If you wanna play Nurgle in the future I recommend a cultist on a warshrine or just a warshrine unit in every army. Kill artillery with cavalry and just make a big blob with your chosen, so they all get healing.
The massive lag on dark elf turns is due to a bug where they can spam out a ridiculous amount of black arks, like it spawns more than one at a time when they perform the rite, it really slows the game down. I'm like turn 100 and something in current campaign, with Morathi being the other strongest faction than me left and she has like 20 black arks sat outside every port which is impossible to get with how the mechanic normally works. I did wonder if it was that and then saw another youtuber mention it, which confirmed it for me

The pathing in this game is honestly so infuriatingly bad I can't fight a single battle without at least one "FS MOVEEEEE!!!!" being shouted at the computer. Siege maps in particular are horrendous for pathing when your melee units stand just in front of ranged units refusing to engage the last 1 step to prevent them firing.
Yeah I noticed too during a Beastman campaign recently that even with a visible target on the other side of the map the enemy would still send some units "accidentally" into my ambushers while I was waiting for reinforcements (I was fighting Vlad who also had a better overall army).
That's been my experience too. While luring a dwarf army with malekith their gyros turned 100 degrees to the side to beeline for my hidden infantry. Makes hiding a nonsense
Since wh3 if the ai have no viable target (aka all hidden unit or if you have only flying unit visible with hidden troups on the ground) the ai "know" where the hidden units are and send someone to "discover " them.
@@sinuosalice-1434 I had some almost annihilated units on the other side of the map, which were also chased by the Black knights and some other units and while legends infantry and cavalry was hidden the Soulgrinders were not so the dwarves had available non-flying targets.
I almost had this happen to my beastmen. Was 2 dwarf holds from ultimate victory and had to manually fight about 15 dwarf late game armies to take them
As Nurgle you could have force marched outside Darkhold and recruited a lord there and got a full 20 stack that would help out granted it would be roughly half damaged and is expensive but might have been an idea.
Real I did anytime I was worried about a battle near a settlement, even if they have a lightning strike throwing extra units at them for more value is super helpful, especially if you've got a lot of recruitment buildings, they replenish so fast you're never out of spare units

I thought it was weird that the Dark elves were so massive and lagging the end turn. I just started an Alarielle campaign, so I suppose I'll have to deal with ridiculous numbers of black arks.
How did you deal with Ungrim Iron fist? - Well, we evacuated Evacuated what? - _Everything._ Our troops, our bowels (praise papa Nurgle) until there was nothing left. Then we beat him anyway :)
They're great in auto resolve which is all the AI does so that's why. Thankfully they are ridiculously easy to beat for the player due to their slow speed and insistence on reforming their lines rather than engaging you. Thorek seems to be the only one who survives to late game in most my campaigns.
13:45 Large monsters need something to cover their flanks, so they are best grouped with other units. If he had charged the Toad Dragon in with the Soul Grinders it would have worked much better.
Dwarfs are easily the most annoying race to get rid of on Legendary. If I am playing a non order faction I always make it a priority to get rid of them asap. They always win on the map.
They piss me off so much. They shit out armies at mach speed and have so many good missile units, and dealing with Thunderbarges makes me contemplate selling my computer
Yeah I played Wurzhag last couple days on legendary and was having so much fun. I prob shouldn’t have skipped Thorgrim but I went straight for ungrim to help out skarsnik and Azhag got rid of them but then all the other dwarves won on their side of the map and it was unwimmable
Completely disagree they're by far the easiest AI faction for the player to defeat, they're too slow to catch you. If you're the attacker you cannot lose to dwarfs ever the way the AI plays them as a defender is hilariously bad. The only faction I find hard to play as vs dwarfs is tomb kings since they have 0 units strong vs dwarfs and all their lords and heroes lose to basic dwarf lords and heroes, still winnable by kiting them round the map but that gets excruciatingly dull very quickly.
It is truly insane that a strategy game such as this fails to make units responsive to your strategic commands....this is probably my most hated issue with TWW3.
If you wanted to avoid the battle or make it massively easier you could have cancelled a building or done a quick trade for enough gold to summon a second lord at Darkhold and fill his army with any of the free chieftan units you don't care about. In this case you could easily dump 4 Fimir and 3 skinwolves and 3 chariots and get an autoresolve win if the enemy doesn't just retreat. RoR soulgrinder can also hard counter Goblin Hewers since they have such limited ammo.
I've recently experienced the AI going straight for hidden units across the map as well. A couple of times. Its possible three a bug affecting the hidden status
-3 soulgrinders, -2 Chosen, -3 Chosen w G.W, + 2 Rot knights, +1 fat Boi, +1 Herald Nurgle, +1 Herald/Sorcerer Death, +1 Shrine of Nurgle/Cultist, +1 Beast of Nurgle/Exalted Hero, +1 another toad dragon and its a good army for AR. Better if u trade 2x chaos knights with rot fly dudes with death heads to go with the Prince on siege battle adventures. Very weildable in regular battles too. IMO

I like these vids because I'm more a " cinematic " player. Meaning. Guns go pew and I press k hahaha. I know some stuff and do some things but I'd rather watch cool fights. So this teaches me and I watch cool fights.
When this DLC first came I commented on a video and mentioned that the dwarfs and the empire are getting dangerously OP after this patch I received a lot of hate and insults in return but now I am so sure that it may take some time but soon all of you will feel what I have said about them
Dwarfs are single handedly making me not want to play the game. Everything about fighting them feels futile and frustrating even if you win and it just makes me want to mod the dwarfs out or something.
The ai was changed a bit in 5.0 and now they are a little bit stronger on the campaing and recruit more armies, still this is far for what the dwarf were in wh2 where they had 100 settlement and 30+ armies by turn 80 so i don't see them as OP as people say. If you are having trouble you could always drop the difficulty maybe you'll have more fun
@@sinuosalice-1434 To be honest I never played WH3 and all I say is based on my experience with the dwarfs in WH2 In WH2 almost in all of my campaigns Dwarfs are my actual nemesis and getting rid of them is the hardest thing possible They are stupidly strong from a far In the late game, they can give you the hardest challenges of your entire playthrough with their Iron drakes and Organ guns at range and their slayer hordes and iron breakers and hammerers from up close They are already stupidly strong in both melee and range When I am playing as dwarfs nothing can even touch my front line nothing not even 4 armies of GS or 4 armies of end-game warriors of chaos doomstacks with Archeon and Kholeck at helm I single-handedly destroyed the entire chaos invasion with Thorgrim's army alone in 3 turns (the reason being the movement range of my army) without my army getting even a scratch I couldn't do it with any other of my favorite doomstacks To me, dwarfs in WH2 were already OP, yet they pushed them even further? This is madness A properly made late-game dwarf mixed stack can obliterate anything you throw at them When you play as the GS or Khorne or Slaanesh or BM or any other melee-focused faction the dwarfs would be stupidly hard to get rid of I don't know how you folks are looking at that and say Nope they are quite balanced when I can see how stupidly OP they became They are game breaker right now from a roster perspective and CA maybe make their campaign AI a beat stupid to compensate for that but this is just bullshit When I play against a faction I want to play against their full might and be able to beat them even in that regard but right now it is impossible to beat a properly made dwarf doomstack by some factions Just start a co-op back-to-back campaign and let your friend pick up the dwarfs and you pick the greenskins to see what I'm talking about

end game crises is so pointless, in my most recent campaign. the selected race to be the end game .. all the armies litterally migrated halfway across the map to attack with in 15 turns an the aliances for most part wanted nothing to do with those armies...they just bypassed them with out even sacking or raiding... straight bee line to my settlements...i was like fuck that im done
generally I absolutely love chosen of nurgle, especially if you completely buff them with everything and they got like 180 armor on max level and an insane amount of melee defense and attack! but this is probably the worst army to go up against with them haha! because usually I put 2 nurgle-heal-shrines in there and place them in a blob in a forest or in a corner and go afk for 20 mins and win XD with their magic resistance etc they can be insanely good and even one unit can get 1000 kills about without getting close to dying

Debuffing slayers with Soulblight is useless. They have no armor and weapon strenght cannot be reduced due to slayer trait. Miasma would have been better call, cheaper spell with better effect.

I noticed this with Marathi as well. Turn 85 and it froze so long on her turn I thought I was going to have to hard quit. On good hardware too

Dwarfs always seem to be a dominating faction for me. Even before their update and without it being an endgame. Especially Thorek.

you can just skip their movement in the camera options unless you really want to watch them all move....
one unit of blunderbusses from the Chieftan would have been a better choice than the toad dragon certainly against Ungrim

Toad dragon is by far the most underwhelming unit from the dlc. I am not more routinely disappointed by a unit than the toad dragon.
