I watched Illinois beat 20 Wisconsin last night. They really did not look impressive and neither did Wisconsin. Mizzou has far more talent than Illinois but the braggin rights game is always a battle.
The most underrated parts of his game is his elite handle for a 6'11 specimen as well as his very good defense, he moves his feet like a wing, is a good shot blocker, and a deflection monster. He's really good with all American level potential.
Loving the content John. This is the place for Mizzou hot stove league info. I am not overly impressed with IL this year but you can throw all that out the window when the ball is tipped at Enterprise Center. Mitchell is my favorite and great point on him and Gray being a great defensive duo. Gray has really impressed me and Gates is getting the most out of him than any other coach. MIZ Paintin’ Marshall. You said Painting right???? Classic, and that commercial cracks me up everytime
Just a thought. If Nwanerri ends up at LSU, he signed his NLI a month before Baker & Peoples took off. So he might have stuck around & really wanted to play for them. Just a thought.
So cringey how some of you guys count your eggs before they hatch, just assuming KU is in the bag already. Just like we were a set in stone playoff team coming into this season, right??
DUDES, check this out... Drinkowitz was in NC trying to get DE Kyle Kennard, & he was addressing the Charlotte TD club, and after getting boo'd made a joke. He said, "You need to worry about getting a coach, & Belichick is trying to negotiate free tuition for his GF." LMAO. Love Drink.
Have you visited Louisville? The city and the campus would have you begging to be in Columbia. That is an unbiased (or at least well-informed) assessment.
I watched his highlights and he can leave people behind like cook did. Mendoza looks like he got to top speed a little quicker which gives him a little more escape capability in the pocket
The qb from Duke is the best. Transfer from that was at tx. Tulane qb is really good. One other at James Madison. The wr from TX tech and the wr from TX. Both were top 5 nationwide in the country
Moss I feel is most likely to go to Louisville. Brohm sends guys to the NFL. Perfect fit for him. Louisville has the capability at receivers who can make plays in the quick accurate passing game.
Not a huge fan of Van Buren. Hard to tell bc he played at msst. Pass stats are mid. 6'1" 200lbs. 1886yds 55%cmp 11tds 7ints. (sacks taken out)42att 158yds 3.8ypc 5tds. So he's got legs. He's a 1st yr QB on a really bad team, so who knows what a change of scenery could do for him, but I like Mendoza a lot more if we're in on him. Mendoza would be my favorite QB that we're linked to right now.
@@Drollpanther literally the only part of passing TDs I care about is red zone ability. Oursidrvthe red zone most pass TDs are WR catch and runs. Give me a QB who can make all the throws and read the defense. Anyone who can do those is going to be a good quarterback with huge upside if they can run and have confidence/intangibles.
@@toddalexander1903 Agreed. Pyne looked pretty good that last game he played.. and he was fine at ND. He needs a different (slower) offense vs Cook and quite frankly we need to beef up the o-line more. Pyne needs a bit more time for the play to develop but then he can unload that big arm downfield.
Love mendoza. Real dual threat guy. 6'5" 235lbs. CH HS QB in Miami. When you take out the 41sacks for -235yds, 47att, 342yds, 7.3ypc. 69%cmp, 3004yds, 3:1 td/int. 145rate. True JR. 2yrs eligibility. Imagine him with quality WRS, OL, & RBs. Went 25/36 233yds 2tds 0int v AUB this year in a CAL win. So he can hang with the big boys. Love it if we got him. He's the total pkg. Higher ceiling that Cook.
I prefer Mendoza but people are underrating Moss. His lack of athleticism is a bit of a worrisome, but that is his only weakness. He has a good arm, great touch, Really good field vision, and he's willing to take a hit in pocket do deliver a strike down field, basically all the things Cook couldn't do. And I think he fits Kirby offense....we run no zone read and very little RPO. Moore's bread and butter is pounding the zone run game and turning that into big pass plays. As long as our offensive line is pretty good, I think our offense next year barring injury could very well take a step forward. Way more explosive pass plays downfield and way more 20 yard chunk plays over the middle. Basically all the things Cook couldn't do.
@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646 We need 3 new OL. A pocket passer doesn't work without time. Also Moore does a lot of QB runs, fake the run then QB run, & he does do RPO's. We need a mobile QB
@@JMFBizzle he runs that fake pitch, QB run 5 or 6 times a year but very rarely has he run RPO The last two years. And I'm confident between transfers, guys already on the roster, and Lange Fenuku Jones we will have a good line next year. And I'd Drink and Kirby wreck confident in Moss so am I.
If the Kid has seen the light and wants to come to Mizzou just in time to get a game in against his former team next season I say let him. MIZ!
I watched Illinois beat 20 Wisconsin last night. They really did not look impressive and neither did Wisconsin. Mizzou has far more talent than Illinois but the braggin rights game is always a battle.
I went to WIS. The team is not good. ILL should have trounce them at home.
We're gonna crush ILL.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Crushing Illinois.
Mitchell is a solid player. Very athletic at his size. Love it if he developed his outside shot & FT% a bit more.

@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646 Ok let's list him at 6'11" then. Iol. MIZ!
Malik Murphy was at Texas before Duke. He left because Manning was the heir apparent. I'd be very interested in Murphy.

Maalik Murphy! you guys need him RTR!
When was the last time we beat KU in FB & BB within a 12 month period?
Can't wait for that trouncing at CUMO on Sept 6 next year.
MIZ!
Would have been Nov. 2011 and Feb. 2012.
Maybe Jan. 2012. Either way, that timeframe.
@LockedOnMizzou So 12 years ago... It's time to end that streak.
Do we play them again next year?

You mean KU that just went 5-7 in prob the worst p4 conf that just lost their OC?

Nope.
Louisville has some ok/nice areas and history. If I had to choose I’d live in MO. Louisville is way woke on top of it.
I'll save you from any further embarrassment from the "Paintin" Marshall nickname. Peyton "The Bulldozer" Marshall.
More like PRIDE.
So, the Kansas DE made a stupid mistake going to kU, he was 18. If he's got the skills then bring him in.
Murphy has a rocket arm, but not much of a running threat.
If we can get Mendoza, that's a HR.

Maalik Murphy!
Screw nwaneri if he wants to leave we don’t want that KID lmao
Murphy is the one or Wegman
Jaylen Brown in the portal. That’s what happens when you recruit high end talent and play mediocre transfers instead of them

Just saw Locked On Coogs has Weigman transferring to Houston.

Pass on Mendoza. 16 touchdowns is better than Cooks 9 but still not good

TD passes is the least thing to worry about.
@@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646no actually its not. Touchdowns are how you scote points. You want more points than your opponent

Drew Pyne/Sam Horn/Matt Zollers. Who ever wins that competition plays, don't undervalue knowing the offense.
Horns thrown 8 passes and coming off an injury , Pyne is awful and Zollers is a true freshman coming off an injury. How about hell no
