Tbh, trying to teach someone how to use editing software is not that simple, even just a new program. I learned how to use Magix & then Vegas as well literally by fk'ng around in it. That and the fact that charlie feels like a friend telling you about a problem he had to solve, no youtube o twitter drama, no company getting sued, just a simple topic
7:32 The reason is probably because Vegas tries to access the activation server on start-up. Guessing something like a certificate expired on MAGIX's server so the program tries to check that your copy is legit, can't connect to the server to complete the check properly, so it thinks it's pirated and immediately closes itself out.
yeah I just said to same thing, probably just should have looked for someone else's comment first. I doubt it's even that it thinks it's pirated, it's more likely that the expired cert causes the app to panic and insta-crash lol, like why would that cert ever expire? I'm sure someone thought

@@SoullessScythe It is not necessarily foolish to suggest reinstalling the entire Windows operating system to fix an issue, as sometimes this may be the best or only solution. However, it is important to consider whether such a drastic step is truly necessary for the specific issue at hand. In many cases, there are simpler and less time-consuming solutions that can be tried first, such as updating drivers, running virus scans, or troubleshooting specific programs or settings. Reinstalling the entire operating system should only be considered as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted or if there is a serious system-wide issue. Therefore, it would be prudent to carefully assess the situation before taking such a drastic step and to explore all other possible solutions before resorting to a complete reinstallation of the operating system. Reinstalling the entire Windows operating system can indeed be a solution to various problems such as corrupted system files, persistent viruses, or severe software conflicts. However, it is a significant undertaking that requires a considerable amount of time, effort, and technical knowledge. Additionally, reinstalling the operating system often results in data loss, which can be catastrophic if you have not backed up your important files. Before opting for a full system reinstallation, it is important to try simpler solutions such as running a virus scan or using Windows' built-in troubleshooting tools to fix the issue. You can also try to identify the specific program or driver that is causing the problem and uninstall or reinstall it to fix the issue. Often, these simpler solutions are enough to resolve the problem, saving you the hassle of reinstalling the entire operating system. Moreover, reinstalling the operating system can also be unnecessary if the issue is hardware-related, such as a failing hard drive or a defective component. In such cases, reinstalling the operating system will not fix the problem and may even make it worse. In summary, while reinstalling the entire Windows operating system may sometimes be necessary to fix a problem, it is not always the best solution, and other options should be explored first. It is important to carefully evaluate the situation, seek professional advice if needed, and weigh the potential risks and benefits before making any decisions.

It is important to carefully evaluate the situation, seek professional advice if needed, and weigh the potential risks and benefits before making any decisions.
you might be able to block the program from accessing the internet through windows firewall, so that you don't have to unplug the cord
I’m one of the other 12 Sony Vegas users. Thank you for raising awareness. Its an important topic I dont see many talking about.
The title of this video combined with the out of focus intrusion at the bottom of the screen is spot on.
One of the best things about this dude is that he never takes credit for himself when he uploads something. He always respects us, the audience, and he is always full of energy in his videos. Keep up the hard work!!
Seriously. In every single one of his stream uploads, he goes out of his way to edit out the bathroom breaks. I’ve never seen a streamer ever do that before, and it feels nice that he respects our time that much.
@@Croach193 please tell me there’s some level of irony in that comment 😂
@@Unfortunately_Mickey no iron can be found in red meats
Is this a bot? I swear I’ve seen this comment word for word
Imagine spending $150 to buy Sony Vegas in 2023? Yikes, that's rough buddy.
150$ is like, a penny to him with all the money he has. That being said, there's no worse feeling of spending money on something that didnt fix the issue.
dazzle.. pinnacle.. i miss when my parents were still together.
Dude Sony Vegas!? That’s such a throwback, reminds me of the good old days being a 12 year old making RuneScape music videos
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this!
What if this comment motivates the next Adolf Hitler? Have you ever thought about that
Okay this account is definitely a bot
For a second i thought the title said "i can't believe this pokemon isn't being fixed"
These videos feel like forbidden knowledge
The pirate season is really high right now
“It took us three days to make that potato salad…THREE DAYS!!”
I feel you... Sony Vegas enthusiastic
Crazy to think I had the exact same start as Charlie lol. Vegas and a Dazzle to do Let's Plays 😌
It's probably something akin to an anti-piracy check checking that the software is valid, they may have done something silly like take down the verification servers.
Surprised that “Aria: come fast and get into my body” and “P” aren’t here yet
Hopefully they fix the issue so Charlie can deliver some more quality slop for us
i love how moist charlie clips is basically just becoming the main channel but with different videos so that the main one doesnt get spammed so much lol. bro is basically making 10 videos a day.
Did I just learn that Charlie used to make AMVs?? That's amazing
“The machine that is Sony Vegas” LMAO
Your intellect is appreciated in this chaotic time
I'm still using Adobe Premiere CS5.5 and I do complicated animations all done in premiere. I'd love to upgrade...but man Adobes Subscription prices are insane.
I like how Charlie keeps new finding ways to address us "Moist Charlie spectators"
Charlie really hit us with the "that's about it" fake-out this time.
With these types of videos, this is quickly becoming a 2nd channel, and I’m perfectly okay with that
Also Sony Vegas user here, I'm glad Charlie talk about this and I'm surprised the moist man is also a Sony Vegas user lol.
These "Moist Charlie clips" intros really turn my frown, upside down. please don't stop.☺
As someone who uses WMM 6.0, I feel for this
I also use sony vegas for personal projects. Im with you bro
I was convinced charlie just did his editing by splicing together film reels
Charlie really got me with the 😂😂 this video and I couldn't tell you why.
the fact changing the time to before May 3rd 2023 fixes it is hilarious
Charlie and the 12 other people trying to use this software should form a support group. Or maybe start a petition. There's s chance that the company was just canceling support because they thought nobody still uses it, and this will be news to them.
had a dream a couple months ago i was teaching charlie how to make animations in adobe animate and he was very entertajned by the wacom cintiq... charlie we've got to do this
I haven’t used Sony Vegas or Pinnacle Studio since I made Halo 3 videos in 2008. I really want to learn DaVinci now that I’m tired of Adobe’s constant crashing.
"There are dozens of us! Dozens!"
"dont spit in our mouths and call it a beverage" -confucius 2023
i forgot for a second that charlie’s using this as a second channel for miscellaneous rants that i thought this was a fan channel that reuploads his rants
Charlie is really starting to treat this channel like his own Mogul Mail
This channel feels like a secret club even though he's openly spoke about it on his main channel, it has a different vibe to it
Charlie thinking this was an accident is cute
Im apart of the AMV community, and people mainly use After Effects but there a lot of us who still use Sony Vegas. I have Sony Vegas 17 and it works fine. Havent tried opening it in the past 3 days though
Galaxy-brain geniuses being on Twitter is such a crazy concept.
