As a reverse 1999,honkai star rail and genshin player, i would absolutely recommend the game, i love the art style and story is captivating as it revolves around the storm which u will learn about when u start the game also it's turn based like hsr. I might have missed smth tho.

@@RayReyRei home schooled, i have a decent amount of time on my hands throughout the week. I split up the days and play a 2-3 hrs of 2 games each day. i dont rly care abt daily stuff either so if i miss a day playing cos im busy then it's fine

@@RayReyReiyou can just not play daily, and enjoy story and not gacha-related content... Although I still somehow juggled genshin, hsr and 2 jobs before I quit the jobs 😂 but honestly, Genshin and hsr outside of story updates took like 10% of my time anyway
@@RayReyReiboth don't require much attention besides logging in and it takes like 20 mins each. Gacha isn't demanding honestly so if u just need smth to play on the side then it's a good game. Charecters also don't need to be built to smoothly only lvl up so that's a plus

agreed. i usually switch to JP dub due to how cringy some of the en dubs are but not this one.

@@LiIBeary Normally i would've disagreed but yeah i feel the same way. Right after i got my meta tooth fairy team for the first time and playing through that one hard gamemode ( i forgot what its called) that's kinda similar to Forgotten hall or something. It was mad boring all the way through.

It is simple. Perfect for a side game and i treat it like one. Though it 100% isnt up to some peoples taste, it is personaly simple enough for me

this game is so underrated! it has amazing visuals, compelling lore, and such unique characters designs. i remember being terribly burned out and just so unmotivated when i saw this game by chance and decided to just try it. and what luck. while playing, i felt that familiar creative spark. i can honestly say that r99 inspired me to draw and love my craft again!

PLEASE, I need more reactions for this!!!! I stumbled upon the game by accident and thought to try it cause the graphics were so unique, and ended up falling in love with the game. So much diversity in characters with a darker story, AND the game is pretty generous too. They always have rerun banners alongside the standard and limited banners. They even had a special new year banner where you could get a 6-star character heavily discounted.
Bluepoch is such a good company!! The art direction, story, character writing are all superb AND THE BEST THING IS THE VOICE CASTING!!! LOVEE THE DIVERSIFIED ACCENTS esp since they are referencing real countries.
Also, vertin being her own person instead of another 'self insert' or boring template mc is what makes the story feel grounded

Reverse:1999 would be a great choice for entertainment after hours of playing genshin or other hoyoverse games, because it's great!
Is this a new era of Bran's channel? I'm not sure why are people shitting on reverse 1999, it's story is pretty interesting and the art style is very cool. It's also a very F2P friendly game, most content in the game can be completed with the free characters the game gives you, so you actually just pull for characters you like, not characters that are strong. The only reason to get "meta" characters is the endgame content, and to complete events more easily

The first trailer feels like a dammnn movie. And i love the variety of culture language accent in this game. first game that attracted me without fan service lol.
I play Genshin, HSR, and Reverse 1999. I totally recommend it! The characters are diverse (you can play as a dog and that apple, for example) in both species and race; there's characters from France, India, Britain, USA, etc. and their accents are all fantastic! It has great voice acting.
The story, too, is phenomenal imo. They were very... creative with the way certain things went down. It does have a more somber touch to it, so that is something to keep in mind.
The main character also feels important and irreplaceable, which is something I really enjoy. I think she's pretty cool.
Anyways, I'll watch any reaction vid you post about R99 soooo just consider it at least 😂
I'm really enjoying the game ended up taking a break form it cuase I have too many games to play, but I do highly recommend it, it's a good game seeing you react to the trailers makes me want to go back and continue it right now

As a day one player, the gameplay might not be everyone's cup of tea and tbh a bit repetitive, translations can be a bit wonky, but they do nail everything else, from story, character designs, ost, voice acting.
Also, the only grinding you do in this game is to level up characters, there's no annoying rng artifacts you gotta grind for 10 years

The release date reveal trailer for 1999 is also a really good one with a banger ost that sadly I have yet to find anywhere else in the game and it’s honestly criminal that it’s not used elsewhere as far as I know.

Omg Bran I love reverse1999 the story is so good. You should watch the version trailers to get a better understanding of how cool this game is (and they rerun events so you won’t miss much if you start playing now anyways) I love this game the diverse accents are so cool

I play lots of gacha games myself arknights, genshin, hsr, and pgr but the only game i keep logging in everyday is reverse 1999 there's a certain charm in this game that i can't seem to get enough of and the story is a masterpiece as well. Highly recommend

the trailers, advertising, and the story in general is already enough to get a lot of players in the game, it's just that good, the character designs, representation (i guess, it has a lot more than genshin thats for sure) and a lot more.
I started R1999 cause of this video, and I have to say, as a genshin and Hsr player, I think it’s an amazing game. The story is sooooooooo soooooo good and I think you would love it as well. Also you didn’t see some trailers from this game where they show some cutscenes of things happening in the story, they’re awesome. I hope you’ll bring this game to the channel, or even just play it for yourself. It really really is amazing. May the peace be with us🩵

Reverse 1999 is one of those games that is story before gameplay but this works so seamlessly with the combat too - just light. I love the art style so much and the dub is really unique. Music is great too. Every patch Vertin travels/timetravels around the world and it's great for concept settings: 60s England, Horror Slasher 80s USA, Modern India, Greek/Pythagoreanism island, then Australia and China for the next ones (CN)
Path to Nowhere and Reverse 1999 has the best stories in gacha. HSR and Genshin can get away with a lot because it has superb graphics and gameplay but PTN and R1999 has so minimal gameplay but amazing art direction. Extremely immersive.
== Also, if youre gonna try it and complain you wont have anything to do after the main story quests, this isnt the game for you lol. PTN and R1999 are games you play 10 min a day after main events and main story quests.
Was sold once I realized regulus was voiced by Carina Reeves! I loved her work as Tataru in FFXIV truly underrated actor.

This is Bluepoch's first game and im so impressed of how polished everything is. Most engaging gacha game story i have played recently up to par with fgo imo and really diverse cast of characters.

If you’d like more context with 1.4 Trailer: the Storm is reversing time backwards from the year 1999. The main character Vertin is shocked because after one of the Storms, they have now ended up in the year 2007. It is not supposed to exist.

this game has been fun and honestly a nice side game since it doesn't take as much time. i'm quite a casual player and i have been playing since around the early beginning of the global release and i usually need about 5-10 mins and i could be done. very nice especially if you are a busy person.

Been playing Reverse 1999 since V1.2 and its a good game. The story is my favorite part of it. The artstyle, voice acting and ost are also nice. I'd recommend everyone to try it out if they have time since its a free game.

my favourite thing about r1999 is the dub! its not 'english dub' the characters just happened to talk english with each other, in private or monologue they would talk in their mother tongue! i love it!!
Started Reverse: 1999 on day 1, highly recommend it! As a few here have probably noted already, it is fully voice acted, with excellent voice actors! And despite being a Chinese game, English is the game language, though non-english characters will revert to their respective native language if on their own. The game music is phenomenal as well! They have a series of character music videos, you should watch those. The game story is complex, with the writers interweaving the story with little known actual historical events.
My favourite characters are Regulus and Jessica, Regulus is such a brat, and Jessica, well, I'll let you discover who she is...

Oh please please, if you find some time and feel like it do try it out. It's got lots of reading but it's very interesting. It's also very chill. There are days I don't have much energy but do want to play sth and I turn to this one. This and Genshin are big loves for me gacha game & story-wise.

I played during global release but dropped it after about 2 weeks. its ight. its a normal turn based gacha game with a decent story that isn't fully fleshed out like the others. a lot of unanswered questions but most of the characters and abilities are cool.
It’s truly criminal how underrated this game is. The artistic direction, the story telling, the voice acting (english dub especially), the designs of these characters, it truly deserves its propers. Even the gameplay I like more than HSR’s, and the most important thing above all, it has no artifact system, and be it having experience with both GI and HSR, how the in the freakin hell do I say no to that?
