As far as the semi being held up and robbed ... Yeah that never really happens. As you would need another box truck/lorry ready to haul off the merch and you would have to know which trailer is the right one and be willing to risk that you might get nothing . Was it an inside job ? 100% Yes, was the truck driver involved 98.% certain that person was in kahoots, there is still a 2% chance someone in the shipping department was responsible but yeah inside job. Will the consoles then shipped to another country for selling ? Most likely in a couple years we will start to see them show in a place like China, Philippines or El Salvador. I work in a global shipping companies warehouse, we have interesting truck trailers filled with stuff show up a lot and some very shady truck drivers as well.
It's definitely a bizarre situation for sure. The replacement is almost at my doorstep and I'm kind of impressed with how fast they manufactured and shipped it out. But to your point, I am very curious to see where the originals end up.
