you want weird and haunting I have a buffet of tracks all from the same Raid in FFXIV: "Hic Svnt Leones", "Scream" (both of those being more rock inspired), "One Amongst the Weary" and lastly "Athena, the Tireless One" (weird and haunting). The reason why I list all these together is because the track evolves until the final one combines all the leitmotivs from the entire Raid series together. There are a few more tracks from the Raid but with these 4 you can clearly hear how it evolved. I realize this is a big request, but for some reason nobody has reacted to the music of last part of the Raid yet and you also get to hear "Scream" which will be highly requested sooner or later as its very popular.
Day 54 of requesting a reaction to the following openings: Chivalry of a Failed Knight op Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress op Kiznaiver op You could make a multiple op reaction for this. Thank you!
Hades has a superb soundtrack. I would recommend Final Fantasy XIV "In the Balance" . Final Fantasy XIV also as amazing soundtracks and from each genre something
I will always recommend Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Especially the former's song "World Revolution." Curiously, despite beating (and enjoying) Hades a few times, I'm honestly not familiar with this song.
I'm biased in this recommendation, because I love Blue Archive like no game i've ever played. But hey you've technically already done one reaction with Gura's cover of 'Target for Love.' In terms of Gacha games it probably wouldn't impress you as much as Arknight or Genshin, but there's lots of heart in Blue Archive's OST i would like to recommend 'Unwelcome School, Re Aoharu, and Endless Carnival.
THIS WAS EPIC!!!!

That one is a musical anime movie with great OST. You should watch it or react to some of its OST)
Fun fact: Darren Korb, the composer and male singer for the song, also voiced Zagreus, the main character of the game.
not only Zagreus, but couple other characters too

@@GOTGames I will say the game itself absolutely lives up to the music it's attached to.
I recommend more from Hades like Good Riddance, also the vocalists are also characters in game that played music in Greek stories.
I love this one, my vote is here
Happy to check out more definitely!
Good Riddance is maybe my second favorite after In The Blood, soooooo good.

My favourite song of the OST is Rage of the Myrmidons! The Unseen Ones and The King and the Bull are great as well!
Bloodborne Soundtrack OST - Ludwig, The Accursed & Holy Blade (The Old Hunters) is also an amazing OST; a very difference vibe lol but still very good lol
Okay so here's a list of games and imo best tracks from their OST's made by the same studio and composer:
Bastion - Mother, I'm Here (Build that Wall is also top tier, but doesn't make me go "mah hart, mah soul" iykyk)
Transistor - The Spine, We All Become
Hades - God of the Dead, The Unseen Ones, Good Riddance
I haven't played the Pyre, so please reply with some banger tracks for my man to listen
One step closer to Transistor.
Don't get me wrong, Hades, and all of Supergiant game's OST are excellent, but Transistor is peak for me.
But really, any song with Daren Korb and Ashley Barrett is pretty much guranteed to go on my playlist.
Paper Boats genuinely one of the best love songs ever written, regardless of medium.
More obscure OST recommendations? The World Ends with You.
Now i want to replay Hades :))). I recommend giving Ace Combat OSTs a try ( Daredevil, Archange, Zero and many more).
One of my favorites games of all time
I'm such a sucker for males having the higher harmony when dueting with a female voice. It scratches an itch in my brain and its so good.
I'm sure you'd enjoy more songs from Sonic Frontiers. "Break Through It All" would be right up your alley.
Supergiant always comes out with strong soundtracks with their games. In addition to Hades, you should really look at Pyre. Another legendary OST.
Baldur’s Gate 3 OST is one of the best and super topical right now
I want him to react to the hades theme fight that does, CALL AN AMBULANCE, BUT NOT FOR ME ! "
Please react to the Guilty Gear Strive OST. It has so many great songs!
Mirror of the World or Drift would be a great starting point.
The connection between Dionysus and Zagreus is actually referenced in the game, as a sort of easter egg in one of the dialogues
I love this game, It's Godlike ;)
As for recomendations, You might want to give "Wasteland 3" a listen moste of the OST are parodies and new renditions of other already existing songs
Some of the best imo is "Down in the valley to pray" "Battle Hym of the Republic" and of course"Blood of the Lamb"
You finally did it!
yessss, listen them all 🫀
the soundtracks for pyre, bastion, and tansistor are also made by darren corb and ashly barret
I recommend the songs "Carrying the weight of life" and "Mobius Battle" from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. some great songs from my favourite Video Games/Video game OSTs
just found this and love your reaction! would you ever look into "Good Riddance" or "The Lament" from the Hades OST?
If you want weird and haunting I have a buffet of tracks all from the same Raid in FFXIV: "Hic Svnt Leones", "Scream" (both of those being more rock inspired), "One Amongst the Weary" and lastly "Athena, the Tireless One" (weird and haunting). The reason why I list all these together is because the track evolves until the final one combines all the leitmotivs from the entire Raid series together. There are a few more tracks from the Raid but with these 4 you can clearly hear how it evolved. I realize this is a big request, but for some reason nobody has reacted to the music of last part of the Raid yet and you also get to hear "Scream" which will be highly requested sooner or later as its very popular.
all of the Supergiant games have great music, Transistor is expecially awesome,
Doom Eternal OST is chock-a-block with heavy metal bangers
More Ado and Hades please! :D
The boss theme - God of the Dead - is SO GOOD! (no vocals tho)
you just have to watch the Decade Animash (2010 - 2020) || A Mashup of 100+ Anime Songs, it's a peak, a love letter to the anime world
"haunting": Orpheus: 💀
Day 54 of requesting a reaction to the following openings:
Chivalry of a Failed Knight op
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress op
Kiznaiver op
You could make a multiple op reaction for this. Thank you!
You should check Hollow Knight OSTs, I reccomend "Mantis Lords" or "Sealed Vessel". Please :)
I wanna recommend Jump Over Yourself from a game called "The World Ends With You". That game has a lot of baaangers
Brooo
You need to Play and react to Transistor and the Song Paper boats and the Saddest "Hey" I e ever heard
Wow, this was cool. I love it's style.
For recommendation, I would definitely say Witcher 3. Every single OST in it is 100% a masterpiece.
Yoo If you're reacting to a new anime openings again, please slide in Romance Dawn Opening! I think you didn't react to it yet!
love your videos from india
I recommend every single Supergiant games game ost. And the games themselves. My god they are just *so god damn good*
Hades has a superb soundtrack.
I would recommend Final Fantasy XIV "In the Balance" .
Final Fantasy XIV also as amazing soundtracks and from each genre something
I recommend Fatalis OST from Monster Hunter World
Supergiant games all have amazing music
I will always recommend Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Especially the former's song "World Revolution."
Curiously, despite beating (and enjoying) Hades a few times, I'm honestly not familiar with this song.
I think you'd like WE RISE from the game NIKKE:Goddess Of Victory
I'm biased in this recommendation, because I love Blue Archive like no game i've ever played. But hey you've technically already done one reaction with Gura's cover of 'Target for Love.' In terms of Gacha games it probably wouldn't impress you as much as Arknight or Genshin, but there's lots of heart in Blue Archive's OST i would like to recommend 'Unwelcome School, Re Aoharu, and Endless Carnival.
Listen to the song ‘God of the Dead’. The beat drop is fucking insane. Same ost
The Deep Rock Galactic OST is amazing.
