Ironically Killer Croc is the best boss in the game despite not having a health bar or a second cutscene showing his true defeat. I think what makes his level so terrifying, even more so than The Scarecrow, is that he turns Batman into the prey. Batman has been an apex predator for the entire night and then Croc takes that away. It’s the feeling that he can jump out of the water at anytime, you can’t even fight him physically and that you have to move slowly which is another thing he takes from you, you’ve been moving fast throughout the Asylum and now you can’t even run otherwise it’s a game over. The Level design is incredible and it just adds to Arkham Asylum having the best atmosphere, Killer Croc’s Lair is by far the scariest location in the game, the Arkham Series and one of the scariest locations in gaming in general.
When I was a kid, the killer croc level scared me so much, I couldn't even finish the game. I had to watch a guide to help me do it faster so I could complete it lol
Man what are talking about! Obviously the best boss fight was Victor Zsasz. The way you have to handle that batarang and hit him on the ground in the beginning. Super hard! Oh and Riddler! The way you have to grab that last riddler trophy man and send his location to the police! Super Hard! No but seriously, jokes aside. I think some people are used to traditional hack and slash, one on one, big health bar boss fights. In which I understand, I love them too! Which I think this was the first experimental game to give us boss fights in order to fight like Batman instead of a Lord of the Rings warrior. This game has a little bit of both. It gives us diversity and as long as it's definitely a little challenging, it could count as a boss fight and it does prove that boss fights don't always need a health bar bigger than your character's. However there are storyline villains who never fight you directly. Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, and even Riddler in some cases are perfect examples. You get to beat them up, but don't really count as "boss fights," and more as storyline villains, which is okay and makes sense for the villainous type that have master plans and are the brains, but can't fight properly.
I agree with u fully I just really think boss fights should feel like a bigger deal rather than something u put in the game to act like you achieved something. Like poison ivy’s fight felt like a legit boss fight and that u work for to beat. But fights like the joker as a final boss fight just wasn’t it at all which was really disappointing

They aren't that bad your just hating, the second to last titan fight sucks, the poison ivy fight sucks, the joker fight is dumb but it's easy anyway The rest are pretty fun imo and the croc one is amazing

I enjoyed all of them except for Joker Titan. Poison Ivy and Killer Croc were the best bosses in asylum.

Well they’re pretty much terrible in every games (except Mr freeze). Arkham origins had great boss fights.
