I own a G20 as a part of my live rig, but this is something I'd definetely put somewhere at home. It looks very complete: a pretty classic amp itself packed with modern tech inside that gives you all the variety of how to connect, play and record.
Bro, idk if it's just me, but I don't think Revv ever put out something that sounds as good as the Generator MK2. That amp just had something special to it...
I keep telling people if they insist on remakes, ‘Maximum Overdrive’ and ‘Gremlins’ would be awesome with today’s cgi. Can’t change the soundtrack though.
This is exactly what I'm looking for in an amp. Nice cleans, Marshally 2nd channel, third channel that melts your face off, and modern features. This might be the first time that I spent $2k on a amp.
Once you kicked into the Green in the mix, got some really solid vintage doomy stoner tones! Sounded killer. I’m a guitar noob, to takin in as much as I can. Great watch Fluff.
I've always enjoyed the Generator tones, but not the prices. I've been pretty set on going with the Mesa Badlander for my live rig but now I might have to consider this instead!
Hi Fluff, I would like to suggest to test the amp with different pickups (single, passive humbucker and active humbucker) So we can have an idea of how the amp would behave for different types of guitarists. Don't know how long would take in a video, but just a suggestion. Great video, as always!
Did they provide the amp or did you buy it? You said it wasn't sponsored, but that they're friends so I couldn't tell if it was like, "Hey, buddy old pal wanna review this for us?" and they gave it to you or loaned it to you or if you bought it. Sorry if I'm just a knucklehead, it just wasn't clear to me.
Works with cab too; it should. As I’m 99% positive. I have a MK3 100p that I’m thinking of selling; downsizing to 50 seems ideal for my setup and needs
Killer demo Fluff! What Two Note IR’s do you like best? I got mine last week and absolutely love it! If anyone is interested, I did a short metal demo of The Revv G50 here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsuEOoXPQ_3ZY?si=NLf9jixoAVHJhIZX
Seems very low-mids focused. What is there like 15-18 different settings, if you use all the variations for each of the 3 channels? Plenty dark sounding, thats for sure. Definitely aimed at heavy genre players. Certainly not for anyone looking for Fender'ish pristine cleans. Lol.
Depends! ?? What type of music do you play? ..........dropped tuned chug chug metal (7, 8 string guitar) = REVV. Anything else, Soldano would be an option. Tone/feel (like opinions) is subjective. Play them both and decide! Both are pretty sweeeeeet!
Got mine on order it will be my 3rd revv. Love these amps, they’ve been the tone I’ve been after for yrs. To me you can’t beat what they offer

I can say the Mkiii Rev B(Latest iteration) of the Generator, is also something special.
Was able to talk to the REVV guys during their tour, on their way to NAMM. Very nice guys!
Absolutely dig my Generator 7 40
That green channel reminded me of the movie "Maximum Overdrive". The soundtrack was done by AC/DC.

The TIME has Come!!!
I owned one. Sent it back. Second channel is terrible. Almost no gain, flubby, weird voicing. Makes no sense.

Hey Fluff, thank you so much for your videos!!! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸

Digg the purple channel ,,, l bought a g3 pedal. Ultra wicked def be lookin to obtain this !!!!!

Great suggestion!
That’s a lot of amp for the price. Sound great!
2100 @ 50 watts . Plenty a-hundoughs watt'Ers furr less moola. Just blabin... Well I can think of a few 100 watt amps for less ..
Is it leaps and bounds ahead of the G20 if compring the blue and purple channel ??
Great video as always good sir!

Loaner amp!
Will there be a Red channel version ?
Hey Fluff.. this G50 vs the Victory Kraken VX Mkii which one would you pick?
The Victory is rad I would choose the G50 personally only because of the sheer bells and whistles and tonal options it has.
Does the reverb work with a cabinet, or only when using the two-notes direct software?

So the 100p/100r is just $200 more?🧐
REVV and KSR....keep an eye on these two companies.

Check out other videos. The tones from this video are far from good. Presence and depth were at minimum.
This or Soldano Astro?
This.

Impressive amp to be sure but I don't know I'd call that clean "pristine" @_@ What clean channel?
I am not capable of making pristine cleans. Others are tho.
Is that a lotta knobs or are you happy to see me?
Just sayin' -
I owned this amp for a week. No bueno. Crunch channel is straight up terrible.
But I still need an Ox for it, on top of the $2,100.00.
No...
