Fun fact the Rimet Cup was a real event in 1966 where someone stole the FIFA world cup. In the end, a dog named Pickles found the missing trophy which is why there is a dog.

Some of the English VAs in Reverse 1999 are actors and actresses from Broadway in London, playing in musicals such as Les Misérables (according to a developer diary video before Chinese release).
The VAs were approached by the devs, given the script and story of their characters, liked what they saw and decided to take on the roles.
hold on, really? wow, that explains the stellar voice actors here. do you have any names on who those broadway actors and actresses are?
I played the beta and the storytelling is incredible, despite not having anime style cutscenes, there are cutscenes made with live2d but the way it is done looks like a moving collage, it is very artistic and unique. A problem with most gatchas is that the story is long and tiring with a lot of unnecessary information, reverse:1999 is the opposite, time seems to pass very quickly while you play because all the information is relevant to the narrative which is full of unexpected events .
Which is such a breath of fresh air. I've played many different turn based gacha games and I've all dropped them mainly due to boring stories. I feel like reverse:1999 may be in the long haul for me
100% agree. I have love for fate grand order but they drag on for so long that I need breaks for my phone to recharge and for me to recharge from exhausting from both grinding heavily just to spend 10 to 15 mins for one part of the story to progress but nit have the time to finish limited time events
The Theft of the Rimet Cup is an actual event in real world history. It all took place in the UK and the dog Pickles exist, and his owner, while on a walk found the Rimet Cup and returned it.
An update on the game: the huge QoL issues from earlier have been mostly resolved since cn ver 1.2 and the changes will be implemented in global by release. Thanks to Bluepoch's effort to correct their mistakes and save the game after its very bad first few months it's actually worth playing and not just watching videos of the lore now. Looking forward to you trying it out!
That is really great to hear, I think a few months ago when I first had reverse brought onto my radar, that was mentioned to me but I am glad they have listened to the community and made implements to improve the game!
@@georgieegames 1.0 and 1.1 was a rough time for the game, tons of people left and only loyal fans remained, currently 1.4 is releasing soon(the trailer released yesterday on bilibili hehe) and they are adding tons of new stuff, so they are improving the game by A LOT.🥰(also you were right with 1.3 being india inspired and you missed out on reacting to jessica's pv aka the deer girl lmao)

@@narius_jaden215 rewards from event were quite stingy, story wasnt that great compared to the rest of the main story and 1.2 and 1.3 events, and the farming still sucked before so a lot of people quit :/ cant blame them tho
@@narius_jaden215 They also stated that there would be no limited banner during the closed beta, but after the official launch, they suddenly introduced it. Then there's a limited character later on (a dog, literally) made players think it's a form of mockery. Which to me are not serious problems, and it's getting a lot better in the recent version updates, so don't worry about it
As an indian i love how each of the indian characters have different and distinct accents.
I've always hated the way western and other media always tries to portray indian characters with the stereotypical "broken english" indian accent, like India is such a diverse country so im happy to see the devs take that into account while making the characters.
There are a few indian characters that do have the broken English but it makes sense because they are either thieves or children. The rest are great and the fact that the smart character who is *basically a professor on astronomy and myths* is a native indian woman is really cool.
The story as far as I have played didn't have any animated scenes, but the characters during the VN section are very animated and are basically half Vtuber models with a lot of movement range. Everything so far has been voiced in super high quality.
I had the same thinking on where Pickles was inspired from but the Mr.Pickles show is extremely graphic and takes on sensitive topics so it didn't make sense.
The real inspiration comes from a dog also named Pickles who found the stolen Jules Rimet Trophy and basically saved the FIFA World Cup in 1966. His skin is based off on that!

Well, I can't say for sure if you'll like Reverse 1999...but it is similar to Limbus in many ways. And that is a game you seem to enjoy. It also helps that Reverse is one of the 3 gachas I'm interested in right now. Limbus(which I already play), Wuthering Waves and Reverse 1999 itself. These 3 are the gachas that really caught my attention.
It does look quite similar to limbus which ofc is appealing to me as I love limbus haha! Thats awesome and wuthering waves omg that game looks INCREDIBLE! It would seem we have similar game tastes haha!
It’s easier then Limbus in my opinion but then again project moon games are made to be hard nightmares considering their last 2 titles Lobotomy corporation (a nightmare to play) and Library of Ruina(also a hard game)
The english voice acting for this game is made from the ground up, hence why the the PV's have the animation synced to the voice lines.

Personally speaking the gameplay started to feel repetitive after two or three months. But I'd say it's definitely worth trying out just for the immersive world-building, funky character design and crazy good voice acting.

That is correct. I guess what I was trying to say is that there are fun repetitions and boring repetitions, and the repetition in Reverse is not on the fun side of the spectrum... At least that is the case for me. Maybe others would find the gameplay really diverse and interesting.@@kaycex1

@@yuhezou123 I've only been playing for 2 weeks since global release and I'm having fun. but just like you said, it might become repetitive. I really hope it doesn't since it's also turn-based, similar to honkai star rail. I stopped playing hsr cause of the exact things you mentioned
R1999 and Nikke PVs are criminally underrated.
One of my favorite games, and my absolute favorite character is Jessica, she's adorable in the new event.
Year the lips r moving with exactly what they said. Its because this game is originally English voice acted. All the CN trailers in BiliBili r in English too.
I started playing this! I really did not expect Regulus to be my fav character at the moment xD she's endearing and I love her antics.
It was a whiplash to hear so many characters voiced in a variety of accents in en. The VAs did so well and added so much personality to their characters.
The story also got me hooked fr. It's interesting and I like the pacing as you go through all the chapters.
This game is pretty good! I played it during CBT and it's absolutely dripping with style and passion at every corner.
It looks insanely stylish! They have clearly put a lot of time and detail into this game! I hope it works out for them! :D
As someone who have Indian parents and families, that trailer was so fucking good. The vas, screaming. The outfits, god tier. The FUCKING MUSIC, I was fucking geeking out when the singers came in, it’s so GOOD 😭.

I have seen some pretty good gacha trailers in my time but these may be some of the best I have seen! They clearly enjoy movie references going by these trailers and I like seeing the inspiration put into their own trailers! Its really cool!

For a turn based strategy game...they've been really cooking this Gacha will even come out perfectly well done by official release,and the variety of characters is juicy good.
You've seen characters from other games with live2d animations in em but this game took it a notch and said let's just go all in.
Honestly they didn't shy away from what old games and mmorpgs have been doing in the good old days with story telling or their products lore,this specifically caught my interest.
If only Arknights has voiced dialogues it'd be lit

i love hearing your insights after every trailer and your voice is very pleasant to listen to ❤ i found this game because of TikTok and I'm happy i did because this may be one of the most unique gacha games that is released so far, the biggest selling point for me are the en vas and character designs it's so diverse!
I'm excited to try this one out, it looks promising! I was pleasantly surprised by the concept/story and voice acting in particular. Its got potential for a great story just from what little I've seen. It also reminds me of Limbus too which makes me have high hopes as I've been fully consumed by the PM brain rot.
I would probably say that the voice acting in Limbus is more impressive to me at the moment; canto 4 really did a number on me. I can never recover lol

I’ve only started playing recently, so I don’t know exactly how much of the apple’s game lore is actually discussed… but considering Regulus’ origins in the UK of the 1960s, I’ve been assuming the Apple character is a reference to the Apple Records label created by The Beatles. Especially considering that in one of the artworks showing her record collection strewn about you can clearly see an album cover doing a homage to their album Rubber Soul… 👍

Seven deadly sins: Grand Cross, crossed with Limbus, the game. Just personally, I actually think some of the voicing is too over the top, not meaning any offence towards the cast, they did pour their heart and soul into it i'm sure, and I don't wish to downplay that. Maybe i'm just more used to JP voice acting, since most games I play, I play in purely JP. But even that doesn't make much sense, because JP voice acting is pretty over the top. I just think some, and I would like to emphasize, some. Of the cast sound like they are trying too hard. Just a personal opinion, I know many people would disagree, and that is perfectly fine. Just in my opinion, not the 'best' I've heard. Some for sure, others less so. I'd say it balances out though.

while the gameplay is the most mid about all the game, this game flows with personality it has been a minute that I have seen a concept with so much color and personality I feel attract to it like a moth to a fire.
i think its funny that its the 2nd time i see this happening, but Kazdel team DOES NOT upload all trailers! So you're actually missing quite some trailers(eg: there is a character pv for all new characters, including the dog; a pv called Xtreme Talent that introduces each character's playstyle; etc)
I think @Reverse1999HongKong would be a better place to check out all trailers ^^
