Tbh this is the best cheap headsets for pcvr since you don’t have to worry about your headset being rendered useless from the cable breaking like a lot of the other budget headsets. But, if you’re going to use this for standalone then just save up for a quest 2 with how successful it’s been so far it’ll definitely be supported for a few more years
Tf are you talking about they have already released an oculus quest 2 which is better and stronger in every way while be a hundred bucks cheaper. I don’t understand why you would say the og quest is the best when it’s outdated and over priced and at the price point of 400 bucks. While the quest 2 is at 300 dollars. It’s dumb that you even recommended it for pc vr. The quest 2 is better in specs, visual clarity, and resolution.
Good Review, i bought a used one 2 Weeks ago. Its my first VR Headset and its pretty dope. Also bought the Virtual Desktop App, so i can play Steam VR and that kinde Stuff wirelessly, which is biiiiig plus over a Wired Headset. Much love from Germany
This was my first headset and i was blown away as i never knew this technology existed. But i also have the Quest 2 as well..and still enjoy using the Quest 1 especially to watch movies..One of the biggest reasons is the OLED display that provides that rich blackness inside and for the life of me, i can't understand why they removed it from future headsets. Even with better clarity and FOV to watch things in LCD display weakens the effect of being immersed in a darker place..Playing Vadar Immortal was great in OLED than LCD.
great to hear as i just bought oculus quest 1 as my first vr for pc, i think i will not be dissapointed as my expextations are to just be better than phone vr lol
Thanks for your comment. Everyone I know has the Quest 2 or a valve headset, so I had no one else to compare it to to see if it was a known problem or something with my setup. Regardless, something that should be known and glad they fixed it on the Quest 2
Should have gotten a quest 2. More and more games are not supporting quest 1. Walking dead 2; among us, into the radius, population one are all quest 2/pcvr. No quest 1 support
I was wanting to know about how well the Link works on the Oculus Quest because my bro and I don't want to juggle the Rift S but don't want to break the bank either for PCVR. Thanks for being up front about that detail.

Yes, because they are shipping both Quest 1 and 2 without Android 10 and Oculus Version 30, which requires the facebook login. If you're comfortable rooting the quest, there are tutorials online which show you how to bypass the Facebook login requirement, but I already use Facebook for several things anyway, so it didn't matter to me.
I just want to know one thing: Is it possible to play Phasmophobia or VRChat with the headset connected to the PC and not have lag or do you not recommend it? I hope you help me :(
@@hsko8007 Yes. I play with SteamVR and works perfeclty. Just need a 5ghz router to play woth Air Link and a decent pc. Mine is R5 5600x and RTX 3060 Ti. I recommend it :D

Does anyone have any experience playing VRCHAT on the quest 1 just stand alone? That's the only game I'm planning on using a quest for, and I have to buy second hand, and haven't found enough info on how the game plans on this headset. I used to have a Q2, but had to sell it to cover treatment costs, and since then, have been trying to figure out if it's worth getting the original quest as they are usually a lot cheaper second hand. Found some in amazing condition, and just need some advice on VRCHAT specifically
Personally I wouldn’t say get the quest 2 if you’re only gonna play VRChat. The older CPU in the Quest 1 can’t keep up with everything going on in an instance of VRChat. The Quest 2 has a special CPU designed for VR games and will perform better.

Appreciate the comment my man! Yeah, VD is a great application to buy if you have the money!
BIG L for paying 15$ instead of using meta's free airlink or what was it called

Dope review brotha just subbed loving the content 🔥
Uhh the controllers uses AA batteries. Age shouldn’t affect the battery life.
Great review! Just a suggestion but maybe add background music to keep your watchers interested 😊
Your still interesting to watch though
I just brought the quest 1 , it's mutch cheaper and it may not be as good as the quest 2, but its still amazing

You can actually boost it to 90hz
How ?
Not the quest 1
Quest 2 has 90hz
But quest 1 is 72 only
Do you think it is still good to buy the quest 1 now? Because someone said that the Games next year will not be supported with the quest 1
If you are gonna connect it to a PC yes, if your gonna use it for standalone no
Nice Review! Does Quest 1 work well in the metaverse?
Hey. Quite honestly I'm not sure what the whole metaverse thing is, but I'm sure it should work for any SteamVR, Oculus VR or WMR activites. Thanks

No link to Amazon. Thanks for the good review
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I’ve updated the description with the Amazon links!
I’ve never experienced any lag with the headset.
hey man, 2 years later. just wondering if quest 1 is still worth it in 2024? it will mainly be used for PC gaming. Thanks in advance :D
tbh it’s mid i think some games are not support to quest 1 but using Link cable is a life support but yet still a good vr
yeah i bought it, im using a link cable for steam vr so im good @@toioxbrian1880

Quest 1 is unironically the best PCVR headset which is why it sucks so much that it's losing support

so should i buy it or just stick with my non gaming pc?

terrible, rarely over 30 fps and crashes alot
Yeah until they optimize vrchat, don't even try to run it. It sucks. Frame drops and everything.
Works with link cable Thur a PCs GPU supported usb c output
Are that easy to set up n do you need micro SD card
Hey, thanks for the comment. No SD card is needed-there actually isn’t even a spot for one. Everything is stored internal to the Quest Storage.
Just a helpful suggestion.. talk slower. Us gen xers love this stuff too but don't understand when you talk so fast. Good review though.
Yay
I have a quest 2, and 1, and 3, so there’s a BIG difference.
Oculus Quest 1 sucks so much and the display and fov is horrible so I got an HP Reverb G2 V2
I wanna sub but I'm not gonna BC he's at 123 subs
