E major is E-F#-G#-A-B-C#-D# So the first note of the scale shape on the A string as demonstrated would be frets: 2(B), 4(C#), 6(D#), 7(E), 9(F#), 11(G#), 12(A), this would give you your 7 modes 👍
Long ago I suggested something along the lines of this video when you were asking for ideas about guitar instructional content. I totally forgot about that from several years ago but lo and behold here we are! I’m trying this as soon as I can!
This is not about a certain scale as much as about an approach to scales if I understand it correctly. I could be in any drop tuning as well, and start any scale in the 4. Box fitting to the drop tuning-drone ur in as root. That’s what I’m doin at least 😅 but still struggle to keep the scales “accessable if wanted” usually I mix stuff up or even stay away natural minor (just too comfy with it 😭) 😂😂
i am a total novice here why is there no diagram of the scale , 99 % of this i did not understand but the scale sounds amazing, everything goes so quick it just does not sink in . any advice would be much appreciated , please remember i am a total novice . Ps it gets worse than that im left handed too 🤣
it's the major scale of E. If you want to follow along, try slowing the video down. I understand you like to rely on diagrams or tabs, but try to just copy Rob and repeat. 😊
Maybe Rob is being gracious enough to include the absolute beginner. Why make a useless comment like that just because you know how to tune your guitar
Everybody should have a chapman in their living room. A Rob Chapman that is…….also a chapman guitar they blow me away they are phenomenal
Thank you very much for taking the time, this is super helpful. Can't wait for the exercises. I hope you are well, take care Rob.
I watch a lot of guitar videos on youtube and very few make me grab a guitar. WELL DONE, can't wait for the next video while I work out my pinkie.

Come for a video about a scale, essentially get a bonus lesson in music theory. Love it!

That was really good. You shed a new light for me. After 50 years of playing guitar that's very cool.
The minor at the end being natural minor. Great scale. Melodic and harmonic are useful too, but not used as often.
Hey Mr C.. thanks for this fantastic and informative post.. I look forward to the next one for sure 🎸✌😎
What a great lesson! Thanks! Is why I keep acquiring Chapman guitars.
Very cool!!!! Thank you brother! Definitely going to start working with this.
Nice explanation of one of my favourite modes. Very useful.
Thank you, Rob. Best to you and yours for 2025.

Can you please help me to get lecotto down ? Can you please do a teach on this? Break it down how you do it?
Can you please teach the harmonic minor and how to apply it as well as combine it with pentatonic?
Algorithm boost.

Great theory from Rob- I hang on every word or should that be every note?
You forgot to drone with the minor scale. I love droning in minor keys
I came to see the most important scale 😩
Nice, Rob. Thank you!
What ever scale, I still enjoy your Chapman ML1 Pro Modern Neck Through. When are you make these again? The concept is great.
That brand has been done for quite some time now
@@infinidominion No, it's not. There is a whole new line now.
Nice.
How much is the guitar

Why in 2025 would you give the tuning notes .. ppl did this in the 80s on vhs instruction tapes 😂
Maybe some poor soul doesn't have a tuner handy.
